Title: Round 2 vc/c
Post by: bkimm32 on March 24, 2021, 11:51:37 PM
Backing Gawn in for the VC again. He’s the obvious pick against a depleted Saints ruck stock. Macrae the safe C pick for me.

Toying with the idea of Grundy into Gawn, as I think he’ll be out to prove a point, and his round 2’s are generally always better than his round 1, but I’ll probably just play it safe after a poor overall round 1 score.

Grawndy has been a winning formula for me for such a long time, not willing to jump ship just yet.

I'm not sure if I'll have a loophole option so I'll probably just take Gawn and risk it. Otherwise I was thinking Neale into Gawn.

 :)

Gawn into Dusty. Dusty has a pretty handy record against the Hawks, and have a feeling this year he'll be having a red hot go every week. Perhaps a better year than 2017, and he is good enough to do it.  He has been training the house down, and he must be doing it for a reason. Definitely worth the punt.

;)

Gawn into no one as we won't need it and there was too many rookies this year to carry an intentional loop.

If Sharp gets dropped that may not be the case, Fyfe could be very handy indeed.

VC Grundy into Oliver. Looking for a rook to get dropped or no VC for me anyway, but good to see Grundy back. Just a tackle here tackle there mark here , mark there,  and a bunch of second efforts and the rucks are back in business.

If no loophole not sure i'm putting C on Gawn until I see from him also.

No one backing Gulden in to back it up :D

Be careful to ensure they aren't the sub, could be disastrous.

Yeah might just roll with oliver 122 last week shouldn't be too much either side of that....

Just have to make sure your loophole donut is not a listed emergency

Sure but teams playing on Sunday still haven't finalised their squad, a can see a myriad of issues.

Have the VC on Grundy, but might not be able to bank it unless someone gets dropped

Will roll with Gawn C if need be

Yes i am overthinking Oliver/Gawn as my V/C
Problem is i may have to commit one as Captain or consider Tmitchell as atm i may have all rooks playing albeit low scoring ones from last week  ::)  :-\

111 just a little short but this will be the year of conservatism with VC scores

That's just it, your loophole player needs to be from the same team as a decent backup captain choice. If Scott/McNeil, have Macrae. I'm using Saunders, and have Mitchell in my team. If Saunders gets named in the emergencies I can captain Mitchell. We should know the sub an hour or so before the game too, though that doesn't help people who work weekends.

There is still the issue of getting the player stuck on the field too though I guess and losing a bench score

Went Gawn VC but starting to wonder how much time in the ruck he'll get ?? With both the Saints key rucks out will Jackson do most of the tapping with Gawn forward ??  Any views on this please, tossing up with Neale ??

:-\

Neale it is .

Riddle me this....    137 + 20  vs  Macrae + Kosi
Points in hand is the safer bet, though the players have a higher ceiling.

reckon that 20 makes it worth the punt

more chance of kosi getting 57 and macrae not going under 100 ?

Yeah Sharps 20 put a spanner in the works, otherwise it was an easy VC take.
Ranked top 500 so may as well gamble on Kosi going 50+

If I want to take Gawn VC score I would have to put the C on Green and hope he isn't the medical sub, won't find out until I miss out on Macrae's score :-\

Don't have Rowes score and have E on Campbell which I'm taking due to not trading Rowell.
May as well ride the good luck and take the punt.
