The world has been taken over by the craze that is Pokemon, but who from the pokemon world would make your SC team. The most popular selections would likely be those of Pikachu, Charmander etc, but for me there is only 1 choice… Ditto… The ability morph into your opponent would be so cool. What is the next craze going to be Yugioh, Beyblade, Digimon or an augmented reality Supercoach (Yeah No)

We are now fully into the run in for finals with only 2 weeks remaining before the finals start. With both divisions shaping up nicely for some tight finishes, high quality finals and competitive minor finals, keep your eyes open and trust in the SC gods blessing your run in.

Division 1
In division 1 Mountalizians FC has already sealed the minor premiership with a 4 game break on the second placed SCHILLACI with a further 5 teams only 1 game back and well in the fight for a top 4 spot and double chance.

In the match of the round Ardy FC was able to hold off X by a solitary point. This meant he avoided yet another high scoring, heart breaking loss and kept himself in the top 4 hunt, which with his scores he arguably deserves. In other games Mountalizians had not trouble in putting FC HAWKSTONE back in his place and in a scrap for finals. SCHILLACI won a quality match with Bombers Rule, who now faces a trip to face the runaway leader. Bics Best destroyed the Dos Destroyers by a huge 300 points. Frogjumper won a low scoring scrap over $Blues, but unfortunately it is all for nought having already been relegated. Corkascrew won an important mid table match over Terrifying Glue. Stubbsy’s Heroes scored a league high 2460 to easily account for Cunning Coyotes. WingardiumLobbeosa ate some spinach to get a win and keep his final hopes alive. Tailspower performed to expectations to defeat a valiant Tiger of Old team who is hoping to not just be making up the numbers come finals.

Match of the round â€" Tailspower vs Cunning Coyotes

Divison 2
The minor premiership in Div 2 is only slightly closer than that of Div 1 with Bored Sains in the box seat with Raging Marshmellow 2 games back. The fight for the final 2 spots in the top 4 though is well and truly on. As is the top 8 with multiple teams still in a fight to take one of the remaining places.

In the match of the round Bored Saints had a strong win over fellow contender Raging Marshmellows. The win puts the saints 2 games clear ontop and only a disaster would result in him losing that minor premiership. In other matches Jive Turkeys went a league high 2498 to beat the mightily unlucky Beef Tannen FC who scored a strong 2435. Bull Dust won a very high quality, high scoring and entertaining matchup over Flying Fids by 84 points. PumpedUpCripps should be counting his chickens after getting the 4 points over Engineticians with a low score of only 2278. Ringo Rocky Road kept his top 4 hopes alive with a close 11 points win over McBasketball. The Hulkamaniacs scored well to knock Tigertuff off and snuff out his hopes at a finals spot. MC’s Mix went huge to take the 4 points and stake his claim as a real contender come finals. BlueBaggers heaped more pressure on Sacre Bleu with a 76 point win. Brainpharts knocked off Richos Has Beens to leave him rooted to the bottom of the ladder and in line for the wooden spoon.

Match of the Round â€"  McBasketball vs Bull Dust

A week of massive scores with the top 10 all scoring 2398 or higher. Lets hope this is the way of the future. Jive turkeys managed to take the 25 points this week pipping out MC’s Mix by only 2 points. Rounding out the top 3 was Bull Dust who is performing better and better as the year continues.
Overall Bored Saints is still leading the way, now by 29.5 points over Jive Turkeys who is starting to make his move. Mountalizians is sitting in 3rd place and still well within striking distance.
In the overall points race there are 4 teams fighting for the honors. With only 91 points separating Ardy FC in 1st and Jive Turkeys in 4th. Will any fall, or will the race go right down to the wire.

The final round of the season is shaping up to be a nailbiter with multiple double chance, final spots & relegation battles waging in the same vein as some of the historical epic battles.  Injurys, restings and just unacceptable poor performances are prevalent in every round at the moment, with trades at a premium finals could well come down to how you managed your team throughout the year and the luck you get over the run in.

Division 1
In the match of the round Tailspower had a 61 point win over the very competitive Cunning Coyotes. The win leaves the former right in the mix of a double chance, while the Coyotes will require a win to keep his finals hopes alive. In other matches Spinach put another 4 points on the board accounting for Tiger of Old. Ardy FC kept his good form and finals hopes intact after taking out WingardiumLobbeosa. Corkascrew shot Stubbsy’s Heroes in the back to leave him teetering on the edge of finals. $Blues held off a fast finishing X to record a 54 point victory. Bicsbest smashed Terrifying Glue who is starting to struggle in the late of the season. Frogjumper pulled off a huge upset to knock SCHILLACI out of the top 4 and left him needing a win and some luck to take a double chance. FC HAWKSTONE won a match where you’d be forgiven if assuming the match ended at 3 quarter time with neither team managing to score over 2150. Bombers Rule cause arguably the upset of the season smashing the top of the table Mountalizians FC by 198 points.

Match of the round â€" Bics Best vs Stubbsy’s Heroes (Winner Makes Finals)

Divison 2
Sorry I don’t have an up to date ladder for D2

In the match of the round Bull Dust took the 4 points from McBasketball. In a match that could have had far reaching consequences on the top 4 and top 8 positions the overall scoring was quite poor. In other matches Raging Marshmellow pull out a solid performance to knock off Beef Tannan FC. Juve Turkeys notched up another win taking out the Flying Fids. Bored Saints hasn’t been bored this year with points and wins coming left, right and centre. Engineticians showed why he was touted as a potential promotion candidate with a strong score and win over Tigertuff. Ringos Rocky Road smashed Fantasy Addicts. BlueBaggers won an epic high scoring after over The Hulkamaniacs. MC’s Mix outperformed Richos has beens who couldn’t even hit the 2k mark. Onomous signs for the run in. Sacre Bleu! is having an acceptable year taking the Brainpharts to town.

Match of the Round â€"  Bluebaggers vs Engineticians

It was a week of high scores with you need 2410 to just make the top 10 for the week. Topping the table was bombers rule who pulled a huge 2573 out of the bag, this was 95 points more than the next best, just showing how strong it was. Making up the lower podium places was Tailspower with 2478 & bics best on 2461.
The FF Medal ladder didn’t change much this week with all the top of the table contenders not making the top 10. This leaves Bored Saints still holing a 29.5 point lead, but with 25 points on the line this could easily be gone in 2 weeks if he is not careful.
The overall points though is the most competitive competition with only 129 points separating Ardy FC in 1st from Jive Turkeys in 4th. The playing splitting them Mountalizians FC and Bored Saints will be hoping that they can continue the run. This might come down to the final week and who has had the best management thoughout the year.

The best education for the situations of Supercoach consists of the experience we acquire from the study of Supercoach History. For it is history alone which without causing us harm enables us to judge what is the best course in any situation or circumstance. The results of a year’s worth of planning are all but here, can your education lead you to glory.

That better time is there to act like an entitled man and try to inflict pain and misery on your fellow competitors. Most men feel themselves entitled by the weakness or misfortune of others to inflict further outrages upon them without fear or reprisal; they take barbarous pleasure in adding to their afflictions, in making them feel their superiority, in treating them cruelly, in ridiculing them. Ride My Pretties Ride.

Division 1
In the match of the round Stubbsy’s Heroes locked in his finals appearance with a relatively easy win over bics best. In other matches Mountalizians FC tuned up with a win over the relegated Dos Destroyers. Frogjumper continued his good late season form knocking off bombers rule but ultimately too late to push into finals. FC HAWKSTONE somehow got a win with a 2284 over Terrifying Glue. SCHILLACI finished the season well with a win over X. WingardiumLobbeosa went league high to have a comfortable win over $Blues. Tailspower smashed a hapless Corkascrew who needs a return to form otherwise a short finals appearance will ensure. Ardy FC proved his credentials and wildcard positon taking out Tiger of Old. Cunning Coyotes similarly proved his credentials with a close win in a high scoring encounter with Spinach. A rematch in Finals Week 1 awaits the two teams.

Match of the round â€" Spinach vs Cunning Coyotes

Divison 2
In the match of the round BlueBaggers locked in a top 4 position with a win over Engineticians, who failed to live up to the preseason. In other matches Flying Fids had a 193 point win over Beef Tannen FC, Raging Marshmellow scored a huge 2575 to deflated PumpedUpCripps. Jive Turkeys had a win over McBasketball going into a knockout major final. Bored Saints showed the league why he won the title and is the favourite to take out the whole prize taking out Tigertuff. Bull Dust  won a close encounter win Fantasy Addicts, but will need to improve this week to stand a chance. Ringos Rocky Road had a win over Richos has beens who was presented the div 2 wooden spoon after the loss. The Hulkamanics slaughtered Brainpharts proving brawn beats brains. Sacre Bleu! Won an epic over MC’s Mix - 2542 def 2524 both holding confidence going into finals.

Match of the Round â€"  The Hulkamaniacs vs MC’s Mix

It was a round of huge scores with the top 10 all scoring in excess of 2500 points, this is not something that happens very often, so congratulations to everyone in the top 10. Raging Marshmellow took the 25 points, with the medal leader Bored Saints taking the 15. Rounding out the top 3 was The Hulkamaniacs. Unfortunately for the chasing pack after picking up 15 points this week Bored Saints looks set to take the FF Medal for the year, for him to give it up from here everything would need to go wrong. The other 2 podium positions are still within reach for 5 teams and should go right down to the wire. Overall point however is still a wide open race between 4 teams. Ardy FC leads the chasing pack by 61 points, Bored Saints is in second, Mountalizians FC in third and Jive Turkeys in 4th.

Good luck to all finalists - broke Super Coach rule 5.1 - Though shalt not miss finals with trades remaining....

Thanks again for everything this year LS, I'm still pushing for as high over-all as possible, but apart from that it's roll on next year.

Bics Best out.....

Spite

Thanks LS and good luck all. My team has been in shambles, have had 2 donuts every week since getting through the byes with no donuts...

LordSneeze

Great Job LS.    Really appreciated the write ups.    Also dont feel so bad about my season now that I made the FF Medal top 10.

Losing to Frog in the last was disappointing.  Especially with a 2500+ score.  cie la vie

2 weeks remain for 4 coaches in each league between ultimate glory and the devastating feeling that you have let a golden chance slide. No matter what happens everyone should hold their heads high with the knowledge that you have survived an injury laden year. Both leagues this year have shown the quality spread throughout the FF community, even with the odd underperforming coach both leagues are gunning for a top 100 league ranking, a very solid effort.

Trades are wafer thin or already devoured like Nachos after a night out drinking. Remember that relegation and promotion is still on the table for many coaches, so keep pushing, but most of all don’t let the dreaded last round resting’s derail your year.

The results from round 1 of finals are below, but write-ups will only be on week 2 finals

Division 1
In the major finals SCHILLACI caused a slight rising of the temperature coming in hot with a very strong win over Spinach. He moves on to face fellow Div 1 virgin Ardy FC in a difficult to pick semi. Corkascrew also popped a cork in celebration taking out Tailspower. Tailspower will be back bigger and better than ever next year and looking for revenge while Corkascrew goes on to face League Leader Mountalizians FC in a huge Semi.

In the Minor finals bics best ran into a white hot X and appeared to have had no chance in taking his scalp. X moved on to face WingardiumLobbeosa in the battle of the 1 word short and long name teams. Tiger of Old is the final team into the semis with a win over a highly reputable FC HAWKSTONE who would be disappointed in his year overall. Tiger of Old will face bombers rule who is having a strong end to the year.

Divison 2
Moving on into Div 2 and the Major finals threw up a few difficult and dangerous matchups. The Hulkamaniacs knocked out Ringos Rocky Road from this year’s post season with a strong 2494 vs 2367. The win moves him into a tough semi against the leagues form team BlueBaggers. In the other Matchup Jive Turkeys showed why he was there or thereabouts all year with a big win over Raging Marshmellows. The win sets up a very enticing encounter with Bored Saints in what was bieing billed as a potential GF earlier in the year.

In the Minor finals McBasketball was able to stroll around the ground with a HUGE 362 point win over a very disappointing PumpedUpCripps. Whether this was injury/resting related is unknown, but in any case it should be a lesson learnt for next year. Mcbasketball now faces Sacre Bleu! in what is one of the hardest matchups to pick. Flying Fids flew into the final semi with a win over Fantasy Addicts, the Addicts have stuggled this year after relegation last year, he will be hopig to bounce back and prove his quality next year. Awaiting Flying Fids is Brainpharts in a semi that all of the neutrals are looking forward to watching.

In a turnup for the bookmakers Bluebaggers has made a stunning run taking down 50 points over the last 2 weeks in the FF Medal. Scores of 2538 & 2675 have pushed him well up the ladder and into the fight for a podium position. Unfortunately for him it is looking too little too late to fight for top spot with Bored Saints still holding a commanding 30.5 point lead. If his rivals do not score well this week, he could go into Grand Final week with it already wrapped up.

The overall points however are a completely different story with movement galore over the last 2 weeks. Mountalizians FC is the new leader with 2 weeks left. He holds a 56 point lead over Jive Turkeys, 66 points further back is Bored Sains. Ardy FC is still within striking distance on 206 points off the lead and with a few more good weeks Bluebaggers is 334 points behind and still in with a slim chance.

Fantastic league this year LS and et al.

$Blues has been rubbish, but ... there's always next year.

Best luck to all finalists, and have a great off-season.
