What are you Freo guys wanting for Tarrant?
Getting a bit older he wil most likely go to a younger club with a vulnerable backline like essendon or Hawthorn.
What would you want for him?
I personally would love to see a Trade of Taz and a 3rd round pick for Schoenmakers. Hawks get a solid FB to sure up their defence and give them a better shot a finals while we get a young developing KPD who make take another yea or so to develop.
another forward to help super pav?
Ha Ha > We'll give you Motlop for Taz then fob him off to ?
sorry valky but theres no way ur takin shoenmakers u can have morton or dowler
I am starting to think the clubs that would be interested in Taz have nothing they can offer that would leave both clubs and supporters happy.
Maybe a retirement is on the cards.
He mite actulally but he is welcome at the hawks
When Browny leaves they will be desperate to get him.
PS you can have him ;)
couldn't go to the eagles
don't need him anyway got an aging fullbackmen don't need another
The only reason he is leaving Freo is because of his wife wanting to go back to Melbourne for modelling work. If he was gonna stay in Perth he would re-sign with the Dockers and not the Eagles.
The more I think about the trade the more I am liking the option of Dowler. Good height - can be utilised in a key post either forward or back.
dowler he will be cheap next year, but a full backmen for a forward is not a good idea
He will miss his brother, come to NM for free ;)

I think Dowler could be molded in to a backman. Good height, good size - has the qualities. Harves turned Taz in to a great full back (possibly AA if he didnt get injured) so I am comfortable that Harves could work with Dowler.
If not, then we still need another key forward and he could fill that role.
Dowler would be good and he will probably be okay with leaving, Hawks haven't given him many chances...
He definitely has the size to be KPP - 196cm 90odd kilo's.
Seems fair enough, basically you want somebody younger than Taz with the potential to do the same job :P
Thats the way I see it - but the club could look at it a different way. Grover and McPharlin arent getting any younger and that leaves only Silvagni as a KPD (at 191cm). We have a young fella Sibosado on the rookie list but he hasn't played a senior game and has injury probs.
Although the club has come out and said that they are looking for a forward and some more midfield depth
I forgot about young Shepheard as well - yet to debut but is lightly framed at 194cm and 85kg. Sibosado is more a forward where as Shepheard can play both ends.
Shepheard does look the likely type.
heard that if the hawks fail to get tarrant they will try and persuade grover to come to the hawks

Dowler can be a great prospect. Can play CHF or CHB so can work for you guys in 2 ways. He looked great last year when he was given chances to play. Wondered why he didn't play this year.

same thoughts here hp
Dowler prob didnt play because Hawks seem to have the love for Jordan Lisle
Haha, if I supported the Hawks I would rather see Dowler play than Lisle...

Exactly ;). Lisle was used because he could also back up in the ruck if needed.
Have Josh Fraser, Keep Taz as well lol

I dont want Fraser - I cant believe that trade is getting a big head of steam going.
Leon Davis for Chris Tarrant, straight swap. Keen?
Still not convinced about that...:-\

If they Play Davis in the midfield, it'll be a good trade ;).
Yeah it would be, actually that would work well for both teams...
Brilliant, now if we can only get Valk on board.
Valk, I'll contact Eddie, you contact Steve Harris.

I only get 1 phone call this year and I am not wasting it on Leon Davis. My phone call this year will be to talk about Mitch Clark
Both would be nice ;) But yeah, Clark would be better
lisle is beta than dowler :P
Dowler I think is a tad more versatile. Can be played Forward or Back which can be good for teams who need some good backs/forwards (like Freo).
Lisle can play defence and back up ruck. Which will also be good for Freo :P.
Not the best example using Freo ;D.
hey lisle can also play fwd was playin there for box hill :P

I can remember dowler kicking some goals when buddy and rough were out 1 game. Wuld be a regular in essendon 4 sure.
Nope - don't want Leon Davis. I like the idea of Tarrant for Anthony. Mick has said on "On the Couch" that he is interested in Tarrant

Well Dowler has more potential :P. But I am Biased. Swayed me over in the games I saw him in last year.
He is a really solid young player. Not sure why the hawks aren't bothering about him. Hopefully Essendon get him cheaply and we turn him into a solid player.
I could also see Dowler in purple. Trade week starts tomorrow boys and girls
The race for Dowler is on :P.
1 more sleep :P
well 2day no trades were Done ::) and dowler kicked 4 goals against richmond in rnd 21 wen roughy didnt play and 3 goals in rnd 22 wen buddy and rough didnt play
mayb dowler is wanted

Knew he was wanted 8). I'll be watching him pre season if he moves 8). Freo needs a forward and back, he fills either void :P.
You can't seriously expect a Premiership Player from the Pies can you Freo?
Leon Davis (yes, technically a premiership player but not really) for Chris Tarrant is a fair trade in my view.
But lets face the facts:
- Tarrant is older than any of Collingwood's premiership 22
- Tarrant is leaving anyway
- Collingwood don't actually need another key defender, they want another one, but don't need one.
Goldsack, Wellingham or Dawes?! MUST be dreaming.
Hell, I don't even think Anthony <--> Tarrant is a fair trade :)
You have to start somewhere and then find a happy medium.
Maybe asking for alot was a stategic trade move ;). Settle with what they want and maybe more when they bargain.
Ossie - also keep in mind that Wellingham was put on the trade table last year to attempt to get Ball
