Final Placements;
2013:
Ladder finish, 8th.
Finals finish, 2nd.
Winchester Werewolves 25.13.163 defeated Hebden Bridge Hedhehogs 24.18.162
The werewolves were hampered by a few late outs which allowed the Hedgehogs back into the game. However the Werewolves steadied and remained firm just holding out the fast finishing Hegehogs. The Hedgehogs (who came into the finals in 8th place) deserve praise for running the werewolves (who finished on top of the table) to the wire.

2014;
Ladder finish, 1st.
Finals finish, 1st.
So we congratulate the Hedgehogs on winning the premiership for 2014.
Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs 29.13.187 defeated Winchester Werewolves 25.13.163
Werewolves were decimated by injury in the latter half of the season after being some dominant early, They will look to bounce back next year and again challenge for the title. The Hedgehogs finished the season strongly and are deserving winners of the Champions Trophy. They now have a target on their back for teams to chase down next year.
Lol Stanton ;D
The Hedgehogs are proud to announce their leadership group for 2013*.
Brent Stanton, Scott Selwood, Dustin Martin and Heath Shaw make up the group.
*Changes based on match-day performances and efforts at training may apply.

will there be any inhouse suspension handed down to martin?
I wonder if the edge hog sack him. Hasn't played a game and already getting out of hand..
interesting that an eagle leading the club results in another controversy.

I hope he celebrates harder on field, maybe he'll buy some Beer at Half Time? :P
I guess the logical thing to do is to wipe Dusty from the leadership group and elevate Nathan Jones.
Dusty will be suspended from playing for the HedgeHogs for the remainder of this year (unless we have some sort of comp, in which case he can play if he shows good behaviour) but will be free to play with a clean slate next season ;D

Yeah well, at the Hedgehogs we have a very avant-garde culture. Therefore, having Jones as VC but not in the leadership group was perfectly reasonable.
Martin will be dropped in favour of Jones now.
Cameron (Dusty's manager) confirmed they had taken prescription sleeping tablets and said the pair was at a friend’s house Monday night but denied Connors was drinking alcohol.
“Dustin's very remorseful for his actions,†he said.
“It would've been easy for us to sweep it under the carpet and pretend it didn't happen but we want (to set a high standard).â€
Cameron defended Martin’s two-match sanction and called for education programs on prescription medication to be ramped up.
The pair missed training on Tuesday morning after taking "non-prescribed sleeping medication" the night before.
Martin also mixed the pills with alcohol and while Connors, who has had alcohol issues in the past, didn't, the club said he had "by his own admission, failed to uphold the standards set by the club" by missing training.
“We have set a standard as a football club and there is a clear expectation that our players meet that standard. Adhering to training requirements is not negotiable,†Richmond football manager Craig Cameron said.
“Daniel has failed to meet club expectations on a number of occasions and this latest incident can’t be considered in isolation.
“Both Richmond Football Club and the AFL Players Association have fully supported Daniel as he has worked through some well-documented issues, and we will continue to work with him while he focuses on his well-being.â€
This just out of a Hedgehogs press conference.

After watching last nights game, Ben Sinclair would have to be pick of the draft for us. Taken so late, has great JS, should be a fwd next season and will be a very solid player one day. Give him 2 years, he'll hit a nice average (when krak retires and maybe swan) :)

How's this comment look now whatlez :P
Hedgehogs Press Release:Joint Hedgehogs Head-Coach Elephants fronted the media today in order to notify their fans of the happenings of the Hedgehogs off-season thus far.
These are the key points:
- Scott Selwood will replace Brent Stanton as Hedgehogs Captain. Stanton will assume the role of Vice-Captain.
- Matt Lobbe and Heath Shaw have packed their bags and left Hebden Bridge, both were said to leave on positive notes.
- Nic Naitanui and Matthew DeBoer will join the Hedgehogs for the 2014 season and beyond with both players signing 10 year deals.
- Naitanui is said to be "excited and motivated" for the season ahead while DeBoer believes the Hedgehogs are a "genuine chance" to go one step further than this season.
- It is understood that Assistant Coach Ricochet is Assistant Coach by name only and partakes in a much greater role behind the scenes. He must reamin under the Assistant Coach title however due to restrictions by the league.
- A number of players are being tried in different positions over the summer with the hope that this will bring the best out of them next season. Aaron Mullett will move from the midfield to the backline, Jack Watts will move from the swing-man role to a more permanent backline position while Chris Yarran will be moved from the backline into a small forwards role.
Mr Elephants would finally like to thank all the Hedgehogs supporters who gave the team immense inspiration throughout the year and urges everyone to be on board next season for what promises to be one of the most eagerly anticipated seasons in the clubs short history!
haha do I get a 10 year deal as well!?

1717 with Greene to come (which includes Riska replacing Sinclair).
1871 + 20 = 1891
Pretty big score with 4 first choice players out!
Riska, Neale and Watts stood up when we needed them too.
Thanks Rusty for the game and good luck next year!
Thanks to Ringo for running this amazing comp!
Thanks to my partners in crime Elephants and Ricochet for their continued Hedgie spirit, support, planning and management.
Lastly, thank you to the players for stepping up when requires. Big thanks to Parker and Greenwood who continually smashed out big scores all year!
Go Hebdenbridge Hedgehogs!! BXV Premiers 2014!!! :D

Although it is sad to see Grand Final hero Michael Rischitelli leave the club, he wanted to seek more opportunities at another GF contender.
Yarran and Jroo have been traded due to disciplinary issues.
The hedgehogs would like to welcome Callum Sinclair and Paul Seedsman to the club!
Pick N35 is lost and N4 and N32 are gained.
So how's that defence holding up?
Mullett, Duffman, Seedsman, and to a lesser extent Savage, although he should be fine for round 1. And then there's Golby who probably won't get a game all year.
Might need to get your mids on some back strengthening programs, cause they're gonna be carrying the team for the first few weeks :P
