On the topic of my Friday night game for the title, currently on a Windy/Slow

which two bowlers should I pick out of:
http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1217721
http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1128498
http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1133111
http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1197304

Keep in mind Fastmann and Withrange will still bat if not selected. The other 3 guys I have bowling at the moment are and RFS, RFS and LWS.

If I choose both Withrange and Fastmann it means I can add an outs/outs batsman to the lineup and probably set a more aggressive batting lineup and try bat first?

Holy shower. I didn't know a FF member owned Fastmann haha. I renamed my Fastie 17 yr old youngster after him :P Montee Fastmann :P haha

And to much of my happiness and disappointment. Ghiyath Nu'man scored 985 runs for the season as a 17 year old... 15 runs shy of 1000 :(

WhatMate

Yep he's an absolute freak!! Quite the purchase all those seasons ago!  ;D

Fastmann and Hankey would be my picks. Seeing as you have 3 spinners picking a medium without power isn't really beneficial. Also wouldn't roll with 2 rfms and Fastmann has to be selected, so that leaves Hankey.

Is that just bias seeing as Hankey was a product of your youth academy?  :P

you did you douche

oh well still 13-1 and promoting back to div 2 ;)

Pkbaldy

Haha unlucky.

I got pipped by Nige, the asshole. I rated like 35k higher and he somehow beat me... So now i don't get a One Day promotion :(

But on a good note, my UAE Youth Farm goes up a division. Played only my U18s in the One Dayer against a bot, and rated 97k. So not too bad. Start of the season I should rate fairly well.

And, does anyone think i'd get away with naming someone "Ufa Kinhore"?

When training youths how far should I take fielding? I try to go to capable/reliable, is that too much and should I focus on getting another level of batting/bowling/tech? Superior academy ftr.

My plan is:
average at 16
reasonable at 17
capable at 18
reliable at 19 only if I plan to hold them through to seniors.

reasonable is generally the minimum people will set when they are buying 20yos, once you pass reliable you are really going too far. My academy is one above yours but I've had superior for a long time before that. Capable would be my suggestion.

Depends if you plan on keeping them for seniors or not
I have a lavish academy and the first thing I do with any new youth is train fielding. Straight to reasonable.
If I'm not keeping them they stay at reasonable fielding, if I am keeping them then they will have capable or reliable fielding, depending on primaries.
Acc/acc primaries with capable fielding
Expert/expert with reliable fielding or very close to

Hellopplz

Same as PB and Cookie. Reasonable is a good base. Anything higher is saved for those you plan to keep to Seniors. Most of my guys usually only reach a max of Reliable Fielding (unless they are that beastly) before Seniors.

Most others who don't reach it follow a similar pattern to PB's plan, Reasonable when they're 17 and then train primaries if not going to be kept (just youth players).

valkorum

All fielding training should be done at 16 as it trains the fastest then.

If you want the player for your senior squad, then train to whatever your min is (at least reliable IMO), if you are just training for youth/youth nat, then just train to reasonable/capable (whatever the country min is set to).
