But we have cracked the top 100 in league rankings! 97th!!! go team :)

Its a great first season of the league, likely to get stronger next year aswell. All we need now is to hold sway in the top 100.
Should hopefully get 2 leagues next year. Been good only having 1 as i have been able to set up a few structures and stuff the last few weeks that are making things much faster. (Its part of the reason everything has been late)

I actually love tennis in general. Follow both Mens and Womens closely.

Most people only really know the hot ones from the top 50. Most don't realise that there are many between 50-200 that are even hotter. *Cough Ana Bogdan Cough* and even further down the ranking *cough Marina Shamayko cough*

With only 1 week to go, this is the week to leave everything on the line. Injuries are starting to sort the men from the boys and the challengers from the pretenders, those who have Fyfe, Ablett, Beams, Mundy, Franklin, Mitchell will be sweating on late outs all weekend. The league however has moved back into the top 100 and into a fabulous 97th position. The chance to move higher will be great with the above mentioned injuries affecting a lot of the high ranking leagues.  Consecutive losses by Spinach has seen him relinquish top spot to FC HAWKSTONE however the percentage difference is so close that anything can still happen. Rolling at the bottom there is a logjam of 4 teams fighting to stay out of the bottom 2 spots, however for Cousins Coke N Ice & Engineticians even if they avoid the bottom 2 relegation will be hard to stop. The Top 4 and finals spots like the top and bottom is going down to the final week. See below for a brief explanation of the possibilities. This replaces the matchups for this week.

And with that the season is over for 2 coaches. Condolences to Engineticians & Fantasy Addicts for missing the consolation playoffs, barring a lack of teams next year both will be joining the ranks of the second tier. For everyone else the season is well and truly alive and the true game begins. There is no time better than now to pull out all the stops to stay in the comp or move directly through to a semi final. Well done all on holding the top 100 league ranking this week at a steady 93, only 4 weeks to go to finish in the top 100. The overall points ladder is well and truly a 3 horse race for the podium spots, holding a 500 point lead over 4th. Who will be able to hold out over the next 4 weeks and take the crown.

Hawkstone FC managed to pull out a solid win over Terrifying Glue and secure the minor premiership and with it the home final double chance. Unfortunately for Terrifying Glue this loss relegates him into an elimination final against Big Mac.

Spinach tried and tried to make up the difference to FC Hawkstone, but even a massive 2610 wasn’t enough to breach the % difference falling .39% short. Hi massive score was also enough to inflict a 5th straight loss for Fantasy Addicts and a fall into 17th place, no final spot and relegation from Div 1.

In a match that was the easiest to pick for the week, Corkascrew managed to live up to expectations and get the strong win against a Big Mac team who had little to play for. He has set up a mouthwatering double chance final encounter with Spinach while Big Mac is in a cutthroat elimination final.

Frogjumper managed to sneak into the top 4 and a double chance with a nailbiting 17 point win over Stubbsy’s Heroes. Needing Mountalizians to lose aswell to steal the spot it was a weekend of tense score checks and high drama. A Matchup against FC Hawkstone is a chance to upset one of the top 3 and throw a cat amongst the pidgeons.

In what was a weekend to forget for Mountalizians a massive loss to Cousins Coke n Ice meant he lost his double chance that looked almost a certainty 4 weeks prior. It sets up a very dangerous knockout matchup vs a unlucky Stubbsy’s Heroes team.
For Cousins Coke N Ice the win was a lifeline sneaking him into 16th spot out of relegation and a final. However he has work ahead of him if he is to bridge a 800 point gap and over the points ladder relegation spot.

Bicsbest was one participant in a 2 point thriller. For him though it was bittersweet losing such a close match with a score that would have beaten most other players. The result means a matchup against Wingardiumlobbeosa. For the victor TailsPower it was like winning the lottery as it meant a double chance in the consolation finals.

WingardiumLobbeosa went about business with the utmost of professionalism making light work of a Tiger of Old team that was playing for a chance to sneak into finals. Instead the former finished just outside in 9th spot and with a home consolation double chance final.

Dos Destroyers will be heading into finals in form following a solid win over fellow consolation finals contender $Blues. The win meant a double chance rather than a knockout. For $Blues it was a so so match with the other results meaning that he was guaranteed a double chance, there is talk of collusion taking place due to the think % margins that occurred in the top 4 of the consolations ladder.

In the final match Engineticians was unable to cause an upset and save his season finishing with the dreaded wooden spoon. Unfortunately for TRIPLE X the win wasn’t enough to get into a double chance consolation final instead having to fight in an elimination final.

Unfortunately for most those lofty heights were not met and many a team will be wondering how everything has turned south. League rank is still holding strong sitting at a very impressive 108th position. The overall points ladder is still any of the top 3 place holders to win, or more importantly to lose.

In the major finals Frogjumper who managed to only just sneak into the top 4 cause a massive boilover over FC Hawkstone to go straight through to week 3. In the other double chance final Corkascrew too the cake, presents and likely the bragging rights home in what could be a final preview. In the knockouts WingardiumLobbeosa went mental posting a massive 2657 to kockout bicsbest. While Mountalizians FC season is over at the first hurdle after being unable to keep the early season form going into finals, Stubbsy’s Heroes causing yet another upset.

In the consolation finals, Dos Destroyers managed to progress through a tough matchup, while Tiger of Old is looking at a potential banana skin matchup against Triple X. In the other double chance final $Blues went very low almost missing the 2k mark for the week, leaving the door wide open for an easy progression by TailsPower. In the knockouts. Cousins Coke n Ice’s season is over after falling to a strong Triple X performance. While Terrifying Glue was lucky to progress at the expense of Big Mac’s Army having the 4th lowest score of the round.

When the dust settled we were down to 4. It appears that this round is the annual finals carnage round with many a popular selection either in doubt or already out. With only 4 teams left fighting for the inaugural FF Div 1title it is shaping as a very close race, every match throwing up unexpected results, can one of the underdogs cause a massive boilover, or will FC Hawstone or Corkascrew pull through the murky waters of Supercoach lagoon. League rank has fallen again this week down to 111th place, unfortunately with the ensuring carnage this is very possible to drop further even 1 player is low on trades or cover. The overall point’s ladder is still any of the top 3 place holders to win, or more importantly to lose. Only 142 points separates the top 3

In the major finals FC HAWKSTONE bounced back from the disappointment of the previous week to utterly destroy Stubbsy’s Heroes by near of 300 points. He has set up a Semi Final against Corkascrew. In the other prelim, WingardiumLobbeosa continued his very strong form with a massive upset over Spinach, a disappointing end to the season for Spinach after leading most of the season, getting pipped at the post on the ladder and then going out in straight sets in finals.

In the consolation finals, Tiger of Old managed to put the loss from last week behind him to sneak a 34 point win setting up a big Semi against Tailspower. The other prelim was a very low scoring affair with Terrifying Glue taking the prize, a matchup against Dos’ Destroyers.
