Title: Round 3 VC and C
Post by: Sabretooth Tigers on March 30, 2021, 01:09:23 PM
 :)

I'm seriously thinking of going the untried and true.
G + G
Gulden VC into Gawn. The way Gulden is going he deserves the chance, and Tiges don't tag

;)

Rather Grundy VC as it doesn't look like Lions will have a decent ruck.

Surely those with Lloyd give him the VC. If Impey can score 123 vs the Tigers, then Lloyd will kill that you would think.

Gotta go big this week mate.
I’m keeping his 721k ass and going to use it. :-*
If I had Grundy I’d use him against Brisbane no rucks

I'm not sure I'll even have the option to VC

Sharp seems like the only rookie I have that might be dropped, but Bris plays first game so can't even use him

Scott the only other, but he plays the 2nd game lol, so it's either Grundy VC or just straight up C most likely and I'll probably just stick with Maxy
Title: Re: Round 3 VC and C

Grundy VC and hope Scott gets dropped, if not then move the VC to Macarae or Dunkley in the hope someone else misses in the later games.

If no one gets dropped its a tough call. I'm thinking of just going straight Grundy Captain. Against Fullarton/Ballenden. Surely he can't go under 110, and could go 150+

Good for those with loophole or who just put the C on him well done.

For me it's suck it up and take bont or dunkley as captain or put C on gawn and hope Bruhn is dropped for Sunday game to loophole grundy with him...

what to do what to do, dogs mids should go to town also but I doubt anyones matching grundys 162 :(

Is there a chance of Bruhn getting dropped? Will only know by Saturday afternoon.
Hopefully Dunkley can go 150 tomorrow but highly unlikely with Macrae and Bont sharing the points too.

I know it's not the be all and end all, but looking over Macrae, Bont, Dunkley and Olivers last 3 scores vs Norf and GWS respectively, they're not that great..

Macrae: 90, 105, DNP
Bont: 55, 118, 87
Dunkley: DNP, 130, 71
Oliver: 87, 53, 107

I have the VC on Grundy but it's looking unlikely that I'll be able to bank, so I might just stick with the usual GG VC/C setup

Maxy has some monster scores vs GWS, so hopefully he can score well vs Flynn

Lloyd will be at his seagull best against a Tigers outfit that let opposition backs rack up the pill. Could also be a POD captain choice for those who like a good POD.

Defenders against Tigers so far this year:

Pre season:
Crisp 29 disp and 130 points
Maynard 24 disp and 107 points (since then has been a spud)
Quaynor 23 disp

Round 1:
Saad 114 points (then only scored 66 points the next round)

Round 2:
Impey 22 disp and 123 points
Jiath 25 disp and 119 points
Hardwick 31 disp

If Impey and Jiath can score around the 120 mark against the Tigers, imagine what Lloyd will be able to do.

Highmore out means I bank Grundy which is sweet

Kosi as cover who I expect should hold his spot - Wingard will come in for Day and they'll reshuffle things

Even if Kosi gets dropped I'll just cop the donut - chance are he wouldn't score much anyway and getting Grundy VC now makes up for it

Next week though, will need to get crafty and figure out what to do with D6 moving forward

Well said RD and sums the situation perfectly.  Yep what to do with D6 is the issue with Highmore, Kossi and Sharp (who I was using because of DPP and possible loophole)
Like you will cop the juicy donut if Kosi out but points gained as you say will compensate and not worth a sideways rookie trade at this stage,

Lack of decent Defense rookies telling now.   may have to look at Hayden Young who will get games.

Will need to move Laird from midfield to back line via DPP next round. Relieved I have a complete back line once I do this with May at D6.
