Squad for the ODI series in the Windies tour released today
AUSTRALIAN SQUAD: Steve Smith (capt), David Warner, George Bailey, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, John Hastings, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, Adam Zampa
Looks pretty good to me, good to see there's only one Marsh in the squad. Trav Head set to make his debut as well 8) ;D Missing some Joey Burns tho.

Did they actually say Head would be playing? I don't see where he fits in.
Warner
Finch
Uzzie
Smiddy
Bailey
Maxy
Faulks
Wade
Starc
Hazlewood
Zamps
That'd probably be my team if they're willing to give 10 between Maxy and Smiddy. Otherwise Marsh probably comes in for Bailey (this is more likely imo).
The fox sport report said Head would probably make his debut. Against the Windies we might try him out for a game as well.
Can't really disagree with your team there, looks pretty good.
Oh so Wade makes it back into the Aussie squad for this but was conveniently left out of the T20 squad which allowed him to play the final rounds of the shield.

first game on tonight, starting at 3:00am :-\ should just sleep now and watch the recording when I wake up, but I love watching the start too much. let's do this boys!
Edit: alright take no note of the fixture because both sites I got it from were wrong. flower it!
Double edit: ...or maybe it is right. Foxtel said there was a game on last night but I can't find the result so maybe there wasn't...
of course there's been a bit of rain around. it's stopped but could be a delayed start. bugger it, I'll watch it tomorrow
Close game
just finished watching, got a little bit tight in the end after a couple wickets, did the job though. our spinners won us the game, not often that is said
also just realised that fixture up there is flowered up haha. should've checked what it said before posting. I'll fix it later
pretty sure the fixture is right now
good start from the boys, Saffies 2/43 after 10
Saf were a little unlucky the first wicket, given not out on the field but the 3rd umpire overturned it. was probably a 50/50 so a little unlucky for it to be overturned
fielding Smiddy, running mix up gets the 3rd wicket
Saf 9-189
could be a tricky chase
Warner gone early
1-1
I just realised there was already a thread for this series/tour
my bad :-[ I dunno if someone wants to merge this thread into Richo's here http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,106576.0.html
Khawaja gone now. runs aren't easy out there. 190 looks a long way away.
make that 3 down. Smith gone LBW and wasted a review
3-21
disgraceful decision by the ump. was only missing leg by a metre
Smiddy wasted our one review though
4/51
another terrible decision. Finch got reaaaal lucky there. hitting half way up middle. umps having a shocker
Marsh gone
it's all up to Finch now
sleepy and I've hit a serious wall so I'ma log off
What's happened?!
well. we flowered that one up! thought it might've been tricky though
cheers for merging PB! I'll look better next time :P
It was only a chase of 190, how did they manage to stuff up so badly?!
Noticed Maxwell played a brilliant innings when he came in under a bit of pressure as well ;)
wasn't an easy pitch to score runs on. to be fair to Maxy he got the dodgiest decision of all time. Saf did well to get to 189, Behardien played a good innings and was probably the reason they were still in it

Oh was his the one that couldn't get reviewed but barely hit him in line? Fair enough then, not his fault the review was already wasted ;)
To be fair, Maxwell is a complete spud and probably would've been out the next ball anyway
the Aussies are playing South Africa tonight but I won't be watching it cos I gotta wake up early for the footy. let's hope we bat a liiiiittle bit better than last time
flower yeah boys! will watch when I get home
5th match just started, Finch out early. Khawaha should've been run out too
Head is making his debut
commentators saying Warner is out of the series with a broken thumb. or fractured. one of the 2. or finger. I dunno
K Waj fiddy. keep goin son
1/91
and Smiddy gets his fiddy with a 6
1/115
some good tight bowling by the Windies and Smiddy hits one straight up. gone for 74
2/171 after 34.1 overs
Khawaja 90*
Khawaja choked hard. struggled so badly through the 90s and just ends up running himself out for 98
seemed like he was in the 90s for like 3 days. unbelievable
3/196 after 40.5
finishing in a flurry of wickets
reckon Khawaja in the 90s killed any momentum we had. can't knock the bloke too much because he batted brilliantly, just he got stuck looking for his first ODI century
7/265. should've been much more
gonna have to bowl well. sleepy time
WI 2/134 after 25 we are in trouble unless some quick wickets come our way.
yep... just not enough runs. should've been at least 40-50 more
another great run out from Wade though was good
Early dropped catches did not help as well.
yeah Khawaja dropped a sitter right at the start and that really hurt us
Cricket ? is that even a winter sport? :)

Cricket ? is that even a winter sport? :)
it is in England, I'm sure of it ;D
Aussies won the toss and elected to field
already pretty sleepy so not sure how far I'll make it. looks like it may rain a little later
with the game being washed out means we have to beat the Windies in our last game to make the final
QuoteThe forecast for Tuesday does suggest that there is the possibility of rain again, although it looks more promising than Sunday's weather.
:-\
still gonna stay awake and hope for the best
Smiddy won the toss and elected to field
must win game
Starcy strikes in the first over
Smiddy takes a screamer at first slip. or maybe even standing at 1 and a half
2/29
Starc again, bowling beautifully
3/31
Smiddy brings back Starc to break the partnership... he gets the edge... Wade drops it
tough chance but he had to take it. Samuels gonna make him pay
farkin finally. a partnership of just under a million
4/plenty
Samuels goin big
Samuels out on the last ball for 125
Windies 8/282
chaseable. do
Finch gone. lazy shot
1/35
Khawaja gone too. flower it
2/35
ahh god dammit Georgey. was lookin good too. cmon Marshy
3/99
Smiddy fiddy. keep goin skip
3/163
120 needed from 114
Smiddy my mannnnnn
Marsh fiddy as well 8)
cruising. flowering cruising. then they decided to do that. flower me

2nd run was never on wtf - what a delivery to Maxi thankfully that was Banns last over.
good over Maxy
a lucky 4 there. onya Samuels
wooh. nice work boys
sleepy time
Onya Maxy
How good is having Starccccy boy back and Smiddy playing well
But, can we please flower off Scott Boland? Bloke is useless
2/69 off 10 Yuck

yeah I have no idea why Boland played over Zampa. think that will change come the final
well the Windies beat the Saffies last night, meaning it's Aus vs WI final Sunday night. do this
Smiddy won the toss and elected to bat
NCN and Zampa in for Faulks and Boland
I'm flowerin wrecked so I'll catch this tomorrow :(
1/34 after 6 btw
Looking good for Australia
Australia made 270 thanks to a late hitting effort from Wade. (57 off 52 balls)
WI in trouble at 5/110 after 28 overs.
Mitch Marsh looking good for man of the match slightly in front of Wade with 32 and 3/7 off 6 overs,
lmao "there's no one down there"
well actually it's straight down Maxy's throat but whatever ;D
great work boys. VICTORS
Mitch Marsh is the MotM - got the important wickets and some handy runs. well deserved!
Man of the Series is Joshy Hazlewood
