Round 7

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ

AFL teams will be announcing their teams at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday (Wednesday for Thursday night games)
Sunday teams are confirmed at 5pm AEST on Friday (Saturday for Monday games)

We WILL NOT be using a partial lockout, please read the rule below.

You are encouraged to name your full team at the start of the round and edit accordingly as teams drop each day. I understand this is not possible for everyone, hence why it would be preferred that people name their full team to begin with.

If you make any edits to your team, please do so in a new 'quote' post.

There is no loopholing allowed in ADT

- Fri - Sun games are back, so you can name four (4) emergencies.

- In the event a coach either submits an incomplete team or fails to submit a team at all without contacting the admin, they will receive a warning/strike and their submission from last week will be used. Penalties for this can be found in the rules post (no sacking coaches because we barely have enough as is).

Friday night FULL LOCKOUT at 7.50pm AEST

- Teams are to be posted in this format only

Round 7

Midfield Might Sees Dallas W
Washington Senators (1558) defeated by Dallas Coyotes (1722)

Standard programming for Dallas, lead by Oliver, Anderson and Walsh as they go 7-0 and look all the more likely to knock up another undefeated H/A season. Unfortunate loss for Washington, but you can't go in expecting a win against Dallas these days.

Barrass Barely Gets LA Home in ADT Epic
Los Angeles Kings (1820) defeat Springfield Isotopes (1817)

What. A. Game. I said it was possibly the best ADT game of all time, and with good reason. A combined 3637 points with a margin of just 3! There were bags of goals, ruck dominations and seagulls to boot! Newman (164) and Marshall (159) top scored for the match, with good support from Cerra (137), Daniel (118) and Laird (110), though Tex Walker (37) was very much a passenger. For LA, Charlie Curnow bagged 9 goals on his way to 151 points, with very solid backup in Ladhams (130), Hewett (124) and Taranto (126), as well as a smattering of extra centurions. All seemed lost though, as the effect of Curnow's bag made itself known in the score of Tom Barrass (14), dragging the score down. But ultimately it was Barrass (through HGA), who determined the game, as LA kept it just close enough to jag a win on Home Ground Advantage! This win gets LA back on track as they look to go back to back, while for Springfield it's a devastating loss, but there's nothing else they could've done.

Hawaii get on the Board
Hawaiian Surfers (1542) defeat Guadalajara Pirates (1466)

Hawaii get their first win of the season, dispatching a struggling Guadalajara outfit. Nothing's going quite right for the pirates, despite the best efforts of Hawkins as he bagged 8 goals. Lots of issues that need to be fixed, while for Hawaii they take one of the few opportunities for a win with both hands

El Paso Can't Eclipse Arizona in Road Trip Blockbuster
Arizona Scorpions (1821) defeat El Paso Pioneers (1782)

This game is essentially just as good as LA/Springfield was, as Arizona also get a win through HGA and a similar score line! Captain Tom Green led the way with solid backup from Blake Acres and young gun Ashcroft, while Arizona sported a more even spread of 100's headlined by the resurgent Jayden Short. Arizona were the more consistent side, but ultimately it all hinged on the HGA provided by Dougal Howard of 40 points, which saw a 1 point heartbreaker turn into a 39 point triumph. Disappointing for El Paso, but they're looking very dangerous this season, and very much in the finals hunt!

Calgary go Nuclear
Bermuda Tiger Sharks (1530) defeated by Calgary Fireflies (1901)

Bermuda languish in 9th for another round, as Calgary go absolutely nuclear! 1901 away from home is absolutely massive, and it was off the back of Petracca, Hall and Sheezel, but with just 5 scores below 79 and none below 60, it was well and truly a team effort this one. Calgary make their presence known, but a 600-odd point swing shows the volatility present in this line-up.
