Best thing about Cyril is he can have 12 touches and still get 100+
Worst thing is his hammys can go twang at any moment
Agree with Dons - my first picked forward and has not moved

Every list has Deledio yet I don't see him in many teams. People say he is overpriced but like Shaw, worst case he drops 10ppg and you're left with a top 5 fwd who you paid 50k overs for
He is a lock in my team with Shaw and Goldy

Good point Gigantor, given me reason to review my fwds and see if my reasons for Martin, Bennell and Barlow hold up. For me Martin and Bennell are going to be 2 of top 3 fwds for the year. I am not willing to pay top dollar for someone who is not a DPP. Got hurt last year when I didnt have Lids and Martin. But still managed to do ok. So will continue to monitor as NAB starts. If Martin is on holiday then Lids will be considered

Crazy to think that a guy that's averaged 100+ for 8 years in a row can't get a gig haha.
Was in my side but have changed him to Dusty for now. Nothing wrong with starting lids but the extra money I can use having dusty makes my team better and don't think I'll lose any points from having dusty ahead of him
Exactly the same in my team

True but his game count matters for overall points, its not just about what he averages & i agree that its ok to pay 50k overs for a top scoring player but if you are paying overs on multiple players you will be starting at a disadvantage to some of the better SC teams, those 50-75k overs all add up.
I know you guys will get a good laugh out of this but, wait for it, I'm tipping that this is going to be Joe Daniher's breakout year.
He's got all the right equipment, can kick like a mule, and now he has a coach who will know how to get the best out of him. He just may squeak in at number 10. Remember, you heard it here. ;)

He will be a gun when he grows into that lanky body. Great hands, athleticism, goal kicking and work rate getting better.
I think he's a year or 2 off but I expect him to become a very good SC player

Yeah I have him or Montagna in mine for sure
I cant see any reason not to start Lids. Yes he might be slightly overpriced as someone said previously by about 50k, but he has averaged over 100 for 8 consecutive years. Its the situation of how do you get him in quickly if he starts the year averaging 115
Another thing that sways me is the drop in interchange numbers might mean he rests forward more and improves his scoring output and score assists. *Cough Cough* He only averaged 22 possesions last year when he averages 112 point, possible improvement there too.
A slim, fit, firing, unique Taylor Walker then 8)

i am worry that he has missed a few games but given he averaged 115 unsubbed last year im going with him.
cant believe Gunston isnt on every list.
Martin Gunston Lids locked in and Barlow isnt far off. All four will play lots of mid time.

The reasons I'm not starting Lids are Martin and Barlow who are better initial value.

Was already locked, but this was nice to read
Lyon on Barlow: "We want to play him more inside mid than last year. We felt we took him away from his strengths."
To make some quick guesses...
109 - D.Martin
106 - B.Deledio, L.Dahlhaus
105 - C.Wingard
103 - M.Barlow, H.Bennell
102 - T.Greene
100 - D.Zorko
95-100
L.Franklin, L.Montagna, J.Billings, D.Smith, J.Westhoff

Barlow's decline this year was largely from a small role/movement change and his early injury.
From what I've heard that role will change back next year

Well to be fair he did, Barlow just struggled early on. Then the focus went to youth in there

Once again the mid/forwards dominate the top 10 with Zerrett, Zorko, Dusty the clear standouts. Surprisingly, 5 KPF's made the top 10 total points list with JJK the best placed at #5!! NRoo had another good year along with Joey and Boomer, with Lynch probably the most impressive out of that list given the personnel GC have had missing. The avg ppg tell another story though, with all of Wells, Barlow, Hall, Dahl, Lids all missing large portions of the year yet featuring in the top 11. Gonna be tough to predict as with the defenders for next year, but well done to those of you who got close.

Martin.... Nailed it and had him all year
Deledio... Spudded it really... Got him midway, carried him and burnt me really.
Montagna... Nailed it... Had him as an upgrade early on.
Dahlhaus...on averages he makes the list... Got him at the end of year.
Bennell... Got that one wrong.
Gunston...Nailed the pick even if he did scrape in at 10th on total points. Never in my team though.
Roughead...Got that one wrong too.
Wingard...Dud pick.
Billings...Dud pick. Zerrett was the one.
Zorko...Nailed it.
Massive failure all things considered so pay no attention to my words pre season 2017.
I've got no idea.
I had Merrett, Dusty, Franklin and Hall in my forward line by the end of SC who made the top 10 list.
Never got a chance to get Zorko in as he was always too expensive for me and when he finally did start to drop I had to go for super value picks like Buddy and Dahlhaus as I had stuff all money and trades left.
Dahlhaus and Montagna were my other 2 forwards.
