Had a rollercoaster season, with a high of overall 554 in round 3, and overall 16,800 in round 16 and finished just outside of top 3k mostly because of bad captain choice in the final round. Crazy season for me :/

Pretty happy overall being my 2nd year + struggling with a few LTI's early on.
Round 24 ranking of 943 was my best.

What do people think of this idea? Make a Fanfooty premier league! We make say 4 leagues like English football and have a religation system. So if you finish top 2 in league 2, you go up into league 1( premier league ), and if you finish bottom 2 in league 1 ( premier leauge ), you go down into league 2, and so on....

I'm open to anything, always seem to have a spare SC league. If we keep this open till Feb2012 you may get your four leagues here mate, that'll make it easier for you and a good place to start with the best in order of rank. I like what we got going here as each year it will fluctuate with coaches doing better or worse etc,if you make the #1 or #2 league when it's all done you've had a good year. Have to come up with a good name for the #1 league like "FF's 18 Elite" or something. Leave that up to the guys that make it and everyone else will have to follow suit lol.

I agree, i also think the guys that make the leagues 1 and 2 will be going for Rank mostly anyway as that is more important to them than winning the GF i feel. The relegation using Rank By Total Points is definitely the best and fairest way to go about it.
It would be great to go to the League Rank Page and see one of these Leagues in the Top 20 flying the FF banner for us all.

Yeah i think you will enjoy it, Dudge and i went into a few FF leagues this year and became hooked. The competition is excellent and the fact you have so many committed coaches in one league takes care of the Leagues Rank. Good Luck to you, id like to have ranked well enough to join you in there, had a poor year in 2011 maybe next year. League 1 looks pretty strong already mate.
I really hope you guys can get into that Top 20 and promote FF with the other big leagues, that would be great.
this is a great debate, my 1st year in d/t, i finished top, with 14/1 regular season got smashed in g/f ( simply because opposition were scoring 1400- 1600 hds ) Second year ranked 107 (no idea how ) , and won nearly every thing. Third year started to worry about rankings, finished 5th ii n league, overall 3815l( mind you this was a money league grrr) This year finshed 4th after g/f yet top of our rankings. The way look at it is , some people enjoy rankings, some people enjoy g/fs
yeh true Dudge but i think the better coaches rate ranking higher than GF's like yourself, youd rather rank well than win GF's. To each his own but ranking certainly is more important to me these days except when it comes to our moneyleague haha.
New entries have slowed up a bit which is to be expected, i'm sure once people start coming back for next year things will pick up dramatically entries wise. If you know people that would qualify get in their ear and let them know what we got going on here.
Higher ranking generally means highers average score which is going to equate to more wins. However last round panic means anyone can win really. This is looking great. Will have many strong leagues together of coaches who know what they are doing!

The Bloods Ranked 4522 won a couple of leagues in my second year of SC looking for a tough league.

Onya CuStArD was hoping youd see this and jump in. I pinched the idea from the DT version mate which i thought was a brilliant
idea so all the credit should go to Wes really. I dont mind putting stuff like this together as it gives me something to do in the off season and Wes has come up with something i think alot will enjoy and not a bad way to get some FF Leagues into that elusive top 20 leagues page. The 1st league is shaping up to be a beauty i have high hopes for you guys if the majority can repeat last years effort or close to it you guys should go well but thats alot easier said than done. Goodluck.
We need to come with a name for the 4 leagues should we get the whole 4. I was thinking along the lines of "FF's Elite 1" and FF's Elite 2 etc. Now would be a good time to throw some names at me and we can run a poll of the choices put forward and take the most popular if people wish or go with FF's Elite, it is a democracy haha up to you guys.

Team name last year was Lipton Teabaggers and I finished around at 15,459. Was in the top 10,000 for most of the year, but I had a horror run of injuries on the run home and very few trades to work with.

Grazz I have 2 spots open to make an SC league. My other one is Facebook orientated. So would you like me to grab league 4 and possibly league 5 if we make one? Will have to come up with names that represent 5 of them in ranking order.
Another name suggestion FF and then put posting ranks to keep it in theme with the FF site.

However, unfortunately, I won't be able to join as I don't have enough leagues.
I don't even have enough leagues for BigFooty div1 or TooSerious div1 and am with SCE and a few low rank leagues such as my brother's, work, mates and Essendon Team Board.

My team in 2011 - 22 and a Half Men (gotta love Charlie Sheen's antics last year lol!) - finished 705th after getting as high as 400th or so. My best season ever, still couldn't win my league though go figure!!

I've never been a fan of points systems for wins and draws, it doesn't make sense in the AFL. I always think 'can't we just call them wins and draws?'. Makes sense in soccer when you get 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
But yeah, 4 points for a win, 2 for a draw! And total points can be the deciding factor...

You can join the FF Lead League as that is all that's available at the moment.

Nobody will be moved from any league. Worst comes to worst we will find coaches to replace those that hevent joined.
Plenty of time. The guts of every league is there, you'll do well regardless of who comes in from here on in. The problem with starting these leagues early is people forget then you have those that get on once a week if at all.

We are missing North Melb's Finest and theta. ive been in touch with Nth Melb's Finest and he knows he has to sign up soon, ive contacted theta a couple of times while he was online and got no answer so i think he may of pulled the pin.

All those below without a rank are commited to FF Lead, the league has 18 coaches now. Not sure if all have signed up yet. Hevent heard from FS yet this weekend.

No worries mate, we are just waiting on theta now, ive sent multiple PM's to him and heard nothing back so that spot may be up for grabs.
FF Copper is full now, so thats 3 leagues that are entirely full. A couple from FF Platinum havent been on since September and November 2011 so we may need to source a couple of Good Coaches to fill this. The others are coming along ok.
I cant remeber my exact rank from last year but i was in the top 650. Got 18th and a 36th in the weekly comps.
If you need someone to fill a spot i can do that.

No once your in your in mate. 2 of the coaches that are missing form FF Platinum havent been on since Sept and Nov 2011 so thats their problem really. If they return and the league is full they can grab a spot in one of the others if a spot is open or miss out. You cant sign up to leagues then go missing for 3 or 4 months, makes things to hard for me.

It was from Wes in DT that gave me the idea and to take it a little further with six leagues, well it grew into six leagues really.
Im confident Wes or someone will do it next year for DT, its a great concept i reckon and gives everyone a go against similar ranked coaches, what more do you want hey.

Do you guys reckon we should start a new thread and post each FF Platinum to Lead league's updated rankings each week? The top post can be updated each week so it would more convenient for people to see. Then we can get an idea of how every league is doing without scrolling through posts and stuff. We can also banter with other leagues. Having said that, we could just do it in this thread as well or the other one that has H2H stuff. Just an idea.
Also is there a weekly ranking for leagues as well? If there is, that info can be chucked in there too.
