@Geoffmack

I intend to get Simmo when he has those one or two off games that he always does. He is averaging more this year than he has for his entire career, I am doubtful that he can keep it up.

True but will he finish top 10 defender? Could do u know...

Round 6 Score: 2,126
Overall Rank: 30,636

Had a pretty good week this week, would've been an excellent week had Weitering not gotten injured, but such is life...

The Good: Shaw, Houli, Rich, Parker, Dangerfield, Ablett, Pendlebury, Shiel, Gawn, Blicavs, Wells, Laird
The Decent: Byrne-Jones, Adams, Mills, Liberatore, Kerridge, De Goey, Kennedy
The Bad: Weitering, McDonald-Tipungwuti and Hall.

Trades this week:

Dea --> J. Smith (McDonald-Tipungwuti to DEF, and B. Kennedy to FWD)
Weitering --> Zorko (M. Adams to DEF)

This weeks trades will (perhaps temporarily) remove the FWD/DEF link and the FWD/MID link, however I do intend to do Davis for Petracca next week, perhaps offloading Menadue for someone as well.

New Lineup:

Def: Shaw, Laird, Houli, Rich, M. Adams, Byrne-Jones (McDonald-Tipungwuti, M. Brown (Ess))
Mid: Dangerfield, Ablett, Parker, Pendlebury, Shiel, T. Adams, Liberatore, Mills (Davis, Gresham, Smith)
Ruck: Gawn, Blicavs (Goetz)
Fwd: Zorko, Hall, Wells, De Goey, Kerridge, B. Kennedy (McCarthy, Menadue)

Thoughts on this weeks trades? I am aware that Laird has a toe issue and will miss 1-3 weeks, but am willing to hold him on the bench, ditto for T. Adams if he is only set to miss 1-2 more as well.

Thoughts on getting Dahl over Zork?

But as SilverLion and myself are both Brisbane supporters, the magician takes the cake ;)

Indeed both are great, not only am I going Zorks because of my slight Lions bias, but also because I can't afford Dahl even if I wanted to pick him ;) (only have about 1.5k left after putting Zorks in). Also Zorks hasn't gone under 100 so far this year, so he seems to be a pretty reliable pick up forward this year.

Decent week, nothing too exceptional though.

Round 7 Trades:

Mills --> Petracca
De Goey --> Simpson (Via M. Adams DPP)

Was originally only going to do the one trade this week, that being Mills for Petracca, however with Houli, M. Adams, Laird, and Wells all out, I had to make the second trade to avoid a donut this week. De Goey was the sacrificial lamb, he hasn't done what I've wanted him to do this year, but has made 80k and was the only player worth trading out for Simpson.

I could trade out McCarthy instead, however the best defender I could afford then is Gibson, and he is not someone I see in the best 6 defenders at year's end.

New Lineup:

Def: Shaw, Simpson, Laird, Houli, Rich, Byrne-Jones (McDonald-Tipungwuti, M. Brown (Ess))
Mid: Dangerfield, Parker, Pendlebury, Ablett, Shiel, T. Adams, Liberatore, Petracca (Davis, Gresham, J. Smith)
Ruck: Gawn, Blicavs (Goetz)
Fwd: Zorko, Hall, Wells, Kerridge, M. Adams, B. Kennedy (McCarthy, Menadue)

However, due to injuries, this week's lineup looks like:

Def: Shaw, Simpson, McDonald-Tipungwuti, M. Brown (Ess), Rich, Byrne-Jones (Laird, Houli)
Mid: Dangerfield, Parker, Pendlebury, Ablett, Shiel, T. Adams, Liberatore, J. Smith (Davis, Gresham, Wells)
Ruck: Gawn, Blicavs (Goetz)
Fwd: Zorko, Hall, Menadue, Kerridge, Petracca, B. Kennedy (McCarthy, M. Adams)

Thoughts?

Only real thing I need advice on is whether I should trade Houli for Simpson, or De Goey for Simpson. Thanks in advance!

After a couple of injury plagued weeks, looking to bounce back stronger than ever this week.

Round 9 Score: 2,210
Overall Rank: 24,433

The Ascended One: Shaw
The Good: Simpson, Rich, McDonald-Tipungwuti, Brown, Pendlebury, Parker, Shiel, T. Adams, Blicavs, Zorko, Montagna, Kerridge, Petracca
The Decent: B. Kennedy, Liberatore, J. Smith.
The Bad; Gawn (again), Menadue (again), Byrne-Jones (again)

This week, its all about getting Goldstein. I have two options to get him in. I am using Footywire for my breakevens, so they may be a tad off.

Option 1:
Out:
Byrne-Jones (BE: 106)
J. Smith (BE: 3)

In:
B. Williams (BE: -43)
Goldstein (BE: 66) (via Blicavs DPP)

Option 2:

Out:
M. Adams (BE: 70)
Gresham (BE: 42)

In:
B. Williams (BE: -43)
Goldstein (BE: 66) (via Blicavs DPP)

Am currently leaning towards Option 2 as I feel the money lost from DBJ will be outweighed by the cash gained by Smith. Thoughts?

Other possible players to take out: McDonald-Tipungwuti, M. Brown, Menadue.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Asparagus

DBJ may miss this week with injury, hurt ankle, therefor he will not lose cash.
Also I don't like Williams' JS at all with so many Dogs to come back in the next 2-3 weeks (Boyd, Suckers, Adams etc.)

If DBJ plays then he has to go with such a high BE.
Do you still have McCarthy?

SilverLion

@Asparagus
Not 100% confident with Williams' JS, but he should hold his spot for a couple more weeks at the minimum, and with no other options surfacing, he seems the only viable choice currently.

Forgot to include last weeks trades, which were:

McCarthy --> MacPherson (via DPP)
Houli --> Montagna (via DPP)

Am strongly considering B. Kennedy and Gresham for Goldstein and B. Williams this week, which I shall call Option 3.
