Richmond half-back Bachar Houli is currently in the rehab group at pre-season training recovering from a calf strain, the injury is considered minor. Houli is expected to join full training in early January.

Tom Barrass has been sidelined from pre-season training with a foot injury, he underwent surgery this week. Barrass is expected to miss at least 8 weeks, at this stage it is anticipated he will be available for the start of the 2020 season.

Alex Rance retires.  Not enough room here for all the accolades, but terrific player and club man. But opportunity opens foe another youngster on a pretty strong list and of course considerable salary cap space becomes available. Thanks and best of luck Alex. Hi mods wasn't sure where to put this.

Has had the shoulder injury for a while which is why he has not played Marsh Cup.  Listed as 1 - 2 weeks

As per report being treated with kid gloves:

Co-captain Witts has the biggest question mark over him but has resumed running and the club is confident he'll be right for round one. Rankine is being treated with kid gloves but is close to a return, while Thompson is likely to come back from his ACL through the NEAFL

I might still start him and put him on the bench for Round 1, if there isn't enough def rookie options I like. I expect he will be in the side soon enough, although this isn't ideal

Herald-sun repoting Naismith may not play
" The concern is he might not play in Round 2 though due to a hamstring issue. “Naismith is a bit tight in his hamstring so we will see how we go Thursday. Generally we are in good shape though,” Swans coach John Longmire told reporters on Tuesday."
Going to stuff up a lot of plans.

Hard to see them risking him, given his injury history.
Yep stuffed up my plan of freeing up cash >:(

Coach says that he pulled up sore but nothing that will stop him playing but has to hamper his scoring as it did on the weekend , I think injuries are out later today or tomorrow morning that might shed a bit of light on it.

That's why probably best if he doesn't play so we can hold onto him for another week without his price dropping to fix more pressing issues.

GREATER Western Sydney will be without superstar Toby Greene for Saturday's clash with Brisbane at Giants Stadium.

Greene has been ruled out with a knee concern, while Daniel Lloyd (managed) has also been withdrawn from the team.

Lloyd suffered delayed concussion in the round six loss to Port Adelaide after an accidental clash of heads with teammate Jeremy Cameron.

The duo will be replaced by Bobby Hill and Jackson Hately, who earns a reprieve after being omitted when the team was first announced on Thursday night.

I ended up copping the donut for Stephen Hill. I had already traded Ceglar to Bailey Smith before I heard the news, as I couldn't bear not to bring in Gawn for Pitbull this week. If I had traded Hill to avoid the donut, it would have been to Egg or Day, so I scored more points going this route, plus I now have Gawn in my team  :)

Leon Cameron in his presser today.....
@GWSGIANTS
LC: Josh Kelly won’t play tomorrow night which is disappointing. He’s been a bit “patchy” and we hope he’s available for Saturday against Melbourne.

Also from the same presser....
LC: It’s unlikely that Brent Daniels, Harry Perryman and Zac Williams will be available for tomorrow night.

Shane Mumford will be managed after three straight games.

Leon Cameron in his presser today.....
@GWSGIANTS

Lot  of OMG what will I do.  No trades no cover......      Would like to loophole rivers with sholl or ruscoe but the all play against or after williams.   will have coverage so not taking any action.  Got simkin in fwds and may loophole him with K Coleman.    What I do need is right captain pick.  been wrong 3 weeks in a row and it killing me.

Crowls that’s an old tweet from last round (check the post date). Williams and Kelly available to play this week. Already confirmed
