you can't go wrong (barring injury) with Houston Sicily Ridley, few more for that matter, I'd suit your bye structure so maybe not Ridley... though he's awful tempting.

Agree on dawson at this point I'm not sure it matters that much if he plays, he's basement priced.

Salem a luxury you maybe don't need but could be a big pay off if he throws up another 2 or 3 tons...

If I go early on Dawson I can get the top defender and the 4th ranked defender, if Dawson doesn't make the cut he can at least be that floating donut in tandem with Sexton/Comben who are keepers in my view, perfect bench coverage when the team fills out.

Fair comments about Salem but to be honest, Wilson down to Salem is probably the best value cash grab this week, even if it's only chump change. Howes is probably toast in the long run but I suppose with this formation I can swing Clohesy back to D7 and use Howes to get Fisher next week (along with Sweet).

Just on these defenders, Sicily & Houston are often strong finishers, Sicily has been uber consistent ever since that fateful opening round, the only thing missing is that monster score which will eventually come. He is definitely getting more attention however so there's that to consider.

Bringing in two bye players not ideal but next week is the best week to be missing players, round 14 & 15 look to be very challenging with 18 starters a difficult proposition.

I'd go Houston just based on break evens but either option is good. Hoping Garcia gets a recall myself and I'm not bringing in the port/freo guys until round 14.

Richards to Harrison :) 4 weeks minimum listed as 5-6. You'd think all your upgrades / trades will be done by then.

There are two gws rooks on the bubble who played last round. Then dawson from north. Expect another couple from the pies.

I'm getting fisher fwd next week, then clark and/or houston the week after.

I like Ridley always been a high ceiling and reliable scorer pending health. Sicily is like a key fwd lately seems to boom or bust, has copped tags. But with that run he's a good bet.

Salem would have to average minimum 80 plus going fwd to pay off i think in terms of cash gen.

Sexton Clohesy and comben pretty close to that scoring already without spending up on salem.

Think with the luxury of comben/sexton your D6/F6 is not a priority.

Maybe Sicily/Ridley and a FWD (good luck picking the right one) If it's for a cash grab maybe it's Boak I suspect even when he's back Rozee is destined for more FWD time.

You may have to look at Richards for Howes if funds allow unless you wish to hold till after the byes. He is out for 4 weeks.

What do people think of these trades? Darcy, Howes, Wilson out for Sicily, Ridley & Salem.

Sicily has 2 games against Richmond, 1 against West Coast, 1 against North, I think he has the easiest run home of all the big name defenders.

Ridley more speculative but is already discounted due to a couple of sub scores from last year.

Houston also in the thinking but he's such a high standard deviation player, his lows have the potential to ruin the week.

Ryan I would like but spending all the chips on him makes me very uneasy, I think it would be better to wait until after the bye.

The rookies look shocking from here, maybe some joy in the midseason draft but I'm struggling to see any great cash cows.
