I haven't heard a lot of news about Robbo but that could be a good thing. he had an ankle fusion back in 2014 (or 13 not 100% sure) which affected him that year, but he was great last year so no reason why he can't back that up this year! he's one of our better kicks so we need him to play as much as possible

They said about a week ago, he's doubtful to play a NAB game, but he should be fine for round 1. I was looking for the link but I can't find it now... sorry mate.
Okay thanks B.Man, PK .. I think he hurt it in an intra club game and haven't heard a thing since, like you say no news is good news hopefully, normally AFL site is sniffing around with stuff like that.
Just curious as he's fairly important to my AXVIII DT team.

Yeah that's right. But it was written down as a 'rolled/sprained ankle'.So they'll just be putting him through a modified program until he's right to run fully on it. I expect he'll be ready for R1, Arizona should be fine :P
I'm just going to leave this here...

Fox Footy is doing the round table. Dermie brought up the Saints have no stars apart from NRoo and Stevens (it gets better). David Kink pipes up with 'oh they have stars, Armitage and Stevens, Jack Stevens has one two best and fairest awards and no one knows who he is'
I don't know a Jack Stevens either

Freeman's first game back in the Sandy 2's, 28 disposals and a goal at half time ;D
up to a lazy 46 possies at 3 quarter time
Is this in the dev. league? why the hell is he playing there lol

it's his first game in like 2 years! take it nice and slow with him and eaaaaaase him back into it. might still play dev next week too
Hey boys, just wondering if you can fill me in on Dylan Roberton's role in the first three games thus far? Considering him for SC Draft (he was dropped in my league!). He seems to be racking up enough touches, have they been ineffective?

I'm not really an expert on player roles, I'll just sit back and watch the game, but he's an important player for us imo. has a great kick on him and teamed with Jimmy Webster and Newnesy they help us move the ball forward. can pinpoint passes to leading forwards which is something we need more of. no idea how he scores in SC so can't give ya advice on whether or not to take him, but I feel comfortable when the ball is in his hands

Thanks mate, shame he's out for a few weeks, might be worth picking as an investment though!
Cheers.
read on BF Blake Acres is this week's rising star nominee
congrats Blacres was an awesome game and glimpse into the future. better not flowerin get dropped this week!

QuoteAt least four Victorian clubs are putting together packages to try and get West Coast’s reigning best and fairest winner, Andrew Gaff, back to his home state next year, with St Kilda believed to be an unlikely front-runner in the race.
Gaff is not unhappy in the west, but he comes out of contract at the end of this year and the star-studded Eagles are finding it impossible to get close to the offers being put to the 2015 All-Australian.
The Saints have plenty of salary cap space, and are reportedly prepared to part with their 2016 first-round draft pick or emerging WA midfielder Blake Acres, but it may take both of those items if they’re a chance to get the deal done.
I mean it's doubtful but I guess it's worth talking about. I'd love Gaff, but wouldn't be prepared to put Blacres up for trade
I definitely wouldn't want to do our 2016 first pick + Blacres. but to get quality, we gotta give quality
there's probably nothing in it but was interesting to read that's for sure
Blake Acres wins rising star nomination.
Okay, let's get rid of him.

haha yeah I don't see it happening
Acres is contracted until end of 2018 for a reason. There will be other ways to get Gaff.
Acres is a good talent and the Saints won't want to lose him but then again Gaff won't come cheap.
if it were to happen I think all we'd offer is multiple picks, say this years first and next years first. I don't think we're allowed to trade next years first though because we traded this years second. I don't see us trading any of our young guys, which we might have to. don't see it happening
Gotta make tough calls to get flags

Gotta make tough calls to get flags
no doubt mate but I can't see us trading a guy who the coaches gave a massive extension to
it was a tough call that got us Acres in the first place, trading McEvoy
Jade Gresham is this week's Rising Star nom! what a game. what a goal 8)

Acres has had a huge month. Big bodied midfielder who can stand up in a tackle, shrug it off and run away.
Only way I'd be happy to trade him would be for Fyfe but wouldn't mind too much if we kept him. Looks to be a star of the future and with McCartin, Gresham, Billings, Newnes, Ross and coming along nicely the Saints are well placed to have another crack at it in the next few years.
NRoo has officially stepped down as captain
(https://cdndata.bigfooty.com/2016/09/283520_be8fcd0f416762019b3b00a937248d3a.jpg)
well done again Jacky boy!
and a big congrats to Geary. certainly changed my opinion of you my good man! massive chance to take over the captaincy next year
can anyone explain to me why Armitage dropped from a 110 average to a 90 average last year? Is there any chance of him going 105+ this year?
I cant find any reason for it and thought you guys would have a better idea.
The 110 avg was a flash in the pan, I wouldn't expect much more than a 90 avg given the Saints have a lot of good young mids coming through and likely taking on bigger roles.
Not a Saints fan though so could be completely wrong.
yeah I reckon Nigeymon is just about spot on
Armo had an awesome break out year but I mean in honesty it was probably over due. not in that he didn't have the talent, but we had a pretty good midfield when he started out. he shouldered most of the load in 2015(?) and the stats show it
he has a bit more help in the midfield now so he doesn't need to do it by himself
I don't think he'll be fantasy relevant. not premium relevant anyway. should be pretty solid each week
