Thought this was a nice little feature during the week last year. Admittedly, I don't intend to go as in-depth this year into the milestone players, mainly because there will be soooo much more players reaching 50 games. But there is only ONE player capable of hitting that untouched 100 game milestone this year :o that is no other than the world beater known as Bradley Ebert. He has played 81 WXV games (and 1 reserve game) over 4 years, ALL for Mexico City, so if he keeps up his average of 20.25 games, he can create history... this year!
I'm also going to attempt to announce the 50 gamers during their 50th game, instead of after. Doing it in the lead-up is tricky, as they might not get selected.
But for the time being, below is the current games holders* as of the lead-up til Round 1 of 2016

HISTORY MAKING GAME!
Dane Rampe the first EVER player to reach 50 games coming from a rookie draft! That's right, the spud draft!
I'd like to know whom has played the next most games from a rookie draft... I wonder if they've played more than 10?
And what makes it more special, is that he's stayed at London the whole time! This is possibly one of my favourite milestones for the year. Most successful rookie draftee by a mile. Well done London/Rampe!
Well done Rampe!
I reckon Blicavs would challenge him for best rookie though :) I don't have those numbers on hand though
50 games for one club is a rare achievement in this comp
best rookie draft picks:
9. London - Dane Rampe
43. Pacific - Zachary Williams (auto picked due to 24/12 hour rule)
29. Toronto - Kayne Turner
43. Dublin - Neville Jetta
20. Toronto - Tom Ruggles
probably missed a few.
I reckon Williams the best pick up and it was auto.

Dustin Martin | Dublin Destroyers | 92 |
Jordan Lewis | New York Revolution | 92 |
Shaun Burgoyne | Berlin Brewers | 91 |
Travis Boak | Rio de Janeiro Jaguars | 91 |
So barring injury, resting or dramatic form drop, we'll have our first 100 game player in either Round 2 or Round 3 next year!
Noting it is a lot closer if you include EurAsia or AAP Alliance games in the total, as Ebert's played none.

we should include them :P
I reckon Dmart would be number 1.
Do AFL players have All-Australian games against Ireland included in their career count?
No, they don't, but it's still acknowledged separately.
That's why I'm not counting EurAsia/AAP games in the players total :P

best rookie draft picks:
9. London - Dane Rampe
43. Pacific - Zachary Williams (auto picked due to 24/12 hour rule)
29. Toronto - Kayne Turner
43. Dublin - Neville Jetta
20. Toronto - Tom Ruggles
probably missed a few.
I reckon Williams the best pick up and it was auto.
54. Mexico City - Mark Blicavs (autopicked due to 24 hour rule)
Not a bad one from the 2012 Rookie draft.
Archie Smith clearly the new leader imo
No bias
Semi Finals - 50th Game
There was none! But kudos to Garlett who made his debut in a Semi Final, whereas New York's Jordan Lewis moves to 93 games
Should have postponed it for Lobbe :'(.
