Brewers deliver against Magpie Might

Very happy it wasn't just Gawn & Fyfe that got me the win this week :D but also well aware that I would have likely lost if Kelly & Lynch were playing. A great game all the same.

Delicious Delhi too good for Islanders

Kudos for Pacific not giving up after the inept performances from Moltop (23) and Ah Chee (8) - a great sign come September - but where two players combined for 31 for the Islanders, New Delhi had two players combine for 354. Darling & Lloyd, take a bow.

Saints dismiss Destroyers

That is a mighty good effort from Christchurch! Even if Dublin had it's best players available, you couldn't confidently say they could beat the Saints this week, with 7 centurions carrying just two sub 60 scores. For Dublin, it was actually a really good performance from its 15 available players.

Christchurch Saints (25.6.156) def Dublin Destroyers (22.10.142)

Wolves feast on Plucky Reindeers

A much improved performance from PNL - one that would have defeated 7 other teams this week - but Toronto are playing with bigger ambitions in mind.

Revolution find release from Cobras Grip

It was close for a while there! The teams' top 12 players were quite good, but New York's bottom 3 proved the difference. Promising signs from both teams, really.

Thunder escape from charging Sandstorm

That was a bit close Beijing! Two late emergencies in Butler and Cox combined for just 64, leaving the door ajar for Cairo on Sunday. But, an unfortunate OOP ruck decision from Cairo, and the brilliance of Zork proved the difference at got Beijing the win. Cairo's OOP ruck rests its ugly head once again.

Jags bolt away from Spetsnaz

I uh, don't know how this could have happened when I saw Rio's 3 emergencies all come in to combine for just 108 points. But, on closer inspection, it was Captain Cripps that got the Jags home with ample assistance from Hall, Yeo and Brayshaw to avoid what was looking like a loss to Moscow, whom just can't buy a win at the moment.

Moscow Spetsnaz (20.10.130) lost to Rio de Janeiro Jaguars (22.6.138)

I'll take a win very ugly though it may be. Thought I had lost it when Burgoyne flopped as Captains choice.

Samurai survive Armadillo scare

Ah! That wasn't supposed to happen Tokyo! Captain Cotchin (84) only JUST did enough to get the Samurai over the line by 7 SC points, in an encounter they'd soon like to forget. For Buenos Aires, this was a golden opportunity missed to post what would have been an expectation defying 4th win of the season.

Oh wow, Tokyo left all of its good players in the 2s by the looks of it.
