The number #2 team of the comp still hasn't cracked 150+ yet, but they haven't needed to in the past 6 weeks now! However, Dublin hasn't done that either in the past 5 weeks and has clearly been feeling the absence of a few of its star players. Beijing would love to win this game, and with HGA, they just might do it! The Thunder for me!

The Tigers lost an unlikely game against the Revolution, having now lost more games in the H&A season than they did last year already. The Cobras were on track to take a step back from last year's 6 wins, but the last two weeks (138 & 134) have shown hope that they can get wins in their tougher part of the draw. But I'll believe it when I see it. New Delhi.

Last weeks results have demanded that this game by my MATCH OF THE ROUND! The Magpies have hit a crossroads, having suffered consecutive defeats in the last two weeks. Whilst admittedly missing 5 of their best XV last week, they're just not the same without a firing Danger. The Revolution are certainly not the same when they have their players (most notably a ruck) back on the park, scoring a mammoth 159 in claiming New Delhi's scalp! Massive win, and they can make it a MONSTER two weeks if they back it up against Seoul. This game could be a battle of top 4 credentials actually! I reckon the Revs get up!

The Islanders are starting to get that boring phase of writing about them, because they're that damn good that you know they're just probably going to win. The Spetsnaz really are a Docherty away from being a clear top 8 team, but in the meantime I don't think they have the cattle to compete with Pacific. The Islanders for me.

Berlin have averaged 150ppg in the last 3 weeks mostly on the backs of Gawn (148.67 avg in last 3) and Fyfe (135.67 avg in last 3), but equally without its best forwards Buddy, Walters and Menzel. This actually could be the best form the Brewers have displayed in recent memory. The Royals unfortunately are just not accustomed to the 130+ range, and won't be troubling the top 8 until they can consistently score that high. I'll back us in.

I'm actually quite stoked for Tokyo; there has been a definite (and I feel permanent) shift in form over the past 4 weeks, with the proof lying in its 8th placing in points scored in that time. The Saints have weathered their injury crisis beautifully, having still managed to win 5 of its past 6 games, perhaps on the back of a well weighted draw. However, it only gets tougher now, but some big names are due back, ready for the upcoming storm. Tokyo are a big chance, but I think the Saints are back.

The Wolves JUST managed to hold on against Seoul; taking the foot off the pedal perhaps a touch too early in hindsight. Where Christchurch has had their 'easier' games, Toronto has had essentially ALL of their 'tougher' games played already, and I personally believe they are the favourites for the minor premiership. The key is to become the favourites for THE premiership now! The Dillos... ha, I just thought about the re-draft, how the Dillos were the top 8 team and the Wolves were the struggling improvers. I somehow think neither will regret their pathway, in time. But yeah, Toronto in this one.

The Sands have been building IMO, with 3 scores in a row (all away) nearly reaching that magic 130 mark. Now returning at home for the next 3 weeks, I think the Sands could bag at least two of them on the back of this building period. The Jags have an argument in being the most inconsistent team so far this year; two 110s, two 120s, two 130s and one 140+. So who knows what they'll score? I'll back the more consistent Cairo in this one.

The Reindeers hit one of their all time lows last week, not even scoring 1000 against the Dillos who are fast surging past them. I just hope they've started planning for the trade period, as I'm sure depth would be an item on that agenda. The Suns may have turned the corner in the past two weeks; scoring 200 more SC points than their average from the first 5 weeks! Can the Suns build a core around Sicily, Petracca and Rising Star Nominee Jack Graham? I think so! Suns for me!

May is injured not suspended
Majak is playing quite well putting up a decent 76, which is the 68th ranked forward which makes him F4 quality
Hawkins is averaging 82 which is F3 quality
Hill was clearly injured last week was putting up a poor but helpful 76 before this which is M5 quality
EVW is a good young player D5 quality.

@Moscow, no captains named. On preferences, your Captain is now Heppell, and VC Coniglio.

@Seoul, no team named, first strike (no penalty). Your team has been selected based off preferences, and will be shown in the next score update.

Also, just re-iterating the awesome efforts from Rio & Toronto in their team submissions. Loved the background photo in Rio's :P and it wasn't until about Round 4-5 that I noticed the awesome little Round-tabs in Toronto's submission. The little details make it awesome!

I wonder what a designated 'creative submission' round from all 18 teams would look like...

Also, just re-iterating the awesome efforts from Rio & Toronto in their team submissions. Loved the background photo in Rio's :P and it wasn't until about Round 4-5 that I noticed the awesome little Round-tabs in Toronto's submission. The little details make it awesome!

Thank you Purp!

I wonder what a designated 'creative submission' round from all 18 teams would look like...

Looks like we'll fall short, but it was always going to be extremely hard playing Seoul at home

Seoul 12/991 with Danger (C), McIntosh, Tuohy and HGA to come
New York 12/1067 Higgins (CC), Tarrant and Anderson to come

If we assume Smith's 49 will be HGA then it's 1040 vs 1067, so we've done pretty well to push Seoul but they should get over the line

After Super Saturday:

(HGA not yet included)

Score Summary
Beijing Thunder (917) from 10 vs Dublin Destroyers (807) from 8#
New Delhi Tigers (972) from 9# vs Cape Town Cobras (675) from 10
Seoul Magpies (991) from 12 vs New York Revolution (1067) from 12*
Pacific Islanders (1357) from 15# vs Moscow Spetsnaz (847) from 10#
Berlin Brewers (1326) from 15# vs London Royals (1163) from 14#
Tokyo Samurai (936) from 10# vs Christchurch Saints (1087) from 12
Toronto Wolves (1187) from 11# vs Buenos Aires Armadillos (1007) from 12**
Cairo Sands (918) from 11# vs Rio de Janeiro Jaguars (1129) from 13#
PNL Reindeers (937) from 14# vs Mexico City Suns (911) from 10#

# = Captain Played
* = one Co-Captain Played
** = two Co-Captain's Played

Interesting game this one! Both teams could hit 150+, but with Beijing's captain yet to play vs Crouch's 'meh' score of 92, I tend to favour the Thunder here! The big 4 mids are back in form!

Four players goin sub 50 have killed the Cobras, whilst New Delhi are on track for 150+. Tigers from here.

Thank god for Clarry ey? Oliver has made Seoul's score competitive enough to post the advantage over New York, in an otherwise even match up. But, if Danger just plods out another low 100... who knows? Bets are on Seoul.

Second week straight that the Islanders are done by Sunday morning, and this will be a much lower score than normal. A healthy HGA of 65 though takes the mountain from tough to perhaps just too hard for Moscow, who will need its 5 remaining players to score 576 points to win.

Once again, Fyfe & Gawn have come to the rescue of a struggling Berlin side (which special mention to Ronke), who should have made it too hard for Jack Higgins to win it from here (he needs to score 204 points to win). Berlin from here.

The Samurai aren't doing toooo bad, but simply needed more from Captain Ross, given the impending return of GAJ. Hindsight also suggests that they shouldn't have rested Cameron. Whoops. Christchurch with the points on the board and the GOAT to come should win from here. Mind you, they wouldn't want GAJ to be a late out...

There's a new chief in town, and his name is Macrae. Our newest super premo has made Toronto an even harder team to beat, and there's just nothing Buenos Aires can do about it... except count their lucky stars they have Webster.

Close game this one! With HGA of 63 included, Rio lead by just 148 points with two extra played. This honestly could be won within 10 SC points. I THINK, I'll go Rio, just because I don't think Cairo will maintain a HGA of 63. Oh wow, that was their captain too  :-\

PNL need this season to come to an end. Whereas I think things have officially turned around at Mexico City...

Damn, if we had played Conca instead of Tarrant I reckon we might have caused a massive upset

Jed Anderson just keeps producing, just like CEY does

Brilliant Beijing devastate Destroyers

Well! THAT'S the Beijing we've all been waiting for! We always knew they were capable, but they get extra points for doing it against a contender in Dublin, whom really had day to forget. They no longer seem to have the consistency they once did.

Dangerous Seoul returns against Revolution

Seoul is such a different - and deadly - team when Dangerfield is on song, regardless of who is available. Once Kelly & Lynch come back, I think we'll once again view them as a premiership contender. The Revolution were steady, but might just be a perma-captain away from being a top 4 team if you ask me.

Even when the Islanders are having an off day, they don't look like losing. Meanwhile, Moscow are stuck in this 130+ range, but not getting any rewards for it. Had this game been played in Moscow, the Spetsnaz would have got up.

Ronke result for London

Whilst unofficially it's clear that Fyfe and Gawn are the only thing holding Berlin in the top 4, officially... Ronke  won this game by himself. The Royals deserved a score better than 121, with 10 players scoring 70+, but it's other 5 players combined for just 214 and killed their chances.

Sandilands' Saints fend off Surging Samurai

This was a good game! The Samurai were just a poor captain selection away from winning, with other common candidates Cotchin (155) and even Whitfield (95) putting in would-be winning performances. Alas, it was the might of Sandilands once again lifting the Saints to victory, whom welcomed back GAJ with open arms. They wouldn't have won the game without him.

Wolvish Macrae tears through Armadillo Shells

Jack Macrae has emerged as Toronto's major weapon come finals time, with a sustained month of premium scoring certifying his perma-captain qualifications. But, they sure would love former Wolf Jimmy Webster in their team, whose instead playing a key role for the Dillos defence.

Jaguars Sand-Blasted

Cairo really does have some go in them! This traumatised team deserves some consoling wins after some monster scores scored against them, so it's even better to see them post a good score and really CLAIM victory. The Jags' just needed more from JOM, and for Gallucci to have played in the 2s to compete in this game.

Suns' set early; PNL sinks further

Even the Suns felt sorry for PNL, by slamming on the brakes on Sunday and giving up a chance to score their 3rd 130+ score in a row. I'm just not seeing where the next 300 points is coming from for PNL to actually start competing.

Christchurch extend their undefeated run against Tokyo, whilst Beijing join London and Rio (... and maybe Sao Paulo) as the only teams to have a winning record over Dublin.

Great work jing very happy to see you guys back. Especially rocky.

Bit hard to have consistency with more then a 1/3 of my team out each week

Cheers Holz, shows what we can do when our midfield is up and firing. Would help if we could now get some defenders back as we are struggling back there without Ellis, Mayes, Aish and Adams. Tommy Jonas still doing his thing though!

The big 4 mids are back in form!

Soon to be referred to as the Big 5 when Tommy Rock hits his straps ;)
