You guys all suck.

There ya go. I settled it.
This all started with a humble brag about Ahern, but nobody mentioned who had the foresight to draft him and made the trade of a lifetime which involved swapping the aforementioned with the Dawson Simpson.  8)
Did we buy him off you?  I should find the trade, but pretty sure we paid something like #13+Simpson for Ahern+pick.
And who did you get with #13?
Pacific trade: Dawson Simpson, Pick 13 + Pick 33
Cairo trade: Paul Ahern + Pick 21

13 ended up being Rhys Mathieson, 33 was David Cuningham. 21 was Callum Ah Chee.

No regrets after big Daws pumped out 123 this week.

Redden was supposed to average 95+ this year and after a dismal first 5 rounds he bounced back with a 127 on the weekend. Is he going to start delivering?

Has averaged 109.7 from this point onwards with back-to-back 154s. He is delivering in spades.

Ringo

Just to clarify You say Grundy and Fantasia were replaced by Spargo and Waterman - However Jettas score has been added not Watermans. Suspect Jetta should have been the replacement but can you confirm.
Saad from Utilities replaces Grundy
Gray from Utilities replaces Fantasia
So Spargo and Jetta go to Utilities.
However if Waterman is the correct replacement then we win by 9 wishful thinking though as I think my calculatons are correct  :) :)

Apologies Ringo, I've just rushed this and have already had to fix a couple of mistakes  :-X

I simply wrote the wrong thing; Jetta & Spargo were correctly added, Waterman remains on the bench, I just wrote the wrong name

That seems a pretty fair trade.   Another reasonable offer by Pacific, still waiting to see these so called ridiculous ones.

Toga

This thread ;D ;D

Will take the win but average week from our boys. Need to get a couple of our defenders back.

Jay

Our team is doing alright this season! Maybe there's some method to the madness of not trading out your good players? :o

Yeah, but just think how much better we would be if we had Dom Tyson VFL scores over a fringe player like Andrew Gaff.
I guess with hindsight we would know better, luckily hindsight isn't a skill set needed in this game... :)

Just looked 2 years ago we where close on Hill for Gaff but you wanted abit extra due to age and i didnt want to pay it,

hindsight a wonderful thing.

No problem with keeping your good players - that was never in question

It was the ludicrous demands that we we're laughing at

Exactly Holz

2 years ago a trade involving those 2 was more than reasonable. Fast forward 2 years and of course Gaff was the better choice

Same as the Tyson/Gaff discussion and the Tex/Stanley discussion - at the times of discussion Tyson+more for Gaff (coming off a 93avg) was certainly reasonable. I've got no problem with Pacific declining it, but to say it was bad is just wrong, where as on the other hand offering Stanley, a guy who averaged 70 and wasn't even best 22 for Tex who was averaging mid 80's and no JS issues was a joke

UTM can't get his head around any of this, and is obviously not capable of admitting when he is wrong so I'm not going to waste any more energy on this discussion. I think it's fair to say NY and Pacific won't be trading anytime soon. Probably fair to say Pacific and 80% of the comp won't be trading anytime soon too :P

We owned Gaff 2 years ago and would have never sold him for Hill.
