I'm incredibly happy with these selections should they eventuate. I'm not all that sure Thurlow will last until 34 but he could and if he does, we should definitely snare him.
Should we pick Garlett if he's available at Pick 32? I reckon yes, he is probably in the top 10 or 15 for talent but off field stuff has crossed him off some teams lists. With Mark Williams at the club, I reckon he could change Garlett around

Think we should definately take the punt! The guy could be a similar player to cyril for us if we get his head switched on and focused. Silky left footer withs speed. Has great potential

The only problem, is we might not want him, as we already have Dusty to worry about and he might not be avalaibe at 32.
If he's there we should grab him. He'll compliment the pick of vlas who is the disciplined, solid citizen we will take at 9. People have whinged that we probably wont be taking risks on an x factor at 9 but if we get Garlett at 31 i'll be very happy! :)
Still hoping to get Grundy at 9 ;)

Could have... :-X
Pick 9 welcome Nick Vlastuin :D
Pick 31Kamdyn Mcintosh
Pick 33 Liam McBean
Welcome boys :D haven't read alot into these guys. Will be interesting to see how they go
Now Matt McDonough at 42 :D interesting draft for us. All the talk was to nab midfielders yet we've got 1 inside mid, a key back, a backman/ruckmen and a half forward. Time will tell how they go :)
9: Nick Vlastuin - MID
31: Kamdyn McIntosh - DEF
33: Liam McBean - RUC
42: Matt McDonough - FWD
Covered all bases, well done Tigers! Our night is done.
Vlastuin looks ready made for AFL footy. Good build, good height and a great leader from all reports.
Mcbean on the other hand looks more of a long term prospect. 202cm but only 83 kgs
Well now we have a another backup of sorts for Maric.

He wont play for at least 2 years. Needs to put on nearly 20kgs

How did u skip on Grundy?
There was 11 other teams that skipped him before Collingwood got him as well lol.
Very happy with Vlastuin though
Yeah, would have liked to have picked him up, but very happy with Vlastuin. McBean is definitely for the future which means we still need a backup for now.

Vlastuin is a awesome pick up. Very happy with McIntosh too, plays like D.Grimes

I thought the Tigers would jump on him to,but teams are reluctant to use an early pick on Ruckmen i was reminded of this last night and its pretty much on the money.

One of the two picks we have left will definitely go to taking either Wood or Stephenson you would think.

Wood or Stephenson look likely. McBean is no where near ready to play AFL, but has a lot of potential. He is pretty mobile around the ground
Tigers recruit Nick Vlastuin expects to feel right at home with the Punt Rd stars and stripes
RICHMOND'S newest onballer, Nick Vlastuin, could not take his Tigers jumper off on draft night.
The man welcomed to Punt Rd with pick No.9 wore his jumper to dinner with club officials and family to celebrate his selection.
"There was a supporters' group outside (the draft venue) and from there we went to dinner and I didn't have anything to change into," Vlastuin said.
"So I kept my Richmond jumper on. I didn't take it off until I went to bed."
The 187cm AIS-AFL graduate cannot wait to start training with the Tigers in Cairns next week.
"Someone said last night that they've only got about four players over 25," Vlastuin said.
" 'Dimma' (coach Damien Hardwick) likes the inside hard ball - I'm a bit like him I suppose - so I'm looking forward to playing there."
