WXVW Round 2 - Team Submissions
Round 2 - February 10th-12th
Algerian Antelopes V Lima Llamas
Rome Goddesses V Bogota Margays
Jakarta Dragons V Karachi Rhinos
Port Moresby Cassowaries V Barcelona Lynx
Critical Week Alert! In case you didn't realise, this season is only 6 weeks long! That means teams that are start 0-2 have very little chance of making the Grand Final aka top 2 positions.
Algeria started the year off with the top score of the week against a very solid Lima outfit. Both teams won last week meaning one will stay undefeated! Algeria as scary as heck. They had two scores of 3 on the field and still top scored. Lima have the most rounded team though and I think it's going to come down to Daisy Pearce the WXVW's Best Player VS Kara Donellan who is at least a top 5 scorer. Donnellan had 70 in a losing effort for Fremantle and I'd expect more if/when they win. Match of the Week right here!
Rome suffered the slightest of loses last week and have a chance this week to take out Bogota and their superstar Katie Brennan. Both teams scores over 700 last week and we'll be in for some fireworks if they do so again! Rome's mid are going to cause nightmares for oppositions and I hear Coach Levi has contacted WXV Number 1 Tagger Ben Jacobs to come down to the club and lecture the Margay's on how to tag these Rome mids out of the game.
Jakarta are versing top placed Kirachi in a critical match. Jakarta had a few too many low scores last week and I think they'll rid themselves of that in an effort to challenge a Kirachi team which hopefully can get their captain on field. Kirachi had some great scores last week and if they can replicate that every week, they'll be tough to stop.
PMC! As they will now be called struggled a little bit in week 1, however captain Chelsea Randall had an epic 82 last week and now that Coach Boomz has a feel for the team, they'll be able to push Barcelona. Barca have very little direction as of now, with many wondering what the future of the team is. The team has stars on every line yet just lack direction.
As established last week there is NO rolling lockout. Teams to be submitted as normal.

Week 2 Conclusions (so far):
Karachi's forwardline may be the best in the comp. Nige, your thoughts?
Moana Hope is tarnishing an excellent Rome team. Torp, your thoughts? Will she be dropped?
Inconsistency yet again plagues Port Moresby. 3 scores already under 20. Boomz, your thoughts?
Algeria's midfield once again carrying the team. Koop, your thoughts?
Lima probably need a big score from Donnellan with otherwise quite below-par scores. Zip, your thoughts?
Jakarta is on fire! Only 1 score under 39 thus far. Even their emgs are going well! FTC, your thoughts?
Bogota once again need a big Sunday. Levi, your thoughts? <- Would've liked more from Katie.
Barcelona probably have the best team. Too bad no one is there to have that greatness. Vacant, your thoughts?
Best forward line and we haven't even had Emma Swanson play yet! ;)
Really pleased to have avoided the low scores on field so far, keeps the HGA valuable!
Should be a tight finish between Karachi and Jakarta, looking forward to it.
She won't be dropped, but only because I picked her at 2.
Very disappointed right now. She had the same stats two minutes into the game as she did at the end.

That is probably the most depressing stat I've heard in my life ahahah

How do you think it felt watching! I thought she had turned a new leaf, but it looks otherwise.
Atleast she scored more than last week!

Yeah, not overly happy with the girls at the moment, some subpar stats coming through. Looking at some of their scores I think that they forgot that they were playing for Lima and thought they were playing for Essendons mens side.

Algeria with a very strong performance. Their top stars all fired. They'd like their role players to lift a bit more though. Lima only had 1 score above 55 and will find it very tough to win games if that happens. I wouldn't expect that to happen too much more though.
Tayla Harris take a bow! Bogota won this game by 17 points. HOWEVER, they were down with 3 minutes left in the final game on Sunday. Tayla Harris in 3 minutes went on the take 3 marks, 3 kicks, 1 goal, 1 behind, 1 Free for. = 25 points in the last 3 minutes to get Bogota over the line. Rome will be kicking themselves. Had Kim Mickie got 7 more points they would have won due to HGA.
Jakarta BOOM! Top score of the season so far and not much Karachi could do. Karachi had a good week and are just unfortunate to come up against Jakarta. Really I think The Dragons can go bigger. Their top score was 68 and only got 51 from their captain. You'd think they could push 800 on a good week.
I think Port Moresby are suffering from the autopicks they had in the draft. That already leaves little room for error. Then the injuries come and 4 scores under 20, most due to injury isn't going to help. Barcalona have stars. They have guns on every line.
Something to keep an eye on is how many teams got their captain right. This week it was 2 out of 8. Last week it was 3 out of 8.

Winning without a coach.
I'm really mad.
730, and it could have been bigger! Stoked with that. Keep your eyes peeled for a ladder and World Idol update soon.
I'm a bit late on this and actually haven't checked if it's reflected in the scores but you have T. Randall listed as my Captain when it should be Chelsea.
