Nathan Bock this morning advised the Gold Coast Football Club of his desire to retire from the game, effective immediately.

Prior to signing with the GC SUNS, Bock played 113 games for the Adelaide Crows after being selected in the 2002 Rookie Draft, and at the end of the 2010 AFL season joined the Gold Coast as an uncontracted player selection.

A Best & Fairest winner and All-Australian player at the Crows, Bock played 27 games with the GC SUNS.

 :o :(

Really liked Nathan Bock and he was playing some good footy before this recent run on injuries. It's a shame he couldn't get back out on the park for the Suns as I reckon his leadership and experience would have been really important.

All the best Bocky.

No real surprise but a really sad way to end his career. Could not get his body right after the broken leg.

Great career and wish him well in retirement.

Sad that injury ended his career. He was a very underrated player.

He was a brilliant player when he was at the Crows. It's a pity about the broken leg killing his final few seasons
