DZEKO captain this week? Thoughts?

I'm going Aguero Jackross, I think either will be a good option.

Hey guys,

Apologies for not being around the last week or so...

Chasing some tail and Fantasy Sports don't mix!  ;)

Anyway, something I've learnt this year, and will now plan in for next year is DO NOT use your WC Round 1... there you go! lol

I saw up the chain that Koop is using it after Round 3. This is starting to look like the go. That said I have a nice healthy team value and am making profit all over the place, so I will continue down the strategy path that I planned for this year. ( I like to pick a strategy at the beginning of the year, and see it though to the end - That way I know exactly where and when, why and how it goes wrong, then apply those learnings the next year) I will be taking point hits (You don't really want to know, it will make you sick) BUT, I am basically starting a strategy process from the start of the year this year as opposed to last year when I started it around Round 11 last year.

So I am hopefull that my team will be what I want by Round 10 this year, leaving me 28 gameweeks to smash it home. Thats the plan anyway. To give you my example from last year, I started trading heavily from Round 11 until I had the balanced team I wanted by Round 18. In Round 18 I was ranked about 950,000. Between Rounds 18-38 I averaged 70 points per week, and rose to 125,000. So my theory is start the process earlier and smash it home for longer :)

Its not for the faint hearted though!

How am I faring so far...

Gamweek 1. 93 Points - Week Rank 70,570  8)
Gamewek 2. 39 Points - Week Rank 1,988,090  ::) - Overall Rank 238,109

My Team value is now 101.8, and looks like it will be close to 102.5 by the end of this week. :)

I am planning quite a number of trades this week to keep building my bank balance, but honestly, it will make you sick to your stomach when you see who and what trades I'm doing lol

Sounds good VSA. What is your team like and what transfers

Ive had to take a 4 point hit to get 11 on the park.

Rat - Reid
Hazard - Silva

makes it

Mignolet (Boruc)
Coleman - Reid - Shaw (Ivanovic - Kolo Toure)
Silva - Nolan - Mirallas - Coutinho - Koren
Soldado - Lambert (Benteke)

Currently 1,069 hopefully I wont drop below 10k so I can use my wildcard and shoot back up.

Your teams in great shape Koop!

Kolo is out 4-6 weeks. If you want to trade him to Reid you can wait until Saturday to be sure... Even if Toure drops 0.1 you won't loose any profit because he is only up 0.1, so no profit made there.

Current NTI figures for the two of them...

Name              Position   Team         Price  NTI     NTI Target    NTI today    Target %
Winston Reid   Defender West Ham   5.0    6886    68,000             341              10.1
Kolo Toure      Defender  Liverpool    8.6    33,097  68,000           -1784             48.7

Hey guys,

Used my wildcard and have 2 million left over with this team so unlimited trades.

Mignolet.
Coleman, Ivanovic, Zabaleta.
Wanyama, Silva, Nolan, Yaya Toure.
Soldado, Giroud, Sturridge.

(Davis, Whittaker, Barkley, Collins.)

Playing Collins for the week. Any changes you would make with the 2million? :)

Cheers Tom,

I didn't realise it was confirmed as that bad!

My opinion is that your EPL wildcard is the SC equivalent of trades - resist your primal urge to use it!

Guys,

Start Kim vs Everton at home or Turner vs Southampton at home

T Dog

Thinking of taking an 8 point hit for these trades this week...talk me out of it?

Caulker to Coleman
Lugano to Fonte
Hazard to Yaya Toure
Bony to Sturridge

Team will be :

Mignolet
Coleman, Lovren, Fonte
Gerrard, YaYa (C), Michu (VC), Giaccherini
Sturridge, Soldado, Lambert

Begovic - Mertesacker - Garrido - Colbeck

Not a bad squad at all

But I'd probably do three transfers this week, and one next week to even it out

Thanks Big Tom...will have a look...was keen to go bring in Barkley next week. Like the look of Hulls Robbie Brady as another roughy if Lambert doesn't fire up... :D
