Title: Round 6 trades
Post by: Rusty00 on May 04, 2015, 09:28:14 PM
What's everyone looking at doing this week?

I'm probably going to go early on Glenn this week which will give me $350,000 in the bank. I feel like I should make an upgrade to make up for Lewis being on the bench. Problem is the only rookie I feel is ready to be upgraded is McIntosh and I feel like it's almost a waste bringing in a premo defender given Oxley and Saad are scoring as well as most of them.

Mid and forward rookies are Cripps, CEY, Vandenberg, Brayshaw, Miller, Lonie, Clark, Hogan, Krakouer who all have more money to make.

Maybe I should hold a week and then upgrade in the mids next week?

I need to look at break evens for certain guys like Salem and Rich but I am thinking those two to Gray and Beams

not planning on any

thinking about culling Salem (BE 40ish) but can't get inspired with the likes of Cutler/McIness

going to try to get away with no trades this week.

Hodge and Lewis on bench at moment, with Lewis only 2 weeks that won't chnage, see what happens to Hodge but based on form he is the top dog defender to have and trading out then back in sems wastful in RDT.

I'll field Oxley for Hodge, and Sheed will come on for Lewis in mids.

Now I have to add Bennell to my bench  :-[

Probably a mid upgrade, though not sure who to at this stage.  I can straight swap Newton to anyone up to 586k, so that gives me a few options, or I could straight swap Rich to anyone, though it's really only an extra two players I can possibly bring in (Heppell or Armitage).

Well I was willing to leave Lewis on the bench for 2 weeks and even leave Sloane on the bench this week with him if he misses.

Now Beams is in doubt as well.

The mid rookies are scoring well but I think 3 premo mids on the bench will slaughter me this week so may have to sideways Sloane or Beams :-\

Either that or delete team :P

Yeah have Beams Lewis and Benell too  :(. Hopefully Beams plays, will bench Lewis and Bennell. Have gone Newton to glenn and Salem to Bont.

I am still undecided. I posted this in my team thread

So with teams out I have been having a think about what to do. I still need to check BE's on a few players and with doubt on Beams I am not bothering with him.

I have currently gone NVB out for Gray and moved him forward. I am trying to decide between Rich or Salem out and if I bring in a forward or a mid. Mid options are Mundy, Armitage and Ebert. I am not 100% sold on Ebert. Forwards I have Dahl or BJ. If Mitchell manages to avoid the vest this week, I might look at him next week as I still have the cash to bring him in. Any thoughts?

Already have Lewis on the bench so trading CEY. I think I might wait another week or two to decide on premium mids so might bring a forward/mid in this week.

Deciding between Mitchell and Gray. Gray will definitely be a Top 6 forward and helps my bye structure, however might drop a bit of cash I reckon. Mitchell is $80k cheaper and has kept his spot in the Swans team with them now at full strength which is a good sign that he may get a decent run in the team.

Any thoughts? Is Mitchell too much of a risk? Could get me a jump on everyone else if he goes big again but could be a massive fail if he gets dropped in 2-3 weeks time or even worse, gets a green vest.

Personally I'd stick with Gray, draw opens up over the next month and as you said is a sure thing...

With CEY out I am currently considering TAdams, scored 83, 88, 127 and 94 playing in the mids but Sidey and Greenwood are yet to return, did have 30 touches with Sidey in r.1 though and went at 88 over the back half of last year...allows me to Hold Griff for another couple weeks until Rocky bottoms out anyway... thoughts anyone?

I had no idea Gray's BE was so high. I think he is still worth getting in now because if he is a keeper he is a keeper. Plus he could potentially hit the BE anyway

In regards to Adams, in DT/AF yes, he will still rack up the pill but he butchers the ball. Lucky DE% doesn't matter in this comp. However it depends on who the other available options are

Yeah that's true...only other option is Mitchell if I go down this route (I'll likely back out and stick to my original plan anyway)

Mitchell I will only consider next week. With the ins for the Swans this week I want to see how they function and what he scores. Plus his job security isn't great so it could be a waste of a trade

CEY to Glenn
Salem to Zorko

I know it means flower all, but named on the ball. Hopefully another solid performance will cement his spot

After doing a bit forecasting for the next few weeks I have decided on Salem to Glenn, CEY to Pendlebury.

I went with Dahl considering Armitage has the same bye as Pendles, Heppell and Steven. This is looking like the wrong decision at the moment. Armitage has had the ball on a string

Armo 145
Dahl 64

Ouch

To make matters worse, Salem at half time 64, Dahl 64

Farking hell my trades have been poor this year in both comps. Expect Gray to do nothing tomorrow if the trend continues

I was close to bringing in Dahl myelf, but ended up going with Ebert.  Also brought in Birchall for Kelly, so I'm happy with how that turned out.
