Round 5

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ

AFL teams will be announcing their teams at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday (Wednesday for Thursday night games)
Sunday teams are confirmed at 5pm AEST on Friday (Saturday for Monday games)

We WILL be using a partial lockout, please read the rule below.

You are encouraged to name your full team at the start of the round and edit accordingly as teams drop each day. I understand this is not possible for everyone, hence why it would be preferred that people name their full team to begin with.

If you make any edits to your team, please do so in a new 'quote' post.

There is no loopholing allowed in ADT

- With Thursday games to start the year, you can name six (6) emergencies.

- In the event a coach either submits an incomplete team or fails to submit a team at all without contacting the admin, they will receive a warning/strike and their submission from last week will be used. Penalties for this can be found in the rules post (no sacking coaches because we barely have enough as is).

Thursday night PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 7.40pm AEST
Friday night PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 5.10pm AEST
Friday night FULL LOCKOUT at 8.10pm AEST

Round 5

Surfers Stuck in the Senate
Washington Senators (1653) defeat Hawaiian Surfers (1632)

Washington jag a win on HGA! Hawaii will be bitterly disappointed with this one, as they almost clinched their first win of the season. A late out for Mitch McGovern likely cost the victory, as his replacement in Cotchin only scored 24 points as he continues his struggles. Aside from that, not much of note, it was a very even affair.

LA Sabotaged by Their King
Arizona Scorpions (1648) defeat Los Angeles Kings (1300)

Koop has gone AWOL in adt, and the Kings are suffering for it, though to be fair, they wouldn't have won anyway. But with percentage being so important at the top of the ladder, will this come back to bite them later on in the season? Probably. Arizona were good without being great, their forward line is still hit or miss, and the defence is having struggles of their own. A big win for Arizona over a top 4 rival.

Home Ground Not Enough in Volatile Affair
Bermuda Tiger Sharks (1661) defeated by Dallas Coyotes (1688)

Bermuda started off strong, but finished in a whimper, with the utilities putting in a stinker. Cam Mackenzie headlined the performance, being subbed on for 20 and basically negating the HGA for Bermuda, though this effort was beaten by Dallas' Soligo who was subbed off for just 14. Dallas' heavy hitters were there to carry the load as usual however, as they get home in a nervy affair and stay unbeaten.

Springfield Simply Too Good
Calgary Fireflies (1606) defeated by Springfield Isotopes (1727)

A comfortable victory for Springfield who continue their impressive start to the season, led as always by Laird, Springfield's quality was just too much for Calgary, who had an underperformance from captain LDU. Sheezel C next week? Anything's possible.

Guadalajara Scrambling, El Paso Keep Rising
El Paso Pioneers (1607) defeat Guadalajara Pirates (1419)

Guadalajara have been dealt a stiff hand with injuries and the like, as they limp to a paltry 1400 score. Crouch led from the front, but Tigers duo Sonsie and Pickett decided to coordinate some stinkers together. Long road ahead for the Pirates. El Paso on the other hand are enjoying a nice vein of form that sees them take 2 wins in 3 rounds. Nick Daicos continues to dominate, though with suspensions to Green and Merrett looming, celebrations will be toned down.
