Pros - sensational midfield emergency with curnow
has me on the ropes with a 9 count
yeah thats a ripper team prossy well done ;)
Killer side Prossy, if u had the right rookies on field big score this round id be thinking ?
liking the Gamble and Petrie link :)
Great Team - Nice Choice of Rookies they're a bit unique as well.
2150 - nice for a season opener.
Looks like our collaberation has helped both of us Prospector. I finished with 2133 for the 1st round.
Yep, a great start all round, valk. I hope others in our common leagues are going well too.

2130 for me..great team Pros...I have Swan Boyd and Montags too
These 3 could score anything!!
2120 for me, could of had more but i didnt start mckernan or tapscott and had foley and astbury starting
quality team mate, are you subbing in or out any players for this week? if so who?
Everitt will go. He's not playing the role he did in pre-season, and I'm not copping the price drop.
OUT Atley ($96,500) | IN Liberatore ($92,500) |
OUT Everitt ($281,700) | IN Otten ($142,400)

great team mate, im just suggestin zac smith before his price rise, and/or gettin rid of gamble
Have Petrie as back up for the 2 big rucks in their byes, so why use 2 trades in ruck to make money when there's more to be made elsewhere on the field, and you might need 'em on the field?
Gamble is I think the big weak point at present, but he'll get a little more time yet. Gotta hold those trades if I can.

yeah good call, i was thinking z smith as a good backup but mainly a good cash cow
im also not a petrie fan because a broken foot is in my opinion the worst injury an athlete can sustain. he broke both feet
Smith looks like turning in to good backup AND a good cash cow
OUT Gamble ($157,000) IN Dawes ($320,900)
Bewick on field due to a miscalculation when bringing in Libba - didn't look closely enough at the byes! Oh well, not the end of the world.
OUT Liberatore ($228,200) IN Wallis ($92,500)
OUT Richardson ($136,700) IN Tippett ($114,400)
Rem. Salary Cap: $179,900
Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Brady Rawlings, Brett Deledio, Nick Lower, Dyson Heppell, Danny Stanley (Joshua Toy, Nick Duigan, Andrew Otten)
Matthew Boyd, Leigh Montagna, Brent Harvey, Edward Curnow, Daniel Harris, Mitch Wallis (Dane Swan, Scott Pendlebury, Rohan Bewick)
Aaron Sandilands, Dean Cox (Joel Tippett, Broc McCauley)
Lance Franklin, Steve Johnson, Nick Riewoldt, Brandon Matera, Jack Darling, Luke Tapscott, Drew Petrie (Dion Prestia, Chris Dawes, Andrew Krakouer)
You're looking good! Wish I hung onto Krakouer... you're primed to do something with him & Prestia now.
Wish I got Rawlings instead of Enright this week, he looks like a good unique premium defender (won't be many of them). Duigan is a seller for you next week so you could maybe wait after his bye for when Enright bottoms out (would be good trading). Iles the better pick than Wallis unfortunately but good play with bringing in Tippett. I did the reverse by starting with Tippett and bringing in Petrie after his 143. People laughed after he struggled last week but a ripper score this week.
Ha, I did Duigan --> Enright in SC before this week. Will be much better in DT after this week!
Prepared to hold judgement a little while on Wallis. Tippett was always on the cards once Petrie had been available through R4 - R6 for Cox & Sandi byes. Cheap ruck cover, then cheap forward upgrade.
Thanks for your support and good luck for the season, Andrew!
OUT Otten ($197,000) | IN Shaw ($358,700) |
OUT Curnow ($279,800) | IN Jacobs ($100,500) |
Rem. Salary Cap $197,500

Two big trades! Congrats. I made a late call to hold Curnow, hope it was the right one. Otten's knee seems chronic and I also upgraded to Shaw (for Grimes).
OUT Tapscott ($209,900) IN Goodes ($362,900)
good move how does your overall team look now
Just out of curiosity Pros..why did you out Libba 3 rounds back?
LIbba was rested, Wallis came in, and I was looking at a dohnut or two due to Pies bye and Bewick's hip (I think).
Happily, in SC I had cover, and kept him (No Pendlebury in SC).
I did Libba -> Iles and since last week have been regretting it. This week it meant I had to play Bewick who scored 36. Not good play selling Libba.
Prospector, congrats on the Tapscott -> Goodes trade, perfectly timed. And well done on holding Lower I think it's a big advantage to all who did (including me hehehe).

sorry to say prospector but i dont rate your team
Ooo Bartel... that is cheap but I wouldn't have touched him particuarly when you don't have Selwood. But bringing in Howard is a great decision and your defence looks great. Darling -> Howe a possibility for you next week to raise cash and maybe start Prestia who seems back in town? Then look at upgrading Matera to Sylvia once Sylvia has bottomed out.

Where do you think we can go from here?
The only way is up.. I am going to hang on to swan and montage and try and save a few trades for finals. You
If I can improve this week, then I'd like to think I could keep that up.
I think the trades left is the biggest advantage. Plenty ppl are low, and the damaging injuries are beginning to hit.
I need a forward or 2, but I want them at the right price - JBrown - not yet, Pav - maybe soon. Fyfe - danger Will Robinson. Didak - not yet either, bu maybe soon ...
Yes pav looking tempting ATM. I am not yet convinced with didak and I would like to get pendles after the bye.

lookin very good Prossy 8)
Thx Marcz, just dodging and weaving!
nice team mate what is you overall???
Was 718 - could drop out of the thousand again this week, it's been disastrous!
Are you interested in getting Sylvia this week? Surprised you didn't get him instead of Pavlich. Could've waited until this week and done Matera -> Sylvia..?
Thinking about sitting the week out, with all the Pies back in.
Mmm when you were already getting Howe I think you missed the trick by playing him 7th forward and then doing Matera -> Sylvia this week. But who am I to say, I know you're going for overall and doing far better in the rankings than I!
Not moving Heppell on this week?
With only 1700 this week, dropping a thousand and something places, you might be ahead of me now, Andrew!
C'mon, Andrew. You must be in the best 10K?
I think I'm 4100-odd, going for League.
Nice work. Should shape up nicely for leagues.
Are you selling Heppell this week?
Thinking about sitting the week out, with all the Pies back in.

Hey pros. Mate get your name and your post count back. You have to stay around. Forget the trolls.. Rise above it..
Stay premium..
Seems like troll is word of the month. I'm happy to discuss teams with banter and share when my team goes terribly, what constitutes a troll? Someone who's ranked outside top 200? Or someone with under 100 posts... Cause I'm only one of the two! My intention isn't to "troll"- look I said it 3 times
Quote from: ImSoHood on June 28, 2011, 12:25:11 AM... what constitutes a troll? Someone who's ranked outside top 200? Or someone with under 100 posts...
You have said it three times, but this comment suggests that you don't know what it means. It also sounds just a little like bragging.
I genuinely don't know what it really means. If you read what I post in forum it's not BS.. Chat, yea but if the forum is going to expand outside it's clique "bootstudders" shouldn't be scathed.. Apologies if brag like, no disrespect intended
OK, apologies to you then, ImSoHood. Sincerely.
Trolls visit with a purpose to disrupt, abuse, belittle and bully. It seems to give them their jollies.
FWIW, you certainly are not the worst in chat, imo. I prolly judged to quickly, with too little evidence.
If you'd like to know who the trolls are - who not to "gang up" with in chat, here are some examples ...

Some nice ins there Pros. Good to see you didn't mind their league finals bye :P. Looking pretty much set now 8).
*Peace Out Pplz.
You got Gram & Enright instead of Suckling and/or Birchall? I'm surprised. At least 6 trades is enough to get one of them for Stanley after the Hawks bye next week and make Gram M7/D8. That's what I'd do anyway because they're must have defenders and I don't rate Gram as a starter but at least he was cheap. Great looking forward line, watch Chapman average 110 over the next month of easy fixtures.
Yeah, I dunno Andrew, but this week's score of 2257 has dragged me back 2000 spots overall, so I guess it's not all bad.
I guess Pav and Chappy might not have been affordable if I'd taken more expensive backs ...

Enright ($368,400) - Suckling could'nt have been much more than that, but he's got a bye this week and your team is obviously well suited to coping with them (not having Ablett obviously helped!).
Quote from: Andrew on July 11, 2011, 03:41:20 PM... (not having Ablett obviously helped!).
I'll call that as luck - a combination of not affording and having other problems when he was cheaper. He could still find his way into many teams between here and the end of the season, I reckon!
...and yes, I am on an overall plan, so coping with byes is part of the strategy.

Must haves:
Cox, Goddard, Franklin, Chapman, Hayes.
Ripper week for DT, 2398 moved me up to 1260 overall. Extraordinary that I may get back under the thousand mark again.

What you think I should do, CFC?
Get Robbie Gray v Melbourne for the same price!
It's not a bad thought. His recent form is good, Andrew.
With Melbourne outs piling up and Brogan back for Port, I'm sure he'll get plenty of supply. Get involved.
Who else you considering?
