Title: i5s Week 12 - Special Bye Round Edition (Again)
Post by: ossie85 on June 14, 2015, 02:40:35 PM
Hey all - this is a bit strange, this round will be running half in conjunction with Round 11. Same as last week, unlimited emergencies. Only 6 AFL teams from Round 12 count, plus all 12 teams from AFL Round 13.

THIS ROUND IS OVER HALF OF ROUND 12 (West Coast, Port Adelaide, GWS, Kangaroos, Geelong and Melbourne) and ROUND 13

You can have UNLIMITED EMERGENCIES

Lodgement Format

Please post your 5 players for the week in the following format:

Team Name
Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4, Player 5
Emg

Lodgement rules
1. There are no captains, no vice captains and no subs.
2. One emergency will be allowed - EXCEPT FOR THIS ROUND and NEXT - unlimited.
3. Modifications on teams may be done by editing your original post. If you make a new one, your original post will be deleted.
4. It is the coach's responsibility to make sure their team is correctly named.
5. A failure to submit one's team will result in the first 5 players drafted being lodged as the team for the week with the 6th drafted as emergency.

General information
1. Please only use this thread for team submissions, use the banter thread for everything else.
2. Fixtures can be located in the stickied fixtures thread.
3. Any questions can be posted in the general discussion thread.

Thanks and good luck!

Just quoting last weeks post

Venezuelan Vipers

Callan Ward
Ivan Maric
Anthony Miles
Shaun Grigg
Allen Christensen

Emg: Ty Vickery, Jed Adcock, Rhys Palmer, Mitch Golby, Tomas Bugg, Connor Menadue

1 or 2 injured players in the emg but they might come back

Also, is there any reason why it is like this? It's pretty confusing

Why isn't there just one round that spreads over the 3 bye rounds? Eg/ I5's Rd11 (AFL Rds11,12,13) Would be easier

Its fine once you get your head around it man, its the same as worlds

Yeah, it isn't ideal, but can't think of a better way.

Trying to fit in a 48 team competition into 22 AFL games, where you can only play 1 match a week, is tough!

Kolodjahnij
Oxley
Swan
Viney

Bennell, Watts, Broomhead, Kennedy

Hard call on bennell... he could carve the blues, but he''ll be coming off injury and I'd rather not risk the green/red. The only one he could push out is viney....

even though all my guys play next week I have to settle on a team before the bounce this week aye?

After Friday Night... and I've probably made a thousand mistakes

AAA
Western Australia 3/316 v California 4/323
WA looking the goods in this one, with California really needing a big game from JOSH GREEN!

QLD/NT 2/161 v Chile 3/292
Chile with the slight edge so far, too early to tell though

Victoria 0 v Peru 3/259
Peru slow out the gate, Victoria have been in worse positions....

Cote d'Ivoire 5/341 v Venezuela 4/402
Venezuela with a flogging, and still with a player in hand. Catch them if you can.

Egypt    5/382 v Mexico 3/245
Mexico should still get the points from here... but a nervous chase.

South Africa 0 v Argentina 0
All players for this match are playing right now in the Hawthorn v Essendon match!

EurAsia
Denmark 4/328 v Thailand 4/355
It is Denmark's Fisher versus Thailand's Cheney + 27 points...

United Kingdom 0 v Japan 4/366
Japan with the points on the board, UK have been very impressive all year though

Ireland 3/296 v India 3/276
Mammoth game for both teams!

Russia 0 v Sri Lanka 0
*yawn*

France 3/264 v Israel 0
Inauspicious start from France

Germany 4/384 v Pakistan 3/325
Pakistan with the slight edge

After Saturday... only Blues/Suns to go, most matches finished

AAA
Western Australia 3/316 v California 5/391
WA looking the goods in this one, only a disaster will stop them

QLD/NT 5/386 v Chile 5/496
Just about season over for QLD/NT, while Chile stay in touch

Victoria 5/448 v Peru 5/442
Victoria win a thriller!! Will have huge consequences for the final 5

Cote d'Ivoire 5/341 v Venezuela 5/496
Premiership favourites show why they are just that, never in doubt.

Egypt    5/382 v Mexico 5/491
Mexico are the true underdog story... qualifying 12th, on the verge of history.

South Africa 5/410 v Argentina 5/397
BIG win for South Africa, as Argentina look for answers

EurAsia
Denmark 5/402 v Thailand 5/409
Another thriller this week, with Fisher's withdrawal proving costly for Denmark

United Kingdom 5/413 v Japan 5/451
Big upset in a much needed with for Japan, the UK need to regroup

Ireland 5/429 v India 5/504
Indians storm home, as Ireland is looking very shaky.

The round that wouldn't end finally ends!

Wow Russia, what 516 points behind and won!!

AAA
Western Australia 5/446 v California 5/391
WA did enough to get over California

Just about season over for QLD/NT, while Chile stay in touch

Ireland 5/429 v India 5/504
Indians storm home, as Ireland is looking very shaky.

Russia 5/522 v Sri Lanka 5/516
NOW THIS MIGHT BE MATCH OF THE YEAR!! Russia stuns Sri Lanka, scoring 522 points all in the final match to keep season alive and win by ONE point. Sri Lanka's minor premiership hopes dealt a blow.

France 5/391 v Israel 5/377
Not pretty, but a much needed win from France

Germany 5/443 v Pakistan 5/548
Pakistan wins battle of cellar dwellers, but with a VERY impressive score!

QLD/NT   2   0   6   3193   3732   85.56%   8   12

The battle for the top 5 heats up, with just percentage separating 4th to 8th, all teams still have hope, though QLD/NT need a miracle. Venezuela looking tough to catch, while Mexico climb to 5th (3 weeks ago were 12th - so QLD/NT it is possible!).

Only 3 weeks to go before the next stage

Germany   1   0   7   3345   3714   90.06%   4   12

The Minor premiership battle is well and truly on! UK maybe a game clear, but they have 4 teams on 5 wins behind them. Ireland slip out of the top 5, the once premiership fancies in big trouble.

Germany can not make the final 5 now, 4 games out with 3 games in, in all likelihood it is over for Pakistan also.
