Don't you just hate it when your team is so good it's hard to delist anybody :/

I doubt very many of my guys will get the chop by their AFL clubs, but I'll wait until then to make any decisions

Dealing with the same problem myself  :P

Most of my players aren't best 22 (i.e. prospects), but after the Oxley fiasco I'm afraid to delist anyone (Sam Gray was on the chopping block until 4-5 weeks ago...)

Just going to wait it out and see who retires and who the clubs delist (Aidan Riley was an obvious one)

He was a good player, I will admit that. Was good in the forward line for the Dees in 2010 and a solid utility for Richmond last year (quite successful defence in 2013 as well). But was a victim to injuries. It's sad but common in sports as some players bodies cannot withstand the rigors of the highest level of competition, or even some are unfortunate enough to have one injury that curtails their career completely.  :-\

Was counting on him to be fighting for a starting place in my forward line next season, so obviously he will be missed

There goes Paul Duffield, what a spud!

Opens up another spot on the list which is good.

Just as a reminder to you all, make sure that you'll end up on 52 players after the draft - won't be able to delist people after it (our draft as in, not the AFL), so if you're not careful you could end up wasting picks. This delist means I'm on 51 atm, so if I continue with this I'll only have the one pick in the draft (although I'm certain I'll have to cut some more)

AFL PSD and Rookie drafts are on Friday, so I'll let the first pick be taken (meaning no more trading of picks or delistings*) on Saturday, to give people enough time to see if any of their guys got picked up and make/remove delistings where appropriate.

*some leniency may be given

With this in mind, I hope these extra delistings are allowed. If not just ignore them

Kieran Harper, Kurt Aylett, Cameron Giles, Cameron Delaney, Cameron Shenton (cop that Camerons) and Simon Tunbridge - they'll be added to Chris Newman, Brent Reilly, James Podsiadly, Andrew Carrazzo, Arryn Siposs, Will Maginnes and Nathan Foley.

Total delistings =13 leaving me with a total list # of 47 by my count - therefore I'll be taking 5 picks across the two drafts.

This was posted at 1am last night before any picks were taken in either draft :P

I don't want to be a prick Ele, you're a top bloke and enjoy having you in the league but you just seem to ignore rules sometimes to basically make your own. Same thing happened in AXVIII DT, like I say don't want to be a prick to people but rules need to be followed or else other people will ask for the same leniency with other things. Im am more than happy for this to go through but I think we need to discuss the rules and follow them.

What im saying is IMO we need a list of rules and they need to be upheld by admin, we cant have * i may have some leniency here and there. On AXIII DT the rules were changed as a result of you not being able to use Nat 13 because you said you didn't have time to do your delistings but we had months to do them, you had plenty of time to send me multiple trade offers. After the AXVIII DT delistings you would think you would have thought I better do my AXVIII SC delistings but no.

These were the rules on AXVIII DT before they were changed to being able to wait on your delistings until after both the Nat and Rookie drafts.

* Team lists for AXVIII Delistings are kept here.

* Delistings must be done by Sunday 22nd November at 11:59pm AEST.

* All delistings that stay on an AFL list will go into the pool of players available in the Rookie draft.

* If you delist a player that is then later picked up by another AFL club you will have to re-draft them if you want them on your list.

* Compensation picks for delistings will be by reverse ladder order after the completion of the Rookie draft. Compo picks will be taken from the remaining pool of players.

* AXVIII DT squad sizes are 54 players, if you want to take all of your picks in the Nat and Rookie drafts you will need to delist 8 players.

* Nat and Rookie draft picks can be skipped if needed.

I based everything I did off these rules, sat there racking my brain thinking about the best options for delistings.. what a waste of time.

I followed the rules by exercising my right to take a chance on the leniency ;) at the end of the day mate, if you run the comp you've got the power. That's the trade off with putting time and effort into being admin

I wasn't talking about admin (im not admin haven't been for months) .. I was talking about the time I spent working who I was going to cut and who I was going to keep based on wether they had been delisted by their AFL club or not .. so it was my time as a coach that was wasted  ;)

I spent the sane amount if time as you, just at a different time. If you're deeming it a waste of time being a coach is probably not for you ;)

I'll allow it, seeing as you weren't around in the gap between the drafts and our drafting starting.
