Title: Trade Talk
Post by: Football Factory on August 03, 2015, 07:14:10 PM
You may discuss trades in this thread, however trade period 1 wont open until 1 month prior to the National draft.

AXVIII DT has a cap on trading, maximum of 20 player movements per team over 2 trade periods. Player movements include trading draft picks.

Trade period 1 will start 1 month prior to the Nat and rookie drafts (allows trading of draft picks)

Trade period 2 will be after AFL Fantasy/RDT (Virtual Sports) positions are announced (whoever names them first)

Bolivia is looking to be active this trade season. I am willing to give up young guns and the #1 NAT Draft pick for a premium defender and a premium forward.

Young Guns i'm willing to part ways with for a premium forward or defender;
1. Jack Redden
2. Jaeger O'Meara
3. Adam Treloar
4. David Swallow
5. Dylan Shiel
6. Dom Sheed
7. Zac Merrett

If you trade for 2 draft picks every trade you could have 40!  :o

All trades/draft picks are 1 for 1 ... so you can only get 20 draft picks (if you were crazy enough to do this)

At Dallas we have certain players we would like to get rid of but we're pretty flexible...I think. Personally want less forwards and more midfielders in general but will discuss with Memph.

Btw how many delistings are we doing?

Depending on how many players you have retire/AFL Delisted will determine how many AXVIII delistings you will need to make.

4 draft picks for Nat draft

4 draft picks for Rookie draft

We will keep a list of each teams retirements and AFL team delistings (in a separate thread). At the end of the Nat and Rookie drafts you will need to have a list of 54 players, this will be when you are required to delist if needed ? All players delisted by AXVIII teams will go into the pool of players available in the Mid Season draft.

Nothing stopping people from organising trades, they just wont become official for a while.

Maybe we will bring it forward? just don't want to be ruling on trades for months, trade period is my most hated part of admin. People get showerty when you reject trades for the good of the comp  :-X

Damnit people have a holiday for a few weeks lol. Surely you're not addicted enough that you can't not do anything for a month? I don't mind the break, gets your mind off it for a bit (unpopular opinion but hey).

Hey all.

Interesting fact #1 - I'm the new Dallas Coyotes assistant coach.

Interesting fact #2 - Here's how we view our list at the moment. Shoot Atto or myself a PM if you're interested in trading with us this off-season. Probably CCing in both would be the best plan of attack :D

No-one is off limits though those guys in the Keepers section will be very hard to acquire.

Dallas Coyotes

Atto & Memphistopheles

Going cheap: Ben Sinclair, Alipate Carlile, Matthew Spangher, Kurt Aylett, Heath Hocking, Tom Derickx, Arryn Siposs, Corey Gault

Trade bait: Jed Bews, Mark Baguley, Matt Rosa, Marc Pitonett, Tom Bellchambers, Zac Webster, Josh Saunders, Matthew Wright, Matt de Boer, Mitch Clark, Jarrad Waite, Sam Butler, Hayden Crozier, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Harry Cunningham, Sam Reid, Jason Tutt

If the Price is Right: Cameron Sutcliffe, Jack Hombsch, Cale Hooker, Josh Gibson, Connor Menadue, David Zaharakis, Ryan Bastinac, Jordan Lewis, Jack Viney, Cameron Guthrie, Hayden Crozier, Lukas Webb, Patrick McCartin, Jordan Murdoch, Stephen Hill

Keepers:  Taylor Duryea, Brandon Ellis, Josh Caddy, Tom Bell, Rhys Stanley, Lachie Weller, Tom Sheridan, Travis Boak, Toby Nankervis, Matthew Lobbe, Nick Vlastuin, Mitch Hallahan

Seeings as someone else had asked me about pick 1. Just letting everyone know I have worked out a trade for the #1 pick.

But I am still looking for a very good starting forward. Willing to trade off a young gun mid ( Redden, Zerrett, D.Swallow) for one, let me know!
Title: Re: Trade Talk
Post by: Pkbaldy on August 16, 2015, 06:21:50 PM
Seeing as Bolivia has good ruck stocks, I am chucking either Max Gawn or Nic Naitanui on the ruck table. Gawn has the 5th or 6th highest avg for a ruck in the comp, and Nic Nat isn't too far away. I'm looking for a good starting forward or defender.

Note: Pick 1 is now back on the table, the trade that was worked out had a few complications on trying to make the trade even. Let me know if you're after this!
Title: Re: Trade Talk

Ok after having a decent look at the list can ask about most players but some will take a really decent offer, picks are always tradeable.
Our main target at this point is a starting forward

Can discuss these players and others not listed,be aware tho some players are already involved in trades.
Nathan Jones
Richard Douglas
Gary Ablett Jr
Shaun Burgoyne
Nathan Brown
Areil Steinberg
Viv Michie
George Horlin-Smith
Robbie Warnock
Jack Fitzpatrick

Unlikely, would need good offers for these players
Mitch Grigg
Dylan Buckley
Ryan Harwood
Tom McDonald
Aaron Vandeberg
Sam Mitchell
Nick Riewoldt
Michael Walters

These players however are not moving anywhere
Jack Steven
Ollie Wines
Lachie Neale
Liam Shiels
Kade Kolodjashnij
Ivan Maric
Ben McEvoy

Just want to state, that if you are in search of any players (excluding defenders), Vancouver should be your first stop.

Reforming the entire list because it's just not practical or sustainable (around half are at 23 and when they finally peak... the old players will have retired).

Rebuilding the defence is our first priority and we will be willing for part with premium players to do that

anyone care to explain this to me?

how come J Merrett got traded for N17

but apparently McGlynn + D Wells are not worth N10 + N44 ?

seem weird to me

what do we need to do change N44 to R44 ?

Because Merrett is 22 not 30. Nor will he retire next year like Wells.

Anyone looking for premium ruckmen or midfielders? Or high potential kids who are likely to be moving teams in real life?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, hit me up! Keen to trade 8)

Hawaii Give: Tom Mitchell + N45 + R45
Nicaragua Give: Dane Swan + Jake Stringer + N10

Never have I ever had to think so hard about a trade. Never did I think I would trade a 22 year old 110ave jet either. But #yolo, things needed to change at Hawaii.

Kb to confirm.

Haha who knows, the combined man-love of Stringer and Swan only just outweighs that of Mitchell, so thats probably what convinced me to do the deal ;D

I have a few young fringe defenders if anyone has similar mids or forwards they want to trade, under 25yos only.

I read Michael Talia is at Sydney now but the AFL page doesn't show him as a trade. Odd.

All of these are available at the right price, I'm looking for young (u25) mids or maybe a young forward. Some I value more than others obviously.

Michael Talia, Defender, Sydney.
Sam Frost, Defender, Melbourne.
Jarmen Impey, Defender, Port Adelaide.
Alex Pearce, Defender, Fremantle.
Justin Clarke, Defender, Brisbane.
Billy Smedts, Defender, Geelong.
Dillon Viojo-Rainbow, Defender, Carlton.
Jason Ashby, Defender, Essendon.
Kaiden Brand, (D/F), Hawthorn.
Malcolm Karpany, (D/F), West Coast.
Cameron O'Shea, Defender, Port Adelaide.

I'll trade picks for young mids n fwds too. Not trading pick 2 but picks 14, 38, 41 nat draft and picks 14, 26, 38 rook draft if the guy is right. Will do player and pick combos too, again if the trade is right for the Topes.
