Title: Is 3 cats in the midfield to much?
Post by: lions(L) on August 11, 2010, 08:29:29 PM
I'm thinking of bringing in Bartel this week for Martin,
but i already have ablett & selwood in my midfield,
would 3 geelong players in my midfield be to many?

Possibly with the resting stage coming up, although if they lose this week they shouldn't rest people because they have a chance of dropping down to 4th.

jimmy's definately carrying an injury in his elbow

but thats what makes this game so good - risk taking and learning from it

good luck

hmmm.
apart from jimmy,
i'm also thinking shane tuck or kade simpson in for martin,
then upgrade fyfe to n.riewoldt.
i have 254k in the bank with 2 trades.

I am in a similar position, but don't have the cash that you do.

Other good Martin upgrade options for you would be:
Mitchell
Gibbs

Goodluck

No it isn't, but I'd be wary of Jimmy with the elbow injury!!

At lkeast they wont rest them all at once
they could do what Saints did last year.

I have had all 3 for a while. I started with gaz and bartel. Then selwoon dropped to 500k so I had to snap him up. The only problem is that all 3 haven't fired together in a game yet from memory. But you always get around 300 points from the 3

3 is great when they are all in good form, ATM Selwood is the only one there in great form, Ablett alright and Bartel not great. I would steer clear of Bartel.

I would say at this stage it probably is, if you already had the three in there it would be fine but Jimmy is playing hurt at the moment and if Geelong get over the line against the Dogies this week then they will most likely rest him for finals.

Along with a few others  :-\

yeah i like mitchell too, i think he could prove a bit of an x factor for some finalists. can score the pitiful 60 70 odd but has those massive 140s every month or so too... query on sammy is the disposal efficiency, continually burns the ball which hurts his SC
