KARMICHAEL Hunt has been put on ice after breaking his toe while playing with his daughter in the backyard.

Hunt broke his little toe after he kicked an unknown object while playing with daughter Halo Amelia.

Hunt tried to train last week but showed signs of discomfort and the club has given him the week off.

Hunt, who battled hamstring tendinitis and calf problems last year, will still complete cross-training exercises this week and is expected to return to training next week.

Suns ruckman Zac Smith yesterday completed his first full skills session as he continues to make progress from knee surgery. The

Suns also received good news from scans on Jesse Lonergan's troublesome hamstring.

Lonergan trundled off the training track 30 minutes early with an ice pack around his right hamstring. and the club feared the injury was serious. But scans cleared the promising midfielder of major damage.

Good to see Lonergan could play this year, could be a good pick in fantasy.
