Post by: Ricochet on April 15, 2015, 01:54:47 PM
Atm I'm just looking at Goodes to Oxley but also have Cripps and Lamb, so not sure whether to make a 2nd rookie fix up or not

What trades are you looking at?

Goodes to Oxley and Cockatoo to NVB. Ablett goes next week, don't want too miss out on cash cows.

Ablett to Lewis and Sheed to NVB

that trade is doing my head in. NVB has cash grab now but Sheeds early low scores making him less productive.  Was hoping he'd score more with Selwood out last week.

Can you trade anyone else to NVB?

I have often wondered if chasing cash cows and good BE's early at expense of score would pay off over the year. If I do this I could throw this high risk maneuver:

Ablett to Bont and Beams to NVB.

Just leaves me very thin on Captain optoins. Parker, Wines, Hodge, Gray

If only points are awarded on kamikaze trades.

flower it, can't crack 1900 so far...... KAMIKAZE IS GO!!!!!!!!  ...... until I freak out out 6pm Friday

I actually did that a couple of years ago
ended up with the likes of Charlie Dixon and Harry Taylor in my def line
Dixon then got injured (for 4 weeks) and Taylor became consistent 85s

you basically run out of trades and end up with weird things (I had SJ fwd as captain that year, cause I BE traded Gaj)
and also end up a player short, so your M8 becomes a Miles-type (but I was burning through trades like no tomorrow)

Yeah...  the cash cow chase means you are relying what has just happened recently will continue. The premium chase is more based on consistency. If that makes any sense

I'm looking at Gaz To Bontempelli and Leuey to Goldstein. Can't take any more of Leueys crap. I have Zac Smith who is also just as bad.

After a good night sleep my kamikaze views have subsided and now likely to only trade ablett to lewis. Whilst not happy with Sheed neither Sheed or NVB are keepers so may sit on Sheed for now and bank that second trade....... (breathes easier....)

I looked at Sheed to NVB but just can't really see the value in it so decided to hold Sheed. He'll be pretty decent over the journey and the differential in value/points isn't worth a trade in my view. No premierships handed out in April!

Going vanilla with GAZ-Barlow or taking a punt on D.Shiel and stockpiling is a question. I could also go Cripps-Wallis but that again could be trade wasting as already burnt two..

anyone worried about Leuy getting dropped? he looked awful last week. How good is his job security?

looks like I'm going to the bank for that second trade for Naismith to Phillips.  Leuy  will be back and can sit on bench

Phillips will be a very ordinary scorer... <50ppg so I'd be looking elsewhere for sure...Ablett to Wallis or even NVB and Luey to Jacobs/Goldy

I expect Luey will only sit out 1 round

Perhaps but will he score when he comes back? If he was picked as keeper he's not that...and if picked for $$$ generation you may need to be patient while the crowd goes past you...

but will he return, Lions didn't exactly drop like-for-like, so it's only Smartin in the ruck now
and would West have passed him? is a much-more capable forward

personally a couple of fix-it trades
BE chasing with Goodes->Bruce, and then Lamb->Hogan
