It seems like a bit of a disadvantage to name a team first. Knowing if the other team is attacking/flooding or if they're tagging a player can give you an advantage in selecting your team.

Maybe we should pm teams to Levi and he can post them all up after all have been submitted?

You can edit your team after posting though. So it's not set in stone. I'll set the lockout for Monday midday so any changes made after that won't be counted.

Actually just submit the team and then if you are going to make any changes just re-post and don't edit your original.

So a player doesn't have have
to be DPP to use "Limit" or "Bigman"?

Correct. They don't need to have DPP but need to be named in the appropriate spot. E.g. Bigman needs to be a ruck on the IC. Limit needs to be a forward listed in the forwards.

How the scores have been worked:

Each of that players scores over the last 2 years(that they have played) are within a spreadsheet. Each one of these scores has that players standard deviation attached to it either way.

For example:
Dean Cox scored 100 in a random round. His standard deviation is 20. So his scores become 80 - 100 - 120. Then each score in between the top and bottom numbers are included. So Dean Cox has a score anything between 80-120.

This is done to every round. So there are around 2000 possible scores per player.

Rio de Janeiro Jaguars:

Structure: Standard
Tagging: Ben Jacobs tagging Robbie Gray
Mid-Match: Limit tactic for Jack Watts

D: Matthew Boyd, Brayden Maynard, Jackson Ramsay, Aaron Francis
M: Gary Ablett(C), Ben Jacobs, Johnathan O'Rourke, Lewis Jetta
R: Will Minson(VC)
F: Jack Watts, Daniel Rioli, Gary Rohan, Cameron Pedersen
I: Elliot Yeo, Shaun McKernan

Got no Premiership players in the team. They need a break after their efforts in the finals.

Levi434

Team Name: WXV Legends
Structure: Flood
Tagging: Kane Mitchell tagging Scott Pendlebury
Mid-Match: "Limit" tactic for Matthew Pavlich

D: Danny Stanley, Nick Dal Santo, Troy Chaplin, Jed Adcock, Andrew Walker
M: Dane Swan(C), Matthew Stokes, Kane Mitchell, Brent Harvey
R: David Hale(VC)
F: Adam Cooney, Matthew Pavlich, Drew Petrie
I: James Gwilt, Xavier Ellis

Levi434

Team Name: Buenos Aires Armadillos
Structure: Flood
Tagging: Trent Dumont tagging Dane Swan
Mid-Match: Takeover for Easton Wood

D: Cale Hooker, Easton Wood, Zach Tuohy, Shane Biggs, Shaun Atley
M: Scott Pendlebury(C), Ed Curnow(VC), Isaac Smith, Trent Dumont
R: Tom Nicholls
F: Harley Bennell, Jamie Elliot, Shane Edwards
I: Richard Douglas, Andrejs Everitt

Purple 77

#39
Berlin "2017 premiership or bust" Brewers

Structure: Flood
Tagging: Daniel Talia tagging Alex Rance
Mid-Match: "Limit" tactic for Lance Franklin

D: Michael Hibbed, Jamie MacMillan, Shaun Burgoyne, Daniel Talia, Michael Johnson
M: Nat Fyfe (C), Jack Steven, Tom Liberatore, Jack Viney
R: Max Gawn (VC)
F: Lance Franklin, Michael Walters, Mark LeCras
I: Jobe Watson, Stephen Hill

Dan Talia has a pretty awful history, so why not embrace his awful score and make him a tagger?

I also had to check the STDEV and averages of Fyfe and Gawn just to make sure :P Fyfe won't be scoring less than 91, which is nice.

Here's hoping Buddy kicks a bag.

Stevie J also gets dropped for his poor form

Levi434

That tagging thing doesn't make sense does it? Oh well.

Fyfe has an equal chance of scoring 203 as he does 15.

ahaha SJ. ;D

For mids it makes more sense. But defenders should really only tag forwards and vice versa I guess :P and probably call it something else like "Shut-down" or something. But hey, this is what this comp is all about, ironing out the issues and testing things  8)

meow meow

Surely tagging can only occur in the mids.

Probably a modification we can make in future weeks but for now we'll leave it.

Team Name: New York Revolution
Structure: Standard
Mid-Match: "Limit" tactic for Josh J Kennedy
Mid-Match: "3rd" tactic for Jordan Lewis

B: David Mundy, Josh Gibson, Tom McDonald, Shannon Hurn
M: Jordan Lewis (VC), Mitch Duncan (C), Tom Scully, David Armitage
R: Kurt Tippett
F: Josh J Kennedy, Isaac Heeney, Liam Picken, Daniel Menzel
I: Dom Tyson, Shaun Grigg

Starting Menzel even though he has a cold streak - reckon he can go 80+ to avoid the 10% loss
Duncan gets the C as he has +10% form confidence
Lewis loves being 3rd man up so we'll adopt the 3rd tactic there too
Assuming Mundy and Picken get DPP, which is fine for this trial

:)
