Interested in coaches feedback on end of season structures/points they target.
Here are my goals:
goal
backs 1x100 2x95 3x90 = 560
mids 4x120, 4x110 = 920 + c = 1040
ruck 2x100 = 200
fwds 1x110, 4x100 1x95 = 605
= 2405
are these too optimistic?

I just try and target the best performing players possible
Of course we want the Top 6-8 of each line, but it doesn't work like that

Fair enough RD, though I always have a figure in the back of my mind that I am looking for a player to average. Sometimes not for the year as with upgrades it is for the balance of the year.
Appears to me better teams avg 2050-2100 at start of the year and increase to 2400 by end of year. So they are not necessarily aiming for line or position averages but aiming to maximise points as opportunities present themselves. The first option is more strategic in approach and make it easier to assess opportunities.

That's the aim of the game :)
As an example of how much you need to avg to get in top 100, I finished 69th in 2014 and my avgs were:
Rnd 1-7 (Pre Byes): 2256
Rnd 8-10 (Byes): 1911
Rnd 11-20 (Post Byes): 2467 (Was 10th at this stage)
Rnd 21-23: (Injuries!!!): 2098
That's obviously 2 years ago, and every year is different. But it's a guide nonetheless.
Thanks Hoggyz. Surprised at the starting rounds averages. Gives me something to think about.
