since the AFL announced 2 lots of multi bye round's the first one round 8/9/10 and the second one 18/19.

Option A: The last 4 weeks are always finals So round 24, 23, 22 and 21 are finals which means we have are last head to head match in round 20. Since there will only be 5 and 4 games in round 18 and 19 I assume we might have a bye round for both of them which means the comp starts in round 2 and playing 1 game every week until 18 and 19 where we have the break and then round 20 we play the last game

Option B: Start Round 1 which means no time to test players out but this means later in the season we finish head to head and have a 2 week break and come into finals which I personally like and this also can means we can field Fremantle players for the Grand Final cause it's not the last week of the real AFL season

I agree, although strategy is good for the game. The effects of resting can't be helped through strategy. It is just luck.

Someone who has had the best year and played it smart the whole way could get unlucky and lose it all thanks to resting of players.
