Well with SAF gone and Moyes replaced, that is one of the first big summer signings in European football... with that in mind, what better than to make a thread containing all the transfer rumours floating about the place?
So if you hear something about a player or manager potentially moving clubs then put it on the thread, because there are so many rumours floating about these days its hard to keep track!
Can be A-League, can be EPL, can be any Euro club, or involving an Aussie, anything
Summer transfer window is sure gonna be interesting this year!
so far....

Rooney to chelsea and Ronaldo + Baines to Man U would lvoe to see that.
RVP and Ronaldo would probably be the most damaging 1-2 combo in the world. baines doesnt mind a goal or two.
Its likely only Baines will move though
Shrek would be interesting at Chelsea. Really don't know how I would feel about that. It'd be nice to have a really dominant centre-forward with Torres/Ba being inconsistent at best.
Will likely have to be twice what he's worth though :(

This kinda excites me, keeping in mind the crap source. Broadening our horizons into the Bundesliga and from what I've seen this kid can play and he's keen to move on to bigger things.
Don't know if we would have him AND Falcao/Lewandowski/Rooney though. That'd be four strikers which in total would cost over 120mill. Crazy when we often only play with one up top :o
http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/borussia-dortmund/transfer-talk/news/reus-not-ruling-out-premier-league-switch_77338.html
I also like this kid a lot but we don't lack attacking midfield talent. Let's be honest. Marin was a star for Bremen and we have killed him. He needs more time before we look at more CAM's.

He's a bench-worthy player at best, so he should start there...
Cannot see Suarez going to Munich; why would he leave after a fantastic season?
Because he would want to be playing in the Champions League. Liverpool won't be playing in the Champions League, in fact they won't even be playing in the Europa League so why would he want to stay?

Few reasons - his suspension, Guardiola, the fact Bayern will likely miss out on Lewandoski, and also Champions League
Still can't see it happening.

Probably from all the Fulham fans. Basically once we got to 40 premiership points, we've stopped. Lost around 6 in a row, including Reading at the Cottage, and we'll miss on relegation probably on GD at this rate :-[

good job Arsenal
If Higuain is worth 18.5M then Benzema is definitely not worth 30M, not sure why Moyes supposedly wants Benzema so badly
If Arsenal have locked in Higuain then that is a really nice piece of transfer work by them.

Nah this is the shock of the summer :o
Mourinho has left for Chelsea and brought Ronaldo with him :o
Mourinho obviously going to Chelsea, but on my opinion Ronaldo is too loyal to United to play for Chelsea. He's always said he loves United and the time he spent there, but it was his childhood dream to play for Madrid. My only concern is he would never go to another English club whilst SAF was on charge, but now that he's resigned he may feel like its ok to play somewhere else. I hope not though...
Well, I can see Ronaldo straight to United, Suddenly the Premier League has appeal!
I see after a few positional changes, player and coach, EPL fame continues
Tony Pulis has apparently stood down as Stoke boss!!
And apparently Michael Laudrup's agent was at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to see the game - strong chance he may be Everton's next manager... I hope he stays with Swansea!

YEEEESS! i will take that! better then all these other names being floated around
Noooo Laudrup can't leave Swansea. :(
But yeah, apparently Akinfenwa is being released by Northampton Town. :o
Stoke and Pulis have parted ways - di Matteo and Benitez are the two favourites
I think RDM would be a great fit for Swansea or Everton
I wouldn't mind seeing either of them at Swansea tbh.

Also we are apparently looking at another Mourinho favourite in Samir Khedira... A defensive midfielder :)
Always been a Coentrao fan and was devastated that he decided to go to Real. Never thought much of Khedira, but definitely wouldn't mind him at Stamford Bridge.
I'd take both tbh.
Khedira is a DM which would add depth there but above all it would add a player whose natural position is Defensive Midfield.
Contrao is interesting, seems to have the ability to play LB and LW... Has experience in Europe... Could be a great Ash Cole replacement in the future (Bertrand is neither here nor there atm) but I reckon he would be a sick defensive winger for when we play clubs with great full-backs.
Watch this space but I like these rumours :P
Bertrand has done nothing to win me over.
He's promising but he needs to turn that promise into consistent defensive efforts.
He can go forward but its his defending that is suss atm. That, and the fact Cole was in ripping form this season, he could hardly get a look in! :P

You gotta start somewhere! Now we have though our spending is much more controlled (barring Torres but we know how that turned out hahaha).
Its not the clubs that piss me off anyway. Its the players that are paid ridiculous amounts in the first place that then go a seek more money elsewhere. As if you need more money!

yeah 80 million pounds, Real Madrid were offering 60
I would love to see Bale stay in the EPL though, good for non-top-four clubs to have some quality players in their line up, Bale is a class above and I don't think he'd be as great to watch at a Chelsea or Man City, better fit for Tottenham
I personally think he will stay for another season, get Tottenham into UCL, then go

Wigan won the FA Cup. When was the last time Everton won a trophy?
Yea true but were finishing consistently high every year and any other year we would of made Europa being in 6th spot
Has any one heard the Wigan chairman saying they may not go to Europe, if they dont who does that spot go to? Everton for finishing 6th? a FA cup semi finalist not already in europe?
Wouldn't mind Mangala if it meant Luiz plays as a defensive mid! Love him there.
I'm a Torres fan, but it's pretty clear the whole Torres to Chelsea thing really didn't work for the most part. He had patches and moments, but it's not what we expected when we signed him. It's pretty easy to understand why Jose wouldn't be so keen on keeping him, especially if he could end up getting someone like Cavani for him! Besides, we still have Demba, Lukaku, might be getting Schurrle and all those mids of ours chipping in to add the goal tally.
Should be a very interesting rest of the transfer window for sure though.

Yossi to New York is pretty much done I hear. The player is keen and so are both clubs.
I'd love to see Kasper in the EPL. Probably at Swansea since I don't like Hull that much. But he would have more competition for at Swansea.
Navas goes to City for 17m (plus add-ons). At 27 he's barely progressed since he was 23-or-so, would've been a better signing a few years ago. He's a quality player though.
Also I reckon 49mil for Neymar is stupid; unproven in a big league, not out-of-this-world in an average league in Brazil either. Would've paid 30 tops for him atm.
Navas was a killer signing in FIFA back in the day

Wouldn't surprise me at all.
Been watching a bit of Henrikh Mkhitaryan over the past season should be a good acquisition for Liverpool, and a good player to have depending on the Suarez transfer saga.
No way, we won't sell Mata or Moses. They're just silly rumours.
Mata is vying for captaincy in the future and is one of the best players in the EPL (easily Chelseas's best over the past two seasons.) Selling him would be suicide and I would be in favour of a name change if this did happen.
The Special Needs instead of The Special One.
As for Moses, a loan deal might be beneficial but he's so young. He needs time. Selling him now would be ridiculous. He showed glimpses of his talent last season!
really hope Arsenal don't get Michu, getting Williams will be bad enough but Michu too will just make me very very angry !!
If Swansea are to do well in the EPL and Europa League then we need both of those players; if we sell them we'll have to get equally-as-good or better replacements

From what I know of him (which I will admit is not much), he is more of a box to box player and can play either as a CDM or CAM, basically exactly the same as Yaya. I would assume that if playing both they would play Yaya as the more offensive of the two (at least to start with) because he is much acclimatised to the English way of playing.

Not sure if this has been posted or not yet, but Modibo Diakite (the same lad I signed to Bradford City upon my promotion to the EPL) has signed with Sunderland on a free transfer and will officially join the squad in week's time on July 1st.
Sorry but not sure where this goes, so off-season seemed logical?
Pep has a live press conference in an hour or so? What's this about?

He's one Shakhtar lad I don't know about, but they seem to be losing a few players lately.
He has been dominating in the Ukrainian league I've been watching him all season, finished with 25 goals from midfield.

Read that he likes playing in behind the striker, creating rooms for the wings. Could slot in nicely if Suarez stays. #countingmychickens
the Ukrainian league is dominated from Shaktar and Dynamo.... no other teams are likely to win
so the quality of the league should come into question before a player should be looked at transferring
I signed Bony on FIFA for 12 million, sold him 18 months later for 75 million so he could warm the bench at Barcelona
Ironic how I signed a player at Swansea on FIFA and now Swansea are gonna sign that same player too, for the same price ::)

And some info about him for the many who have likely never heard of him!
QuoteGood news! The Dutch midfielder is an exciting young talent who boasts a wide range of attributes that should see him fit nicely into the squad as depth for the upcoming season. He's also got the potential to push on for starting honours, but could also be a candidate to go back on loan to Vitesse. However, that option seems unlikely although I'm sure we'll hear more in the coming deals as the transfer becomes official.
QuoteVan Ginkel is a 20 year old Dutchman who has both featured for the U21 and senior squad at international level and features as a midfielder capable of playing both advanced and deep roles. Broadly speaking, Van Ginkel is a clever, technical player who is comfortable playing multiple midfield positions.
He's even been used in a largely unsuccessful experiment in a centre forward role, but I personally believe his best role is as a
Do we really need another midfielder? Like, I've seen this guy play and he's great... but really?
Can never have too much bright young talent ;) Says he can play anywhere in midfield... Will be interesting because Mourinho liked his 4-3-3 at Chelsea but we have being playing 4-2-3-1 forever.
The fact Van Ginkel can play in the pivot, as an attacking mid or on a wing makes me very excited :D Plus we have the smallest squad in the league and we just released a shower ton of players.
We need more depth but I could see this fella starting quite soon :o

But I don't see him going back there considering how poor he and Cisse' worked together.

Suarez to Arsenal for 66 million and 1 is the rumour atm
http://www.theage.com.au/sport/arsenal-in-16340000001-suarez-bid-20130724-2qjpe.html
Suarez looked so unhappy last night, I'm almost tempted to say good riddance if he leaves.
Still hoping we sign Erikson however!
My man Gary Hooper off to Norwich :/ healthy cash injection of 5mil though, doubling what we paid for him.
pic related, when I met him :D

Norwich making some pretty decent signings :o Isn't QPR also quite interested?
Hulk hasnt signed for monaco
Fabregas still linked with man utd even though declining a reported 3 bids
Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid to Napoli (They replaced Cavani pretty quick!)
Nacer Chadli from FC Twente to Tottenham (Might have a serious look at him for my fantasy side)
Maicon from Manchester City to Roma
Chadli is kinda meh. He is massive against the lower end sides but goes missing against bigger sides. And that was in the dutch league. Very injury prone too. But he tears showerty defenses apart, which epl has 4-5 teams where he will do extremely well against

RUMOUR
Real Madrid are preparing a bid worth $151 million to land Gareth Bale from Tottenham. The deal would include $84.7 million cash plus two players, Fabio Coentrao and Angel di Maria, who combined are said to be worth $66.3 million
Would you take it?
EDIT: Think this is in AU Dollars.... still pretty tempting
Yes. ^

I heard slightly different a couple of days ago... $85mil total bid... $45mil cash + $40mil in two players...
This I wouldn't take if I were them, they need Bale to make CL which is their only realistic chance of keeping him long term. A CL berth would be worth more $$ than what RM are offering.
But if they have upped the Ante as you suggest then they would HAVE to take it.
See I dunno, but I see it as a pretty good offer and would benefit Tottenham long term. Angel di Maria is a great player, but just doesn't get the plaudits with players like Ronaldo and Ozil in the team, but he is a very good winger and would replace Bale in the starting side. Obviously doesn't score as many goals as Bale because he is more of a natural winger, but did score 7 last season in La Liga and picked up 12 assists too.
Coentrao would then slot in to the left back position, which works great for a few reasons. Firstly it means they can play Vertonghen where he plays best, and that is at CB, and secondly means that Coentrao can link up seamlessly with di Maria down the wing. Since they've been at the same club before they would know how each other plays, so wouldn't need time to adjust.
With Paulinho then pulling the strings from the midfield they would have a pretty beastly team. Only thing they would need to do is sign a top striker to bang in the goals that Bale used to get them. With the cash they get from selling Bale they would certainly be able to afford a world class striker!
This isn't exactly transfer news, but R.I.P. Christian Benitez.
Thing is though, tottenham would have to pay through the nose for a world class striker and levy isnt that sort of player. Id snap 55m+ for bale.

Manchester United are lining up a move for Bastian Schweinsteiger if their third bid for Cesc Fabregas is not accepted by Barcelona.

I highly doubt he'll leave Bayern IMO
Never happning. They are just grabbing any top cm since united habe missed out on fabregas and thiago
Yeah who will United get? Surely it'll be someone but I can see this going down the deadline day...
It will be someone. United always mask there targets.

TOTTENHAM HAVE WON THE PREMIER LEAGUE FOR 2013/2014. Soldado is a gun. I'm getting him in my fantasy team, I don't even care how much he costs.
As for Remy, good on him, he can join his fellow Frenchmen.

I think a lot of people will be. Think he will be around 9.5 like Negredo is, and if so he is a steal for that price (on paper anyway). I'll just need to find 1.5 from somwhere now. :(

can someone tell me who Soldado is and why he is so good?
Haven't really heard a lot about him.. didn't think 9.5 would be underpriced for him, he must be pretty good
Soldaldo played for Valencia and replaced David Villa when he left. He is a target man and a pure poacher. He is like a Mario Gomez /Giroud sort of mould where he just leads the line, link up play is excellent and guarantees goals. 9.5 is a bargain. He is so expensive because of a release clause in his contract that Valencia wanted spurs to meet.
Madrid reject, scored 30 in 46 last season in the showerty la liga. Not that great and won't be a spurs legend, but Spurs needed a player exactly like him imo.
Spurs to finish above Arsenal. Whatever its paying, get on it :o

If they keep Bale its nearly a formality
If they lose Bale and get one or two extra players its less likely but not impossible
If Arsenal get Suarez (and Spurs lose Bale) then I probably wouldn't take that bet, he will fire in goals aplenty dont you worry

Also why would you need to sign players when your current side won the premier league last season?
Because other sides have substantially improved their lineup with big signings.

Paulinho, Soldado, Capoue, Chadli
Liverpool signed Valencia left-back Aly Cissokho on a season-long loan if anyone cares :P
I wanted to sign him back before we had Enrique, who seems to have fallen out of favour with BR. I like him, but ah well, hopefully Aly is better.
Spurs apparantly offered 93mil and Coentraeo. Are madrid tanking or something? Bale is barely worth more than Conty by himself.
If spurs sell Bale and gain Coentraeo, Willian and another bloke to go along with Soldado and Paulinho, they'll be top four for sure. Would much prefer 4 good players to one "gun" guy.
Also, Fulham sign Scott Parker :O should never have gone to spurs, was a jet at West Ham.

Don't rate Johnson, Agger under an injury cloud, Kolo wasn't nailed on with Skrtel seemingly out of favour but coming back from injury.

Definitely not Agger! Dude is a walking injury.
Before the signing of Aly, I probably would've had Enrique over those lads.
Had mad job security with no other left backs in the team (maybe Wisdom) and pops up for an assist or a rare goal every now-and-then.
Tough to pick between them now. I imagine Johnson will miss a few games due to sharing the role at RB with Martin Kelly. Plus he's a bit injury prone. Toure probably your best bet Ele!

United after Ander Herrera- to bid 30.7mil, triggering the release clause. Also after de Rossi for 10.2mil.
Everton quiet about the improved United 36mil bid for Baines+Fellaini.
Arsenal after Draxler, Kaka and Kalou.
Liverpool chasing LLori, 21, Sakho, 23, Given, 37 (short-term deal) and Moses on loan.
Gareth Barry is willing to take a pay cut to ensure a season-long loan move to Everton goes through.
who is Andre Herrera?
And why do United so desperately want Baines and Fellaini? They already have two good Left-Backs (Evra and Buttner), and Baines is 28, while Fellaini isn't the world-class signing that they need either in midfield
Would love Moses! Even if it is just a loan.
DONE DEALS
Christian Eriksen from FC Ajax to Tottenham for 11 million pounds
Erik Lamela from AS Roma to Tottenham for 26.4 million pounds

Martin Demichelis from Atletico Madrid to Manchester City for 3.5 million pounds
Teemu Pukki from Schalke 04 to Celtic for an undisclosed fee
Christian Atsu from FC Porto to Chelsea for 3.5 million pounds
Atsu will be loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem for the rest of the season.... classic Chelsea
and now for the biggest one of them all.......

Arnautovic to Stoke is a great signing, very good player.
Kaka to Milan haha :P leaves Milan for Madrid for 56mil, goes back four years later for nothing!
Sessegnon rumoured to be going to Brom
Funny and sad now; Southampton had a 25% sell-on clause in Bale's contract, but when they were in financial trouble renegotiated so they could get Tommy Forecast. That's 21.5 mil they lost :/ lucky they're mostly in the clear financially now.
My boy Moses goes to Liverpool on loan, hope he does well. I do like their Sakho signing too tbh.

Either way, should be a good pick-up for a side hoping to stay up.

Signing of the Summer
Has to be Mesut Ozil to Arsenal. There is no way that Bale is twice the player Ozil is (as his price tag indicated).. Arsenal have a world-class player on their list now. Watch out
Best Transfer Window of the Summer
Liverpool had a very good window, stocking up in all areas, while Tottenham were very prolific also. Everton did well on Deadline Day
Worst Transfer Window of the Summer
Manchester United - got rejected by target after target and had to overpay for Fellaini. Should have broken the bank to get a couple of deals done but didn't, the pressure will be on Moyes to perform now - and he better bloody play Kagawa
What do you guys think?
I thought Norwich had a pretty decent transfer window too. Wolf, Fer, Hooper, Elmander just to name a few.
If Martinez didn't sign Lukaku, then Everton would have had one of the worst transfer windows. But that Lukaku signing just makes up for everything :D
And I guess getting 27.5mil for Fellaini after they bid 28mil for him and Baines makes up for the 14mil we had to pay for McCarthy
Everton had the best. They done very well even before lukaku...
Well it's summer ;D .. :P

Just wait six months and you'll have one when you get Lukaku back for free, then play him as your undisputed striker

The English media are amazing at reporting unsubstantiated rubbish. It is the silly season after all!
There are a number of players I do like the look of but for now I'd be over the moon if we grabbed Balotelli or Diego Costa. Been linked strongly to both and I rate both very highly! Of course, only those pesky unsubstantiated media reports to go by atm ;)

Does Man U have unlimited cash sources?... ???
Well they have just won the race for Koke from Atletico Madrid for 36 million and they still want Marcelo to replace Evra.
Koke is a very good signing imo, 30mil is pretty steep for a 21 year-old but he's definitely worth it. Already has a lot of experience for Atletico and the Spanish youth teams, plus obviously has 7 Spain caps, should be ready to go for first team football. Just gotta hope it's not another one of those "done deals" that drag on for four weeks and are finished on deadline day :3

Two words. Clint Dempsey.

Apparently Liverpool are interested in Ryan Bertrand. I'd rather persist with Enrique and Cissokho to be honest, but Bertrand ain't bad.
And also, Ian Rush has supposedly revealed that Luis Suarez has a 120 million pound release clause in his new contract that would come into effect it we were to miss out on qualifying for the Champions league this year.
Not sure how I feel about that really. Suarez is practically our whole team, but 120 mill is like three Ozil's! ;D

Juan Mata needs to leave Chelsea, for his own benefit
He doesn't deserve to be wasting away on the bench - another victim of Mourinho's ego
Such a great player, my favourite Chelsea player by far, so I hope he remains in the Premier League. If United are after an attacking mid they should move heaven and Earth for him ... Having said that I don't know much about Koke from Atletico, and Chelsea will not want to sell to United
Chelsea will never sell to United.
What's the Mata, ah no defence, poor kid sheesh
Just a pity really, his position is taken up by the best at the CAM in the world! Then there are guys that get loaned or forgotten, De Bruyne, Marin, Moses they all can play
Could have been a club great and Lampards replacement but, looks like it is for Mata's best if he goes, so
Let's concentrate on getting the best possible striker we can, even if Mr Nando is firing right back up the last month. Eto's old and crap, Ba needs a new opportunity

Because he's an egotistical douche-canoe. Like, I don't mean to be offensive, but god dammit Chelsea absolutely shiit me to tears. You have so many good players but all you want to do is buy more more more and in doing so, you force out quality players such as Mata. Take a leaf out of a club like Everton's book; they buy players they
need, have satisfactory depth and because of it, are able to keep everyone happy. He'll go back to Spain in an attempt to get himself into the squad/starting XI for the World Cup would be my tip.
Feel free to put in a bid however Liverpool! Imagine a front three of Sturridge, Suarez and Mata with Coutinho playing in behind them :-*
I remember when Mata went to Man United in my FIFA12 (I wasn't playing as Chelsea), I was like... R u srs?
We never should of gotten rid of Dani Pachecho :(
We should make a play for Mata we will use him right and take care of him.

And why only buy players we
need when we have the money to get whoever we
want!? No point settling for second best... ;)
And Mourinho hates Luiz??
Mourinho loves his players like they're sons. He hates the way Luiz is such an attacking CB that lacks a defensive game in countless crucial circumstances but he doesn't hate him as a person!?.
Unfortunately, I can see Mata leaving. I hope he doesn't because I had visions of him or Luiz becoming the next Chelsea captain but we are playing our best football right now with an attacking three consisting of Hazard, Oscar and Willian. Simple fact is, Willian and Hazard are as good as Mata offensively but their defensive work beats Mata no-end. Oscar? Well, I'll let tbag tell you about that boy ;)
If we sell Mata, I hope it is for a lot of money to (40 mill +) to a club that won't threaten us in the PL or CL ;)
@Pool fans, give us Suarez + Borini and you can have Mata
Vamps and Nando? We'd be unstoppable. >:D
Liverpool is our feeder club :P
Sure it's not the other away around? Vamps fed off Bran...

I just hope Lukaku doesn't up and go on loan again next season ::)
Hmm Everton with a weird transfer strategy.. Willing to let go of Jelavic and Heitinga but haven't had any rumours of anyone coming in. Unless Martinez thinks that Lukaku is going to be superman and stay fit for the rest of the season, he better have a big name lined up....
Defoe's off to Toronto.
Also, on a sidenote... A massive shout-out to Thomas Hitzelsperger who recently announced his homosexuality.
Crystal Palace seem to be linked with everyone in England with Crouch, Ba, Jelavic, Dunn, Ince, Etherington. No reports of any of their players wanting out either which is good, If they could sign a couple of those players hard to see them getting relegated.
Fullham on the other hand are in a pretty bad position with both Ruiz and Berbatov rumoured out.
I hope they nab Demba Ba so he can get back to playing regular football and bagging goals like we all know he can, instead of wasting his time on Chelsea's bench.
Nearly certain that Defore will move to Toronto for 6 million then get loaned back to Tottenham until March. Which will be MLS record by the way
Aiden McGeady has agreed with terms and is now about to have a medical at Everton.
Swansea now leading the race for Tom Ince
Thanks for these updates man, handy as!

Players rumoured in at Arsenal - Remy, Mandzukic, Morata, Berbatov, Dezko, Costa, and Di Maria
No players are rumoured out that I've heard/read
Another striker is needed. Someone pacy as Remy would be nice I guess.
Some fairly big names there.
Who is rumoured strongly to come over or are all abit out there?
Cheers man
Remy and Mandzukic are the more popular ones that keep coming up. If Arsenal were to one of these it wouldn't happen until the end of the season however
Arsenal will put a 12 million bid to QPR for Remy but thats if he doesnt sign a permeant deal with Newcastle this month.
Dzeko and Costa are the names popping up to sign this month.

United's hunt for fresh talent has also led to manager David Moyes being spotted in Italy, where he ran his eye over Cagliari defender Davide Astori, 27, and Juventus midfield playmaker Arturo Vidal, 26.
Alternatively, Moyes was there to woo Juve midfielder Paul Pogba, 20, back to Old Trafford, where he spent nearly three years as a teenager.
That's never going to happen ::)

Nemanja Matic left Chelsea three years ago, bought by Benfica for 3 million pounds.
Today he is likely to return to Chelsea from Benfica for 22 million pounds.
I do not understand that signing at all. Matic is a midfielder - don't Chelsea have about 51 of them already?? Not to mention all the young guns coming through. Seems like a bit of a pointless signing, but if a Chelsea supporter has a different opinion I am happy to hear it

Matic is a holding midfielder, will work perfectly in the pivot with Ramires/Mikel and will take some pressure of 35 year old Lampard and returning from ACL injury Van Ginkel. We have 51 attacking midfielders. I will vomit if we sign another attacking mid. I'd be stoked to see Matic back in Blue. Even if it does cost us his price minus 3 mill :P

Thanks for your input. I personally thought David Luiz might be an interesting player to try as a CDM, people were saying he could be a bit like Yaya Toure. A stretch, perhaps, but he played decent there under Benitez. Guess Mourinho doesn't rate him though

Yet when asked directly whether a deal for Draxler was close, Wenger provided a resounding response in the negative, before he distanced himself from reports that the midfielder had been given a tour of the Arsenal Hertfordshire training base in recent days.

EDIT: lol :P
Salah wanted to join Liverpool for months. Now they just swoop on him and for what so they can waste his talent on the bench.
We lost KDB and seemingly Mata. Bit of depth won't hurt ;)
You have 21 midfielders. Depth is the least of your worries.
Ok say 2 of Oscar, Hazard and Willian get injured (very possible).
They would be replaced by Schurrle and..? Salah is a depth signing atm but from what I've read has the ability, just needs to develop the defensive game to start for Chelsea!
Smart bit of business but unfortunately his buy will always be linked with Mata's departure :-\
Liverpool were retarded with the Salah transfer. They verbally agreed a fee in November and then halved it in the Jan window. Chelsea matched their asking price and now Salah moves to Chelsea.
I thought Salah to Liverpool was a forgone conclusion before the start of the window ...

Wait, so we can't buy depth but other clubs can? ???

Liverpool were retarded with the Salah transfer. They verbally agreed a fee in November and then halved it in the Jan window. Chelsea matched their asking price and now Salah moves to Chelsea.
Similar to Cristian Erikson. Hopefully Salah doesn't turn out as good, or Chelsea just end up selling him for half as much in a years time :P
DeBruyne bought for 7mill sold for 17mill+
Mata bought for 24mill sold for 37mill+

EDIT: lol :P
This is why you shouldn't get excited until it is officially announced as occurred. I remember when everyone thought Ronaldinho was going to sign with United, but then at the last minute went to Barca instead :(

Chelseas transfer expenditures out weigh by triple that of their revenue.

You're right, it was much better when the competition was consistently won by United/Arsenal. Money is bad for the EPL. ::) *smh*
Salah transfer isn't officially announced yet either.
Set it straight! Money is GOOD for the EPL!
Would you rather have two or four teams competing for the title every year?
I wonder if Melbourne Heart will make any major signings.

pretty sure chelsea need to do this deal to stay within the fair play thingo.. replacing 40mil of mata with 12 mil of salah
MATAAAAAAAA
Chelsea Football Club and AC Milan have reached an agreement for the transfer of Michael Essien to the Serie A side, subject to him agreeing personal terms with Milan and passing a medical examination. #CFC
Straight from Chelsea's Facebook page.
Luke Shaw bid gone through and accepted by Southampton. Overpaying but he is going to be the best LB in England and maybe the world soon enough.
Rooney will be the captain for 2014/2015 season after signing a 300k p/w deal.
Toni Kroos and Aturo Vidal interests are real, after Toni Kroos' agent was spotted with Moyes at the Bayern game.
Where would Kroos fit? Isn't he a CAM?
I thought you'd line up like:
Mata ---- Rooney ---- Janazuj
Van Persie
Can Kroos play out right instead of Janazuj? I've never even seen him play other than in the WC in 2010 where he wasn't a prominent feature.
Kroos - Amazing long shots!
Kroos is a complete midfielder. He is most optimal as a CAM, however his defensive work and control he can play deeper. He has even played as a DM Slave (busquets role) under pep.

Heard it so much from all these "supporters" back in the day. United never fade. They are too big. Make too much money.

Would be a brilliant get for United.
I thought Chelsea were in pole position but they have Bertrand and another young gun out on loan so they are well stocked there. Fabio and Buttner don't cut the mustard so Shaw is a ready-made replacement

agreed, Bertrand would be decent enough replacement for cole, but Chelsea would rather buy a ready made player than let a youngin grow into a star. look at Lukaku, he's a 100 times better than Ba, why not keep him and let his show what he can do instead of loaning him out??
personally if i could make changes for LFC i'd get rid of Johnson (attacks too much), Enrique (goes missing), Lucas (BENCH - injury prone, defensively great doesnt provide enough attack), Gerrard (Bench - quality but need to find a long term replacement)
dunno how true this rumor is but napoli offer Gokhan Inler if we give them Agger. DONE DEAL. Inler replaces injured Lucas.

Man Utd duo Fabio and Wilfried Zaha to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Cardiff
Zaha only loan.
David N'Gog from Bolton to Swansea. I'm a Swansea fan and did not see this coming at all. Now we just need to sign Thomas Ince from Blackpool

Dunno why, but I always keep thinking Cech's older than he actually is. Seems like he's been around for ages.
Still would like a good, young keeper though and I don't think Blackman fits the bill like Courtois does. :(
Courtois only wants to return to Chelsea if he's going to be the No.1 keeper at the club and we're apparently targeting Asmir Begovic as Courtois' replacement.

You can't be flowering serious!! I am so cursed it's not funny!! >:( >:(
Anyway to elaborate on why I am cursed the story goes like this... I am an Atletico supporter, so a few years back now I went and bought myself a Torres shirt, 1 year later he moves to rivals of United, Liverpool. I'm then traveling through Europe a few years later, and go watch an Atletico match and by myself an Aguero shirt. He then decides to join another United rival in City! ::)
And now I'm hearing that our next awesome striker is moving to another flowering United rival in Chelsea is just crazy!! What''s the bet the next amazing striker we get decides to join Arsenal?
Rant over!
I do feel sorry for clubs like Atletico and Dortmund who have almost become feeder clubs.
so the way I see it is that Costa is going for nothing, as Courtois was pretty much signed on an FT three years ago
Chelsea will probably sell Lukaku end of this season which they will regret big time in the future. I can see Lukaku biting Chelsea on the bum like Pogba has United.
Cabaye to PSG.
I found this on Twitter, good ;D
Cabaye my lover, Cabaye my friend, Yohan been the one, Yohan been the one for me. 😢
Everton interested in Sergio Canales from Valencia.. Haha Martinez is still playing FM11 when Lukaku and Canales were the 2 best wonder kid strikers in the game :P
Essien has also left Chelsea to play for AC Milan.
A swap has been completed
Cardiff give Peter Odemwingie
Stoke give Kenwyne Jones
Just a quick update on my poor, showerty Fulham lads:
a) Clint Dempsey <3
b) We've tried and failed to acquire Ravel Morrison, Neil Taylor, Steven Defour (really liked the look of this one :( )and Liam Moore
c) Rumours are that we're looking at: Sergio Canales (Valencia), Konstantinos Mitroglou (Olympiacos, 17 goals in 17 starts) and Simon Zoller (FC Kaiserslautern, 10 from 18)
So apparently we might get my boy Luke Shaw after all. ;D

Hope not because it will probably mean losing Courtois.
Apparently Fulham are after Cleverley on loan! :o
Kurt Zouma has signed with Chelsea for an undisclosed amount
Wilfred Zaha has joined Cardiff on loan
Aaron Hughes has left Fulham on loan to join QPR
Lewis Holtby has joined Fulham on loan
Frimpong has signed with Barnsley for an undisclosed amount
Zouma signed for 12 million pounds, seems like a decent buy
He'll also remain at St Etienne (now on loan) for the rest of the season
Zouma will become a first team player next season, Will this push Terry or Luiz out of the club, Mourinho doesnt exactly like both of them.
Zouma is good, but that good.

pretty underwhelming Deadline Day if you ask me. The biggest deal was probably Zouma to Chelsea
Anyway here is a list of the "bigger-name" transfers: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11096/9141757/hit-or-miss
Wolves getting rid of Griffiths, Hennessey and Siguardason was quite a strange decision
Berbatov and Senderos leaving Fulham was big but they were able to bring in Hetinga for free
Still quite a poor transfer month.
Palace signed Thomas Ince, Joe Ledley, Scott Dann, Wayne Hennessey and made Jason Puncheon's loan move permanent. They've strengthened all over the park. Really was an excellent day's business for Tony Pulis and I now think that Palace will survive.

Sasa Ognenovski to Sydney FC though..
So for the summer transfer market apparently PSG are going to be making a 40 million pound bid for Januzaj. Currently Januzaj is on 30k a week and PSG want to triple that amount offering him 100k a week which will make him one of the highest paid teenagers in the world.
Vidic has also said he will leave United at the end of this season.
