what does ricochet's pic show other than Buddy going for the money?

He obviously wants to move to Sydney. Getting out of Melbourne, who knows?

But not all about the money if he chooses Sydney over GWS.

He's getting more money in his pocket if he moves to Sydney because of the extra money towards living benefits

No he's still be getting much less

Note that the 1.5 mill includes the living costs and even if it didnt, 10% of 1.5 mill equates to around 350k less a year than what GWS offered

They're replaying what Hutchy said on Footy Classified on Trade Radio.

He was spot on...  :o

Cicjose

there is more money in his pocket because the cost of living payments aren't part of the cap

TeeJay

This is just beyond a joke now. No wonder Sydney have been up for so long with the handouts the AFL give them

No there isn't

Its not even difficult maths lol

Ziplock

the extra living benefits are only like 25k per player per year....

Talking actual football, I'm not sure how much better this makes Sydney. Tippett isn't as versatile as Roughead. Buddy ain't that cohesive.

This is what @craighutchy said on @FootyClassified last Monday re Buddy to the @sydneyswans #TradeDebate pic.twitter.com/I8PEAB25OW

But Bolton was veteran listed and on a 1 year contract so I doubt he costed more than 200,000 to the salary cap.

Were Reid and Mumford worth 1 million together?

Oops I didn't account for the other retirements and delistings

Yeah its approximately right

The salary cap equalises the competition by sending a star player from the current Premier to the previous Premier. Balance.

Well considering when we got Tippett you guys blew the house down complaining about it.

The AFL commission says.

Stop whinging about the salary cap. You know its not the reason Franklin wants to go and you know its not the reason Sydney is an elite AFL team
