that draw cost me the finals :'(
Crap! We've lost our first final already :(
The one week that Tex might have actually pumped out a decent score, at home to the Bombers, and he's probably going to miss >:( >:( :'(
And just to confirm now, bottom 8 draft order is locked in, and won't be changed by what happens in the bottom 8 finals series :)

I know how you feel, missing Boyd/Dion/Riska/Barlow/Higgins this week. And then Fasolo and Howe would have played as depth but they're also out.

Been waiting all year for this debut and he didnt disappoint :P Hard inside, 11 tackles :D
This season is getting beyond a joke now. Prestia, Riska, Barlow gone for the season. Higgins basically gone for the season, highly doubt he will return before the British GF. Boyd out this week. Then for my depth, Fasolo, Howe, and one could argue Harwood all out. Then Libba gets injured before HT. Then both Cotchin and Shuey put in their 2nd lowest scores of the season. Lecca scores his lowest score of the season. Hanley with one of his lowest for the season.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are missing Bob, and I guess Edwards (but Petrie covered with 150 anyway, his 2nd highest score of the season). Granted, it hasn't been their best week, and probably would have won anyway, but still bloody annoying >:(

I would not be surprised if this ends up being the Hurricanes worst score of the year, im very lucky this hasnt been a good week for you :/ Have 3 premos score in the 70s for the first time this year and an averagish captain score :/ Not a good signs leading into finals. This will probably knock me out of CL id say :/
And yeah so far this year the Hurricanes have been fortunate with injuries, touch wood lets hope it stays that way :P
And petrie finally moving up ground and getting cheap possessions across half back, could he be a forward premo coming into finals :P
Kennedy is gunning for the Highest Score of the season I think.
Pretty much dragged Blackpool to the win.
This has got to be the lowest scoring round of the year??
yeah we tried to lose

Hedgies gain 37 points with Walker as OOP ruck
Steins gain 140 points with Mills covering Redden, and then another 80 with Stanley OOP for Yeo
Bunnies get 40 points for Bews OOP ruck
And for HGA:
+70 for Hurricanes
+66 for Werewolves
+66 for Hawks
+66 for Hedgies
+62 for Dragons
+66 for Bunnies
+68 for Hoods
+61 for Rams
Final match results for week 1 of finals:

So in the top 8, we say goodbye to the Breakers and the Leeches. The Hawks move on to come up against the Badgers, whilst the Hedgies will play the Owls. Hurricanes and Werewolves shall both enjoy a week off.
In the bottom 8, the Dragons and Magic both get the week off. Hoods played very well, and will fight it out against the Steins, and the Knights will match up against the Bunnies. The Giants and the Rams exit the consolation finals series.
