I have been planning on this guy for a while, I can finally do it

Hogan>Armitage

To make the move I have to bring in a DPP forward and then trade them out so it is

Dumont/Amon>Steele

I might hold there since I am not sure if I have the cash to turn KMac into someone decent in defense.

Thinking I want to get Fyfe in this week, so maybe something like this.

Dumont/Lever > Kavanagh
Tarrant > Fantasia
Rich > Fyfe

Tough week of decisions to make. Trade or not to trade. Looking at downgrades and there are a few options over next couple weeks, nearly upgraded and Cripps can hold a field spot for now:

DEF: Edwards, Colquoun, Pearce
MID: Kavanagh, Glenn, Steele, Boston
RUC: (nil for me)
FWD: Fantasia, Lambert (BOG for Rich reserves)

Targets on Lever, McKenzie, Amon, Dumont, Tarrant, Sheed

Currently have 20 players that dont have the bye this weekend. Looking at McLean and maybe Hamling, Glenn if named

Mids, fwds and Rucks are completed for the year

NVB/Salem/Hogan/Walker all on the chopping block

If you can get Picken then do it. Such and advantage getting 100+ scores out of defence.

I'm going. Hogan>Fantasia, TBC>Jacobs.  Feels so good to cull TBC I keep reversing the trade so I can do it again. 20 playing next week if a couple get up from injury but 18 should be safe(ish)

What's everyone's thoughts on Sidebottom?

Was super keen to get him after he came back from injury but a couple of lower scores the last couple of weeks has me potentially re-thinking that.

Only have 1 mid spot remaining and can't afford a straight swap of McIntosh to Steven or Armitage?

Do we think Sidebottom will still be a reliable premium or do you think I should wait until I can afford Steven or Armitage?

At least Sidey has the runs on the board. I think it's valid.

For me it's double upgrade time Hogan to Goddard completing my forwards and sadly saying goodbye to Gus for Heppell.

Team will look like this after the byes -

D: Hodge, Hibberd, Newnes, Smith, Lumumba, A.Pearce (Hamling, McKenzie)
M: Lewis, Steven, Fyfe, Pendlebury, Heppell, Beams, Ebert, J.Selwood (Kavanagh, Stretch, Amon)
R: Goldstein, Naitanui (Cox)
F: Swan, Martin, Goddard, Gray, Franklin, T.Mitchell (Krakouer, Dale)

Lucky I only saw this now.

I had one of Sidebottom/Hanners pegged as my last mid upgrade. With Cripps performing I wasn't going to pull the trigger. I have always considered Sidebottom a SC player but with his hot start (actually had both him and Hanners in my starting midfield in SC) I thought he seemed legit. Earlier I probably would have told you to do it, but I think waiting it out might be the go. However McIntosh will keep dropping in price.

If I was you I would grab Heppell, if you don't want Hepp can you afford Brandon Ellis as a potential POD?

Haha just came here to post that I'm glad I held off on him ;) He certainly has hit a bit of a slump.

Will probably make a mini downgrade now and bring in Lambert so I can afford McIntosh to any mid. I do like Ellis as a POD although Armitage is only owned by less than 2% himself.

Edit: actually 7%. Not sure where I got less than 2% from. Maybe that was AF.

I brought in Armo this week.

So far I have made two trades, looking at one more and I am stuck. I also brought in Lambert instead of Steele.

Hogan>Lambert
Dumont>Armo

I want to upgrade McIntosh, I can afford any defender under 500k so no Picken

I have Hodge, Shaw, Simmo, Ibbo, Taylor as my premiums.

Any thoughts? I was leaning towards Boris with 21 playing this week

Enright is a solid option. Always a danger of missing a game later in the year but think he's the best option average wise.

Always a wise choice to not listen to me.
Title: Re: RDT Round 13 Trades

The Cats aren't in the same position to be resting players as years gone by. I think if this is Enright's last year he might just play it out. The trade will leave me with 11k and he is a bit of a POD (6.1%)

Docherty and Everitt are a couple of others I am looking at as POD's but Boris stands out. Then I will downgrade Amon to Steele next week. That gives me a bit of cash with 5 trades and only Cripps to upgrade.

Lever to Pearce was a great trade.. :-\ at least he slides to the bench next week

im struggling with my mckintosh trade

do i just get picken its a no brainer but means i cough up 540k and leaves me with only 60k in bank - and down to 7 trades!

its overs for picken imo - will he sustain it over the rest of the season or will he drop in price and scoring.

or do i get someone cheaper who is still going well
simpson - has track record
laird - an up and coming player getting consistent scores of late

or anyone else

please help!!

I am in the same boat but can't afford Picken. If you don't have Simmo I would grab him, Houli is relatively cheap for his average as well.

Hibberd I reckon mate, has gone 102, 87, 83, 100 in his last 4, very consistent I.'ve had him from the start

Not sold on Hibbo. I made the decision to avoid him in SC at the start of the year and I think it carries into this compe.

Looking at his scoring there are also a few sub 70 and a couple sub 60 in there. He has had a good month but he was dirt before that. If I was going down that path I would rather Gibbo/Docherty/Everitt/Houli.

ive got hibbo already - newnes and hodgey and shaw...

picken makes my defence really strong but simpson leaves me with over 100k in the bank

and no one thinks laird is worth a punt - too risky?
Title: Re: RDT Round 13 Trades

I think Simmo has the history that Laird doesn't. Picken has been brilliant this year, I think if you assume he keeps his form I would rank them like this

Picken>Simmo>Laird. I think if you would rather bank the 100k to use in the future go with Simmo, if not grab Picken and lock him in

Ended up going Amon to Lambert and McIntosh to Armitage.

Thought long and hard about making Armitage captain but decided to take Swan's 110 as Henry is right I'd be really annoyed if Armitage put in a stinker :P

I ended up grabbing Enright. Gibbo making me regret not picking him up. Birch also killing it and he was another I had on my list but I figured he might be vest potential coming back from injury

Went Lever to A Pearce and Tarrant to Lambert.  Seems the only benefit is that I have cash waiting for Rocky
