Title: Thoughts on Aaron Hall.
Post by: The_Captain on August 21, 2015, 01:33:44 PM
Need to trade parker and mitchell is now out. Think of parker to fyfe and mitchell to aaron hall. I have a cash league final and dont really want to field ben reid or luke mcguane for the week. I think Hall has gone 100+ 3 weeks in a row with this mid time. Thoughts on getting him in to my team. WIll get mitchell in next week anyway as my last forward upgrade.

Thanks

Im looking at him at the minute he's in my team but I may need to rethink it with all the outs this week and little back cover for Picken and Boyd. Suns depleted mids, he's getting time in there, up for a new contract so he's giving it his all to make every post a winner. All good signs and the cream on top , he's very cheap for a bloke that can post ton's.

Go for it man, I got on Hunter a couple of weeks ago and he's been mint. Similar scenario I think

Yeah could be the wildcard i need to win me 800! I only have parker and mitchell of all the carnage. Could of been worse having boyd and picken down back. But thats the reason i didnt get boyd cos i knew this would happen. My backline of hodge, mundy, mcveigh, newnes, simpson and gibson is going well... minus gibson. hot and cold i spose. But hall at 420k.. Could be 500k in 2 weeks and be a steal of keeper.

i'd give an opinion but I haven't seen these last 3 or so games where he's been smashing it to comment ...

I'd say though, if you need to risk it to win it's worth a shot - why not??

Hall has pulled out some monsters recently, and sounds like the exact player you need, significant risk, but recent form has be undeniable. Part of me wants obviously this spike to continue, but the other wants his price to stay relatively low as an option for next season!

Can't be guaranteed that he will play mid next year with guys like Ablett, Swallow etc healthy.

Yeah pumped with his score on the weekend. There is no chance he will get these numbers next year. with '

Ablett
Omeara,
Prestia
Swallow.

These 4 blokes are the core of their midfield with Bennell and rischitelli probably the next 2 likely to run through.

Hall will find himself in the forward pocket more than likely and back to what he averaged in the first 5 rounds of this year again..

But for now im enjoying what he is doing :)

and that's the sole reason for it - like Rischitelli was early season
enjoy it while it lasts, but expecting it in 2016 is highly optimistic

In fairness to Hall, even though he's only got this chance through injury, fair to say hes taken it with both hands. Playing some inspired footy!

Yep, hes looking good through there! Got a bit of speed which is helping him find the ball.

Definitely! I can see him getting small stints in there while guys like Bennell or Gaz rest forward. One of the very very few positives to come out of GC's season imo!

Yep, him and Tom Lynch over the last 5-6 weeks have been awesome.

Good to see you got on him, all the outs last week meant I missed him and may have to again this week.

Even though I've been watching him for weeks with no option of bringing him in, I'm going to have to pass for the rest of the year, I want to be bringing in players that have the ability to go bang over the next 2 weeks.  If you want to play it safe then Halls good for 105-110, but I'm going for glory!  ;D

Some tasty options all over the shop for me this week, Dangerfield, Gaff, Enright are guys I think will go big over the next couple of weeks.  I might do a prelim POD write up if I get the chance.  ;)

Yeah may bring in Enright if your that confident he will go big. Enright and Mitchell in out hodge and lambert. Could be a goer!

I'm thinking similar,  I was going to go Mundy and Mitchell, but don't trust that Mundy won't get rested in the next 2 weeks.  I confident in Enright for myself, not taking responsibility if it doesn't pan out, haha!  I'm thinking of passing on Mitchell if he's slightly iffy this week knowing his treatmant at Sydney.  Might move out Hunter for Gaff or Danger, then Lambert next week for Titchell.  Tough choices this week.  I would easily beat my opponents in my few leagues if I just blocked them by bringing in the players they have that I don't (Mundy and Pendles), but wheres the fun in that!  ;D

True Mitchell could come back as the sub but I suspect very highly he wont be. Horse can't afford for him not to be in the starting midfield at the moment.

Yeah in the famous words of Sir J.Brown "ya dont run on ya face". If Mitchell is deemed fit he HAS to play the full match.

I'm getting cold feet now about Enright, don't think I can go through with it... want Mundy but think he will miss this ween or next, so Picken seems like the logical choice I guess.  ???

Won't miss this week with Fyfe out.... Picken is a good choice but pricey a.f.
