Well the season is just about over, so post all the rumours you hear in this thread!
Rio Ferdinand has left Manchester United - http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/9309389/premier-league-rio-ferdinand-leaving-manchester-united-this-summer
Diego Costa to Chelsea for 32 million is very close to a done deal too - http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9309372/transfer-news-chelsea-agree-deal-to-sign-atletico-madrid-striker-diego-costa
It looks like the Costa deal is all but done. :D

Diego Costa to Chelsea for 32 mill. Surely Lukaku's going to get sold then?
I dont think this spells the end for Lukaku at all, more that two of Torres, Eto and Ba will be in strife.

I agree, at least one of them is going (you'd think)... but it wouldn't surprise to see two go.
Lukaku seems like he could leave. I hope he comes back to Everton but the price could be a worry. I wouldnt want Martinez spending all the transfer budget on one player and having to rely on loans again this season. Need to build a good solid team if we are to aim for CL this year and we also have to play Europa League which adds more games onto the list.
Can't expect McCarthy to be running around playing every bloody game LOL
Mourinho has already said etoo is gone. Torres will stay. Will be Costa/Torres/Ba
However they had this news about cavani and falcao going to chelsea as a done deal last season too.
Looks like the Liverpool Lallana deal will be done before the World Cup.
And its even more than previous thought.
20m was the going price . That's what it looks like it'll be.
Your mob was gonna pay that much too but he chose Liverpool instead
I read that Real really want Suarez. Willing to offer Coentrao, benzema and isco for a straight swap. No cash.
Not worth it reckon.
We were never in for Lallana... We are in for Shaw.
Its not 20m, its 25+. They want him before the World Cup.
Everything I've read is 20m. We'll just see when it's confirmed
If United get LVG. LVG has said that he wants to make Robben his first signing :o
Liverpool are preparing a 40million pound double bid for both Loverrn and Lallana. BR saying he wants to make them an offer Southampton can't refuse.
If Suarez does leave BR already is planning a 60 million pound bid for Cavani.
Ashley Williams, Song, Parejo, Ashley Cole, Mascherano and Cerci are 4 more names that are rumoured to come to Liverpool as is Thorgan Hazard as a loan
Borni will more than likely spend another season on loan at Sunderland
At other BPL clubs
Chelsea may look to straight swap Luiz for Mandzukic
City are looking at bringing in Sagna and Benatia
Arsenal are looking at buying both Carlos Vela and Benzema
If United get LVG then Kevin Strootman is a big chance to go to United
SAF nearly signed him last summer (for a much cheaper price) but Moyes veto-ed the transfer because he preferred Fellaini ::)
I hope Strootman doesnt leave Roma he has been pretty good for them this year before he went down.
As much as I like Mandzukic, Luiz is one of my favourite players... I don't want him to leave. :(

I think he is as good as gone.
Mourinho came out at the start of the season and said something along the lines that he doesnt like Luiz at all. So unless something drastic happens hard to see him staying.
Edin Dzeko is wanted by Valencia for 20m.
Liverpool Wilfried Bony for 18 but Swansea manager has said Michu & Bony are not going anywhere.
Man United target Cesc Fabregas has been allowed to leave Barcelona for 45m as they chase Pogba.
Man United soon to unveil their 1st signing with Luke Shaw for 30m.
Bayern & United Defendsive target Ezequiel Garay has signed on Zenit.
Arsenal could lose Thomas Vermaelen and Mikel Arteta to Fiorentina.
Lampard is close to sealing a new deal with Chelsea.
Rumors circulating that Yaya Toure wants to leave City. I'll take him LOL ;) we'll treat him right.
James Milner is looking to leave City
Toure wants to leave City because they forgot his birthday. ::)

38-mill I read.
Dunno how true anything is around silly season

Chelsea have agreed a deal with Paris St-Germain, worth in the region of 40m for sale of defender David Luiz.

Cahill has another 4 or so years of service left before trading to a lower club.
Terry IMO is on his last legs, has 2 years max at best, could use him on and off to further that.
Liverpool chasing Emre Can hard, and @ 12m he could be a great buy, I just hope Bayern dont exercise their first option clause.
Liverpool are looking at the young Spanish international Alberto Moreno to fix their full back problem.
Liverpool loanee Aly Cissokho has sealed a move to AC Milan, leaving his parent club Valencia. Thank god, very average IMO.
Patrice Evra, signs a one year extension with Man UTD
So happy with selling Luiz for anything above 30mill. He proved time and time again last season he's a massive liability at the back and like Tom mentioned with all the kids coming through he really was at an awkward age/ability range. Considering we paid a touch over 20 for him, this is a very handy profit creator ;)
Good luck to him though, he seems a really cool guy.

Arsenal offering 3m for Ashley Williams of Swansea. :o
i know their a bunch of tight arses but c'mon, be realistic you Gunners.
His stats are on par if not better than some of the bigger names in the EPL.
More passes/tackles/interceptions than Skrtel/Terry/Vertonghen.
Liverpool/Arsenal chasing Pedro of Barca for 20m, and Zakaria Bakkali of PSV

Looks like Lambert to Liverpool is almost a done deal, barring a medical. Around 4m estimated fee.

Hendo's stats as an overall are better than Cesc.
Better defensively, Cesc is slightly better offensively. Hendo dishes out more key passes per game, and both with similar pass percentage.
its not like Cesc will take his spot or gerrards and he wont want to be a squad player like he already is.
could be a long term replacement for gerrard.
personally i like the Emre Can move, 10m. still has plenty of growth left in him. Cesc is at his max.
these are the main targets for liverpool so far.
Alberto Moreno, 21, Sevilla, Full back, 16m.
* love it, QPR want johnson, Flanno can be his replacement, and Enrique can be cover.
Rickie Lambert, 32, Southampton, Striker, 4m.
* great cover, proven scorer, happy to be squad player.
if borini stays, great, if he goes to sunderland, then great too.
Dejan Lovren, 24, Southampton, CB, 15m.
* we need CB's, rumors of Agger going, and a few simple mistakes we need a solid CB.
Emre Can, 20, Leverkusen, Mid, 10m.
* long term replacement for Captain Fantastic.
Adam Lallana, 26, Southampton, Mid, 25m.
* was at 20m, now we pushed it up to 25m
i dont think we should go any higher than that. Better options at that price.
no more overpaying for english talent.
Xherdan Shaqiri, 22, Bayern, Winger, 15m.
* would be a great get, we'll see how it goes.
Alexis Sanchez, 25, Barcelona, Winger, 20m
* i want this to happen NOW. must buy.
i'd defo be happy with all those, except Lallana. solid player but a tad over priced. 15-19m MAX imo.

Taggart leaves the Jets after two seasons in the Hunter, during which time he scored 18 goals in 44 appearances.

Stupid copy and paste >:(
So United sign Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw.
I assume hardly no one knows much about young Ander. This is what a reputable poster from another forum who used to work as a scout, says about him.
Quote
'm a big Ander Herrera fan of course. He has radar and see things that most others do not. Great touches, great passes, constructive and inspired, quick or deliberate. Then amazingly cuz he just doesn't look like the sort, and maybe he should cut back on it a little bit, he throws himself into defensive duel play, and for 2-3 years now, both for Zaragoza and Bilbao, is one of the better ball-winners in Spain. Unique player.
This kid is unique with one of the most beautiful emerging football brains in all of football and I'm guessing if he was at Barca he would be a superstar already. I love him as an option in all 4-3-3s. His fantastic passing/reading of the game and despite being so skinny that he is one of weaker looking players around, ever since his Zaragoza days, continuing at Bilbao, he keeps proving himself as a very good ballwinner in central midfield
Leaving feelings about Manchester United aside, in a way it is great that this very under the radar wonderful player is finally getting some attention and that he is actually wanted by a club like that is of course an important and great compliment in itself.
After Kagawa (though Ander is more of a number 8/10 hybrid) you could say he'll be their second venture into this type of player. Someone not particular fast, big or strong but very skilled and intelligent. If he has to live up to the running of various high-motor teammates and opponents or watch the players behind him hoof it up in the air, to Fellaini or whoever, well then there is a chance it could all be a waste.
I suspect United would want him to add a lot of muscle. Like already mentioned the unique thing about him his build and his skill is his very combative nature on top of it. He loves to tackle, has always been a leading ball-winner in Spain (though in a more aggressive pressing non banks of four environment) and will probably want to prove himself there in England as well.
Most importantly he is one of very few players I want to call a genius.

Apparently Frank Lampard is doing a guest stint as well at Melbourne City (before going off to NY FC) :o :o :o. Got to say, at least we're getting more big name players into the A-League if this goes through, but the Melb City lineup could be pretty lethal for those 10 games :P.
And what happens after they leave?
Dismal heart again?
Yep.
Going to be very annoyed if we end up missing out on Shaqiri just like we missed Erikson >:(

Liverpool confirm Lallana and if Suarez leaves we could get Shaquiri and Sanchez. That'd mean Sturridge in the middle with those two on the wings :o very strong. But I wouldn't mind if we just get one cause I want Sterling to get time.

I think the consensus seems to be that Suarez is definitely leaving, although in saying that, it was a similar feeling this time last year. I just hope that if he does go, it's for the suggested 100mill and we don't butcher the money like Tottenham.
Definitely would like Sanchez + Shaqiri for added depth to deal with the heavy schedule. Sterling's still very young, I'm sure he'd still benefit from being a rotation/super sub.

Chelsea has agreed a deal to sign striker Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.
The Spain international had been frequently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge after an impressive campaign with the Liga champion.
And Chelsea confirmed that it had met the buyout clause for the 25-year-old.

You think you can make a run at a title without Suarez? Good luck.
Love the thread, just had a read over it, can't wait for Arsenal to make a signing! By the sounds of my sources I'd say we've pretty much signed Mathieu Bebuchy for around 12m (I'd prefer Aurier but we could get both I suppose) and apparently we've made a bid in the region of 32m for Alexis Sanchez which is very exciting, Also heard we're going to sign Schneiderlin, not sure how I feel about that, don't know too much about him,
Schneiderlin would be an improvement on any team in the EPL.
No idea where you got the Debuchy thing from btw.
I really hope that Barca don't buy Suarez, we don't need his presence at the club however it might put some bite back into the attack. ;)

Pre chuffed atm but we all know Chelsea's track record with big-money strikers..
getting cesc so cheap is huge.
we had to overpay for ours due to our position and everyone knowing we needed to spend.
still happy though.
In Arsenal news I'm hearing the Debuchy deal is pretty much wrapped up for
Mourinho has gone and signed a 19 year old Croatian called Mario Pasalic.

He was just starting to hit his straps at Barca last season, I'll be sad to see him go since he's such a hard worker; however I wish him a successful career with Arsenal.
Two huge signings for Arsenal. Hard to look past them and Chelsea for the title at the moment. That's if Ramsey, Ozil and their back four stays healthy.

Balotelli rumours circling. Bony looking like a done deal.
I think Liverpool list is okay still. Balotelli would he awesome as would Shaquiri, I'm confident we can still have a chance at the title.
Still got Sturridge.
Thanks Luis. We've had a good run.
Still think Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool will be contesting the title. Spurs, Everton and Man U the next tier of sides. I expect Southampton to drop off somewhat too.

Firstly, as a rule of thumb, don't listen to what goal.com says. It's a site renown for making up random bs transfer news.
However in this case, Di Maria has been linked to Man U for ages with James Rodriguez going to Real, but more recent news suggests Di Maria's going to PSG.

Haha don't like our chances but that'd be a crazy good signing.
Pretty happy about the signings so far but we need a star. Reus would be perfect, but all reports are rumours without substance so far. From what I've gathered he's pretty happy where he is.
I'd love to sign Lukaku rather than Bony, although either way I'm pretty content. Markovic + Emre Can two pretty decent signings, although might not have an immediate impact.
Pretty devo about Markovic. He is pretty legit and now actually have to watch Liverpool because he is really enjoyable to watch.

Age is a bit irrelevant here. Along with Ivanovic and Azpi, Luis can cover the fullback positions for the next 2-3 seasons.
Replacement acquired.
Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott in the same midfield, Through balls for days, 8) wouldn't mind another striker like Remy just to give us something different off the bench from Giroud, could be an explosive sub, Really keen on Lars Bender to take over from Arteta but apparently we're looking at Khedira, I trust We get knows what his doing buying Debuchy, I think it means he rates Jenkinson and Bellerin as they'll have plenty of years to fight for the RB position once Debuchy is too old, 8) 8)

Keylor Navas to Real Madrid official
That puts Casillas, Diego Lopez and now Navas on Real Madrid's books... who's gonna go? I can't see them keeping all three.
Casillas has had a great career but I think it's time for him to move on. He's been shaky since he had that fall-out with Jose Mourinho and has never been the same player since, clearly evident at the World Cup. At the same time, he's by far good enough to be #1 for a LOT of clubs. Reckon he should move before he slips into obscurity.. but that's just my opinion

Micah Richards off to Fiorentina on a loan
Ron Vlaar being targeted by Manchester United and Arsenal
Toby Alderweireld undergoing a medical at Southampton as well - surprised United aren't going hard for him, as he can play as a right-sided CB in a back three, or at RB and CB in a back four... that one puzzles me

That's pretty damn funny!!
Falcao to United suddenly makes a bit more sense when you consider the following:
- Javier Hernandez has left on loan to Real Madrid
- Danny Welbeck could well be leaving via loan or permanently
- Robin van Persie is apparently needing knee surgery
That would leave Rooney as United's only recognised striker, which would have them in even more dire straits. Shock transfer but could prove a necessary one
In other news Nigel de Jong is close to joining MU, Stoke are looking at Aaron Lennon, while Petr Cech and Jermain Defoe are targets for QPR. Ryan Shawcross is also being linked to Everton and Manchester United, Joao Moutinho and/or Mats Hummels could be back on the cards for United, and Marco Reus is linked to Arsenal.
Sure to be a frenetic finish to a wonderful window
Not much of it eventuated it seems.
Welbeck to Arsenal, Ben Arfa to Hull still in the works.
All Summer ain't long enough hey :P
