I started the trade thread up on my birthday last year so I'm doing the same again this year!

Usual rules apply lads
Player movements will obviously not count towards 2017 finals.
There is no trade voting for approval unless I receive an official complaint via message about a trade, after which it will be put to a vote. Please only complain if you really feel one team is winning by far too much - not just for slight inbalances like in WXV.
Future picks for the 2018 draft can be traded with the exception of first round draft picks UNLESS you receive one back. Obviously picks for the 2017 Nat and Rookie drafts can be traded.
Yadda yadda yadda, you all know what to do.

Houston gives: Taylor Adams + RD32
San Fran gives: N7 + N9 + RD7 + Hugh Greenwood

It's Hugh Greenwood! How could I not! Giving up a super premo entering his prime but think the picks will help us inject some young talent into the team.

Jukes to confirm.

Confirmed

Greenwood is a gun (and an ex-basketballer apparently), but lucky for us we got him for just about nothing (and never expected to get anything out of him) and we have good forward depth. Giving up a small bounty of picks could be massive (next Selwood and Dangerfield?), but I usually suck with high draft picks so I'd probably blow them anyway. Adams is a gun, helps out the backs and is another midfield option.

Also fun fact: many years ago I drafted Adams at pick 235 in the original draft, then went and traded him for Angus Monfries and a pick upgrade! Hope he's glad to be back playing for the club, seeing as he missed out on winning the flag.

San Francisco trades: Brayden Maynard, Peter Wright, and NAT Picks 33 and 35
Colorado trades: Tom Scully, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti, Jake Melksham and NAT Pick 29

Scully had a down 2017, but I like him and he should be a solid option for a few years, while also adding a dons cult hero and a former-dons cult hero! Maynard and Wright are certainly future good scorers (especially the former imho), and Wright was a great ressies captain for most of 2017, but I like Scully more.

Maynard is a gun and future D1 for Colorado. Also a fan of 2MP, rest of the trade just balancing. Can always do with picks in a rebuild.

Confirmed.

Ottawa trade: Nathan Jones + Liam Shiels
Anaheim trade: Luke Partington, Joe Atley + Myles Poholke

KB is going for a premiership and needs solid scoring mids to help secure it. Parti, Joe and Polka fit in to my team nicely with a host of other young mid guns.

KB to confirm.

Going to put this up now as I can't guarantee I'll be online later this evening.

Quito trade: J McVeigh
Anaheim trade: J Allison

Swap of youth for experience. KB is clearly pushing for a flag and McVeigh just signed a one year deal. Wasn't too long ago he was averaging triple figures, but he is simply better suited in a side contesting a premiership now rather than one building for a few years down the track.

KB to confirm.
