Quito trade: Matthew Suckling & Rookie #12
Anaheim trade: National #9

Bringing in some young talent at the expense of Suckling. Though he appears likely to have DPP next season, I am confident in my other options to cover Suckling at both ends. First round rookie pick added to balance the trade.

KB to confirm.

Suckling possible d/f next year was a big appeal could be handy at either end for us

Suckling wanted to join the Ducks when he heard about our retirement plan

Confirmed.

Mathieson has been on my list for as long as I've been coach, so it's a little sad to see him go. Holman is quite a serviceable option with age on his side. In return, I take on an early rookie pick.

Confirmed, wanted more firepower down back and have the bodies to cover Darling up forward. Guthrie + pick swap to balance the age difference.

Houston Bombers give: Dayne Beams + Will Hoskin-Elliott + Will Hayward + NAT 27
Las Vegas Sinners give: Zak Jones + Sam Powell-Pepper + NAT 57

Its well documented that Beams has had his issues this year but he has still shown that he is capable of producing a high output, however I needed to get some younger guys in to help compliment my older mids. Zak Jones looks likely to end up at the Saints and has proven to be a solid scorer, and I'm happy to take the punt on SPP continuing to improve either at Port or elsewhere. WHE and Hayward are both reasonably solid scorers, but I feel I have good forward depth so am able to move them on. Lastly, the pick swap balances the trade.

SR to confirm.

Confirm, we see ourselves as right in the window, so am willing to take the risk on beams and WHE, Hayward and N27 will also be good for the future.

Losing SPP and Jones especially Jones wasnt ideal, he may well outscore beams next year with the move to the saints and is much younger, but have to take some risks.

Quito give: Tom Phillips, National #12 & National #37
Houston give: Hugh Greenwood, National #15 & National #57

Sad to part with Phillips, one of my first acquisitions as coach and a Quito premiership player. Felt that Greenwood & Phillips are of similar value. Phillips has a locked down spot and scoring history, however Greenwood has obvious upside with a change of clubs on the cards. Thus, minor pick swaps added for balance.

SL to Confirm.

Confirmed. Rate Hugh quite high and he should go well at the Suns, but I'll back Phillips to produce a similar output, and should also help shore up my midfield long-term.

Chicago give: Paddy Ryder
Ottawa give: Sam Naismith

Ryder the better scorer but consensus seems to be that Naismith is best 22 as long as he’s fit. Gives me a bit more confidence knowing I have both of Sinclair and Naismith. Likewise Ryder pairs with Marshall for Ottawa. Age difference balances the trade somewhat.

Nige to confirm.

Quito trade: Aliir Aliir, Alex Neal-Bullen + Jordan Roughead
Carolina trade: Callan Ward

Needed to add a midfielder, so taking a chance on Callan Ward who will hopefully be right following the LTI this season. He's coming up to age 30 but hopefully has a few good years left in him.

Carolina looking to add a starting defender with Rozee & Naughton losing D-status and some uncertainty around guys like Roberton & Docherty, so Aliir Aliir fills the hole. Alex Neal-Bullen and Jordan Roughead to add some depth at both ends.

nas to confirm.

Yeah, pretty well summed up with losing 3 depth players as well as ones mentioned losing the D-status have the D line tad low. AA should start each week, Roughy as depth helps. ANB add more depth to the Forwards

Ward, shame to see him leave the Panthers but Mid line is very deep.

Houston Bombers give: Kane Lambert + Kyle Langford
San Francisco Grizzlies give: Ollie Wines

Big trade that benefits both parties. I needed another reliable starting mid, and (provided DPPs go the way I'm hoping) I'm well stocked up forward so could afford to move on Lambert. Lambert is a reliable forward and although he and Wines averaged the same this year, his ceiling is lower and he is older, so Langford was added to even up the trade.

Jukes to confirm.

Massive trade on the eve of the draft!

Houston Bombers give: NAT 2
New Brooklyn Hawks give: Jarrod Berry + NAT 19 + R6

Hard to part with N2, but I'm a big fan of Berry, who gives me another starting mid that is still young. Additional pieces added to balance the trade due to the value N2 holds.

Confirm. Zaharakis had a pretty bad 2019, but I expect him to bounce back and offer mid depth. He's also a chance for DPP.
I'm passing on some promising players at N23, but I think the mid depth, and potential defender DPP is worth it.

Confirm.

The way I see it, both of these players are a risk and could either work wonders, or be big flops, or be a lopsided trade in the end. I think Tuohy gets back to that mid 80's form settled at HB after that mess in 2019, and should be a starting defender. As for my forward line, I should be covered there.
