Had a bit of a laugh about Port warning GC about taking Lukosius or Rankine or both really what are they supposed to do just pick lesser kids from QLD with there high picks  ::) the best chance of QLD kid is McFadyen around the mid 20's pick and they have 19, 24, 29 to pick up these players so lets face it whoever they get with there high picks might want to go home so they may as well pick the best  ;)

it is clever though, making a statement like that, not only might they get in the head of people at GC, they have got a message to those kids as well....

So it's draft tampering then?

You could draw a long bow and say that, more so I would say its a result of free agency that means you will always be keeping an eye out for the 'home grown' talent to bring them home to your club. Go home factor has never been bigger.

Try telling me both Freo and West Coast dont know exactly what Patrick Cripps had for breakfast this morning....... :P

Hall moves for Pick 68
Absolute steal for the Kangas but with their ins will he be best 22 and SC relevant?

And this interesting
Devon Smith averaged 79 #SuperCoach points in his final season at GWS. Aaron Hall averaged 79 points in his final season at the Suns.
Will he do a Devon Smith.

And another steal of a suns player

Gold Coast Suns have traded Jack Scrimshaw and its Future Round Four Selection to Hawthorn for its Future Round Three Selection.

Hows this? (from Jon Ralph)

Suns gave up Dion Prestia for pick 6 (which slid to pick 7 when Gws matched a bid for Setterfield)
Suns picked Jack Scrimshaw, who hasn't settled or performed
Scrimshaw now gone for a swap of 3rd and 4th round picks.

So essentially lost Prestia for nothing.

Huge trade here

Gold Coast Suns has traded its Rd 4 selection, currently selection number 68 (on traded from North Melbourne) to the Adelaide Crows for its Future Round Four Selection.

Or for Stengle trade, and hoping Crows stay bottom 8 again next year

FRINGE Geelong midfielder George Horlin-Smith has joined Gold Coast.

The Suns gave up pick No.59 in this year's NAB AFL Draft for him.

The Crows and Tigers have agreed to trade Tyson Stengle for pick 68. Deal to be made official later today

George Horlin Smith is worth more than Aaron Hall.

And this signing by the Suns.
Gold Coast have signed Sam Collins as one of their special assistance players. Collins is a former Fremantle defender who spent this year in the VFL playing for Werribee.

It's more about making a pre-draft statement to deter a team picking up the players you want. There's a difference between eyeing off a contracted player and telling people pre-draft that you'll pick them up the moment they're out of contract. Not saying it's definitely draft tampering but it's certainly a bad look...
