Should be an alright match, hopefully we get a look at the Pies possible 22 for round 1 to give us a better idea of who might make the cut and who slots in where.
Clokey you unappreciated gun

Yeah same. Saw some teams with him on bench.
Only 2 rookies in my pre nab team that aren't named this weekend. So hopefully that is a good sign :)

Easton Wood? Nah, I'd rather ask Player VII instead.
WESTERN BULLDOGS
Out: Tom Campbell, Koby Stevens, Sam Darley
Substitutes: Joel Hamling, Caleb Daniel
COLLINGWOOD
Out: Ben Kennedy, Tim Broomhead, Patrick Karnezis
Substitutes: Jack Crisp, Corey Gault
I think Tarrant now has his nose in front of Karny for a spot in my forward line.
Hamling and Daniel as subs in a 24 man squad is not a good sign
AYCE!
Looks like I'll have to finally give up on Maynard. :'(
Would like a few guys to have big ones and put my mind to rest.
Cloke, a gun, has 100% of Pies goals so far. Get around him. 8)
Nasty clash. :(
That was Jordan Lewis-esque.
Jarrod Grant you piece of shower... Injured JJ...
Wowee
Honey is a round 1 lock. His pressure is amazing.
What do Collingwood supporters think of Ramsay's prospects this year?

Got him in my BXV team. So i'm going to say he's an absolute gun!
If I can somehow rejigger my side to fit in bontempelli into my forward line at f4 it will be happening
Man crush
Flowering Bonts. 8) Don't peak too soon son.
I hate Bonts... But my god he is a magnet. Big step up for a 2nd year player.
Goodes looking like he wants back into the senior team.
And my point about bontempelli was just reiterated
How silky was that gather in the middle when he bounced the ball into his grasp
....
Side not ... Brett goodes doing himself some favours
Bonti is such a gun. Didn't think I would be, but seriously considering

Gets elevated? And plays?
Bulldogs are doing well against those orange cones.
Pies just resting up before the real season ???
Umpires are flowering shower
There is no way in this earth pies will make the 8 this year ... Eddie coming out and saying they are a flag chance is just utter stupidity
Oxley has found a bit of the ball. Chance for round one? Could be a rookie option down back.
3 possessions to Bont in that quarter once the hard tag went to him. Settle down folks.
Get the midget on asap.

This. No one else worth tagging at the doggies this season, he will cop it every week.

Macrae will average 40 touches if he never gets tagged. They'll share it.
When was the last time two games were played on the same ground in 1 day?
was that Levi?
hope he's alright. haha Caleb looks tiny out there
Wow, the Dogs are killing them. :o 8)
Not watching, what's the story? Dogs playing well, Pies playing crap?
JJ and Levi both injured, Jarrad Grant involved in both.
Cloke a 100 goal season, watch out :)
How's Wallis looked?
Seemed to find a bit of the ball. If he's not used as a tagger I think he could be a good pick.

I really don't like Collingwood but gee its difficult not to have a man crush on Pendles, he would have to be my favourite player to watch

Yeah he is about the only Pies player I can stand. The dude is a freak. Then again you don't go with your heart in fantasy
King just said Hamling is nearly a lock for a position in the Dogs defense. You better not be full of shower David!
50 point 3rd qtr by Pendles

Cloke should channel a bit of Ben Dixon and become a decoy forward, the pies forward line clearly isn't working.
Dahlhaus my man 8)
Go wee man!
Does Daniel need the helmet because he is still in under 10's?
I also wouldn't mind seeing Minno's hitout to advantage numbers tonight. I was considering him if I didn't go with a mid price ruck since it was an area he was elite in 2 seasons ago

pretty much haha
has the potential to be a mad cult hero
Taylor Adams 31 touches, 9 clangers. I was looking at his contested numbers and thought he might push the ton in SC then saw the clangers.
Bont has 29 touches, 9 tackles and 3 goals
That's insane
Collingwood 382 touches for 8 goals.
Don't know what to take out of that , picked the doggies to really struggle along with the Saints this year where does that leave the Pies , beaten by 10 goals could be a long year for them :-\
Brown and Hamling should end up with a good DT-SC ratio, plenty of 1%ers which are usually SC gold!

Carlton
Dogs
Daylight
Demons
Saints

Didn't the Hawks lose every NAB game one of the past two seasons when they won the premiership? I wouldn't take a hell of a lot out of it, I am looking at rookies and where guys seem to be playing.

Full time #NABChallenge Bont 132, Minson 123, Goodes 122, Pendles 120, Macrae 111, Dahlhaus 108, Sidebottom 106 and Swan 88. #SuperCoach
Sidebottom only 106 is surprising. It is not often you get 30 touches at 70% with only one clanger and 7 tackles to score that low. I know a lot were uncontested but it is still a surprise. 123 for 50 hitouts from Minno is also interesting.

Sidebottom was handball happy. 70% isn't anything special either, it's about average.

I've pretty much worked out the entire scoring system and an easy way to get an estimate of a players score is as follows. I won't go into weighting (it's not as extreme as some people believe) and stuff like the difference in long kicks to advantage, score assists, effective knock ons, spoils gaining possession and all the other stuff but a simple example is:
Sidebottom's stats:
13 kicks/17 handballs @70% DE, 9 contested. 7 tackles. 1 clanger
Uncontested = 21 points
Contested = 27 points
Kicks: 13 x 0.7 = 9.1 kicks: call it 9. = 27 points
Handballs: 17 x 0.7 = 11.9: call it 12. = 12 points
7 tackles = 21 points
1 clanger = -3
Total: 105 points
Bontempelli
18 kicks/11 handballs @62%. 10 contested. 9 tackles. 2 clangers. 3.2 score
Contested: 30 points
Uncontested: 19 points
Kicks: 18 x0.62 = 11.16 = 33 points
HB: 6.82 = 7 points
Tackles: 27 points
Clangers: -6
Score: 7x3, 1x2 = 23 points
Total: 133
It's not going to be spot on because a player might have 70% DE but all their effective disposals were handballs but it's a decent guide.
Defenders are the ones who'll outscore the above example by the most, since they are usually the ones who do more 1%ers and they can also pick up 3's for uncontested and 6's for contested (marks from oppo kicks). They even bounce (+1) more. There's heaps of little fluctuations such as +6 instead of +3 for an effective kick that's also a score assist, or +1 instead of +3 for an effective backwards kick but for a rough idea it's not too bad.
The state of the game weighting isn't as extreme as some people believe, but the 3300 rule is. Take a look at the Sydney vs Freo game. JPK and Lachie Neale each scored about 105 under normal scoring conditions but 155 with the weighting applied, since there would have been only 2200 'real' points scored. Pretty much all players got their score multiplied by 1.5 to get up to the 3300 mark.
