Title: Official Trade List 2015 (Trade period 1): NOW OPEN
Post by: Football Factory on August 16, 2015, 11:00:13 AM
Trading Rules:

* There is a cap on trading, each team have a limit of 20 player movements over two trade periods (on trading is classed as a player movement)

* All trades must balance (ie. be 1-1 or 2-2 etc..)

* National and Rookie draft picks can be traded but are counted as a player movement.

* Trade period 1 will start at the end of the AFL home and away season (trade period 1 will finish on Sunday 22nd November 11:59pm)

* Trade period 2 will start when the positions are named by AFL Fantasy/Virtual Sports for the up and coming season (trade period 2 will finish at the discretion of admin)

* Teams are not allowed to trade players that are named on the AFL website as Retired/Delisted or the compo picks unless allowed by admin ( the reason for allowing this might be be that an AFL club has agreed to re-draft this player)

* All trades will be ruled on by LF and Atto. Trades involving one of our own teams will see the coach involved excluded from the process in order to avoid a conflict of interest.

* If 4 or more coaches appeal a trade, a trade can be reviewed and a decision may be over-turned.

* Please save all comments regarding a trade for after both parties have publicly stated their confirmation.

Remember that each team has a limit of 20 player movements over two trade periods. If you use too many in trade period 1 and do not have enough left to use in trade period 2 to fix positions after positions are announced it will be your own fault.

Trade Period is now open, please only post trades here.
If someone disputes a trade you can pm myself and Atto you can openly discuss posted trades here but all other trade talk must be done in the trade talk thread.
Please give reasons for trades where possible

Roswell Give

Shane Edwards + Hugh Goddard

El Paso Give

Toby Greene + Nat Pick 20

We need some forwards,Greene should get DPP next year,he may not keep it forever but hopefully he can hold us until our younger forwards mature or finally get some game time.
Shane Edwards is highly likely to lose DPP and be mid only next year and Goddard is just depth for us at this point

Defensive depth is our priority (current back line is a joke). Rebounding defenders are what I'm looking for and I'm willing to pay a fine price

Confirm

We need forwards due to retirements and our younger brigade still developing so this trade suits us nicely,Suckling is no longer a starter for us so we can afford to trade him off.

Bolivia Giving: Nic Naitanui + NAT 13

For

Hawaii Giving: Jamie Cripps + NAT 8

I have Mad Max Gawn wrecking everything, with also McKernan and Hickey to back him up, and I'm in dire need of a forward because Merrett is moving into mid only next year and Cripps has had a break out year and I expect him to top himself next year. Thanks Nic Nat, you're a beast but the suns in Hawaii will do you better.

Hurts my backline losing one of the best defenders in the game for consistency, scoring and future dpp eligibility but I'm a biiiig Brodie Smith fan and Stanton adds to an already loaded midfield.

Confirmed!

Accepted!! No surprise that Bolivia's defense is HORRIBLE, and my young mid stocks are awesome. Swallow requested to be traded to the Premiers, and Docherty wanted to control the defense at Bolivia, so easy trade, and Dawesy is just a pair of steak knives :P

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

Vancouver gives: Bryce Gibbs + Robbie Gray

Dallas gives: Brandon Ellis + Cale Hooker

We were looking for a star forward, and Robbie fits the bill. Cale Hooker has had a bit of interest but despite the lack of depth in the defence line, we're content with our starting 4 without him. Idealistically didn't want to let Brandon go, but we get a decent replacement in return.

PSK to confirm.

Vancouver Give: Daniel Rich + ND 17

In our hunt for defenders, we have noticed we don't have enough forwards. Rich was going to slid into the utilities or D5. Sad to see Rich go (highly rate him), being a Port supporter, the Hoff is worth it - age being the only concern.

Calgary Give: Nat 5 + Nat 6

We managed alright without Ablett pretty much all season and have added another young mid who can pretty much replace him so can afford to lose him.
Nat picks just keep the youth coming through for us

Ablett won't be VC anyway with Stef. He is just another midfielder like Greenwood and Grigg

Still flowers the comp in my eyes, the reigning premiers get one of the best scorers in the comp for a couple of draft picks.. anyway said my bit.

Remember everybody Griff wont be selecting Ablett as a captain/vice captain for the year he's just a midfielder, even if Rocky/Martin was to get injured.

Does that mean I can only acquire draft picks and not trade them? In that case I should get Higgins and Rich back. Remember it is 2 top 6 picks the best talent in Australia

We thought long and hard about trading him to RG so it wasn't like it was here's Ablett, here's some picks bang done.
In the end we decided May as well he didn't play much this year and we traded in a couple of nice mids anyway and also trying to lose some older players bit by bit so we aren't caught short when they all retire,we still have Smitch,Burgoyne,Enright and NRoo all who will be gone in the next couple of years.

Of course Ablett is only another recurring shoulder injury away from not playing much footy next season. He will be wearing a target on it. So fair risk being taken by Calgary as well.

Oh sure, he can still score. Just not sure how much help he will be when he only gets through a handful of games. Massive question marks over his body imo.

Yeah we know he is likely still a DT beast but how many games will he play?
Could play all next season, none or just another handful?
Is his body going to be right?
We did ok without him this year as well until others got injured, hopefully we fixed this now.
But the decision to trade him to anyone/RG was one we mulled on for a couple of weeks.

Im not talking about the fairness of the trade OR THE REASONING BEHIND LF TRADING HIM .. I think its a fair trade.

I don't have a crystal ball so I cant tell but with GAJ at Clagary with the fire power he already has ... almost averaged 2000 for the finals  :o then I cant really see anyone challenging him for the title/eliminator

Only Griff has ever won the the Eliminator and he won the flag this year .. and now he adds GAJ.

Any other team team yeah but Calgary ? ... severly effects the League imo .. and these are the sorts of trades that should be seriously looked at when they arise.

Not going to argue about anymore and like I say it might not happen ? but if this is how it looks in the future don't be blaming me.

Eliminator

2014: Griff
2015: Griff
2016: Griff
2017: Griff
2018: Griff

Premiers

There are deficiencies totally agree .. but when you add GAJ to that then his deficiencies decrease .. Having the best scoring players in the league as your Captain and Vice are a big part of winning. Calgary would have been the last club I would trade Ablett to if I had him.

Even with these sorts of players you can still lose that's Fantasy football for you .. but RG becomes favourite to win for a while don't you think ?

Yep for sure

Ablett was clearly put up for trade,if people wanted him they could have asked, nobody really did until RG did.
Why should we be restricted with who we want to trade out and to who?
The idea of these comps is to build a team, manage the list through drafting and trading,I am managing our list RG his.

I got picks I didn't need and I thought while I am at a high I might as well not end up like Freo and end up short

I have Brayshaw, Adams, Toumpas, De Goey, Pick 1, Dunstan and Swallow already which is my core midfield for the future. So my team won't be effected too much by losing 2 draft picks

You had a lot of set backs and injuries and the fact you couldn't name your team properly at the start of the year probably didn't help .. Titch not playing much didn't help either ay.

Um we didn't have Ablett for most of the year and still made the prelims without him,Wines and a few others. Our cores mids apart from Smitch are all still young oldest is Steven at 26 next year then Shiels all the rest however are 20-22 next season and are all already showing how good they can be without being consistent just yet.
We have added in Crisp to our mids who hopefully continues to go up in average we added Greene to our forward line who should hopefully avg nice next year.
I am not worried in the slightest because anyone can beat anyone on a good weekend Bolivia bottom of the ladder beat us this year.

Confirm. Having two top 5 picks is a great coup while we lose our best player for it. Darling will increase our forward stocks while we lose a little bit of our incredible forward depth. And Mayes increases our average defence depth at a small price to pay.

Just my two cents.

I understand FF's concerns and rightfully so, but as coaches, the only thing we should be concerned about is our own teams and not the others (maybe a little bit when trading negotiations are occurring but still). So if there is a trade or multiple trades that causes a team to be really good, then kudos to the manager of said team. The trade is fair and along with my trade while it seems that Calgary is awesome, it isn't as good as everyone is making it seem. Besides, luck is a huge part of the game - anything can happen!

My reasoning for this going through is that, sure, Griff will have a good team next season, but the year after that maybe and in 3+ years, I feel that he won't be competing for the title. Also, would the debate even be happening if Griff didn't win this year?

Yay been waiting to post this trade up

Roswell Give: Nat 6
Bolivia Give: Cyril Rioli

Feel we need just that extra down forward and hope Cyril can give us that for a few years, also looking towards end of Riewoldt's career and the possibility of him not playing all games.

Confirmed. I could of possibly went overboard with building my forward stocks. I'm not a fan of Cyril myself, but he is a great player and has big potential to score well. But I plan on using NAT 6 to pick up the best (available) midfielder in the draft .

But he did win and he kicked the crap out everyone at the end. Did you see the scores he was posting??

Rocky came back, now you got GAJ and Lewis. You don't have a premiership window now you have A GAPING SUPER MASSIVE BLACKHOLE THAT WILL SUCK EVERY BIT OF SILVERWARE AND EVERY AWARD IN FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS!!!

Got lotsa stuff happening atm. I've been on here and there and read a few things, I didn't think the trades would go through to be honest. It seemed obvious it would create a super team that would be almost unbeatable and I thought almost every coach would object. I was wrong.

I can understand why the trade was rejected, though to put it out there I am really keen on having Duggan in my team, and happy by giving up Tyson in the process.
I believe I already have a fairly solid midfield, all sitting at that same age bracket of 21-23, so just spreading the age out a bit more.
This trade is with a team that was last place and will be bringing in another 5 youngsters, so this trade also benefits Bolivia.
A pick upgrade to make the trade more "even", though if you think the trade is still unfair I'd appreciate if you can PM me first so I can explain rather then it going straight to admin to be rejected. Cheers

Confirmed. For me to give up 1 of my NATS is hard. I've had a strict plan this entire time, and now i've had to change it for this circumstance. Nat 25 IS a relevant pick in this years draft. Don't listen to all the morons who say this is a shallow draft. It's just a shallow draft compared to LAST year and 2013. Relavence for Nat options this year deplete around the 30 mark. I was about 85% sure that I guy I rated in the top 20 would be there at 25. So to go 14 spots down to Nat 39, i'm going to have to settle for a spud, or not use it and use R25. And if you guys think about it, Dom Tyson isn't even a 'proven' player. He had 1 year at 100, and then the next was 80. He lost 20PPG after a year... That doesn't make him proven at all, and I can't see him going much higher than 80 with Petracca playing next year, and Brayshaw looking to step up again. He's just a starter for me.... Not a star.

Trade between El Paso and Arizona.

El Paso give: Sam Kerridge

Arizona give: Will Langford

Im looking for a back-up forward for next year and Kerridge will hopefully keep his forward status  :o im thinking he will lose it in 2017 depending on where Carlton play him but a year is all I need at the moment. I like Willy Langford but its a good trade for both.
