Thought it deserved its own thread instead of me doing it in the discussion thread again.
Like last year, I will take the best 15 scorers from each team, regardless of position, rookie status, sub eligibility etc, add them up, and the team with the highest accumulated score at the end of the 3 rounds wins.
No captain or home ground bonuses either.
Just a bit of fun, and really, it can give a sneak preview of the year to come!

There is some mighty fine interesting results here.
Tokyo is Round 1 champion, boasting 8 centurions with only 3 of those sheathing the blades for the first time for the Samurai :o it really is quite an impressive score.
The team with the most depth (keeping in mind only the best 15 counted), was New York with 33 players vying to take up arms in the Revolution.
But what I find quite amusing, is the team that was comprehensively the worst for this round. Savour this moment dear Worlds community, we won't get many opportunities seeing them all the way down there. This team was also the least represented, with only 18 players vying for the 15 counted spots.

Some really good signs for us in the pre-season! Nick Graham looks to have carried on where he finished last season in the midfield before he got injured and Hunter has picked up where he left off as well.
Plenty of good scores from our other younger players - McDonald, Miller, Mills, Wright, Horlin-Smith and Parish all impressive.
I know a lot of these guys will be a bit inconsistent this year, but bodes well for the future. The JPK, Prestia, Hunter, Tyson, Graham, Mills, Parish, Acres midfield of two seasons from now looks very imposing.
The only downside I could see was Blicavs looking like he may lose Ruck after this season. However, we've mitigated that well by not trading Longer and picking up Nankervis in the off-season. Also Wright may be a chance of gaining Ruck in a season or two.
Fyfe, LeCras, Stevie J, Suban... and we're only half way through the round 8)
If only it really mattered.

Round 2 results!
The absence of St Kilda and Brisbane definitely had an effect this week; hurting some teams more than others (i.e. Rio, Christchurch, Cairo, New Delhi), also hurting their chances at the pre-season title.
But, with Round 1 champion Tokyo coming in at 7th (despite having the largest player pool to choose from AGAIN), things have opened up a little!
The team coming in 1st this week unsurprisingly had the most centurions (7), 2 more than the next best total, and really, are the best looking bunch of men you'll ever see.
I'm of course talking about the mighty Berlin Brewers notching up a noice 1427, edging out Cape Town's 1410.
At the other end of the spectrum, you'll find Moscow whom also just had the 16 to choose from (this week's lowest total), whom where surely peeved at hearing about O'Meara's latest setback.

With all 18 teams playing on the same weekend, you could argue these results are the closest you'll get to a traditional WXV weekend... but really, it's not.
This week, we saw Dublin yet again struggle with the demands of the pre-season comp; having the least representatives (16) and the second lowest score for the week. But what a fall from grace for Tokyo! The round 1 champions and only marginally second best team over the first two rounds, finished dead last to all but allow for another team to take the pre-season crown!
So who will it be?
In due time! But first, our Round 3 results saw Christchurch champions and a step ahead of the pack, with Rio, Seoul and New Delhi rounding out the top 4. Mexico City this week had the most to choose from (30).

Over this brief competition, we have seen two things if nothing else; potential, and injuries. Potential of failure, success, or even individual players. And injuries, none more so than Cairo's Dayne Beams and Beijing's Jackson Thurlow :(
In case you didn't know, the pre-season winner is determined by tallying up the scores across the 3 games.
But the team that has come out on top, did so by a mere 12 (SC) points :o
So without further ado, I declare the 2016 pre-season champions to be...
THE NEW YORK REVOLUTION!
Led by the ever dependable Josh Gibson (124 average across 3 games) and the 2015 sorely missed Mitch Duncan (99 average over 3 games), and despite not top scoring in any of the rounds (coming 2nd, 5th and 8th respectively), the RD/AK coached team edged out the Cape Town Cobras in claiming their first pre-season trophy! It should also be noted, that had the Bris v Stk game not be washed out, that the Christchurch Saints might have very well taken out this trophy, coming in at 3rd despite a poor Round 2 score. But nevertheless...

But lastly, I'd like to finish with the announcement of the Wooden Spoons. Had everything went according to plan, this was supposed to be the start of a premiership hangover... now, it just looks like a hangover. The Dublin Destroyers have finished dead last, largely thanks to many of their players not taking a full part in the competition. But still, is there a lesson here? Are the Destroyers not as unbeatable as they were last year? Time will tell!
