Pretty sure his ownership was around 60%. With him having a bye coming up and still scoring better than rookies I'm keeping him for now. Im gonna upgrade the rest of the field first.

Just needs to stop giving away dumb arse free kicks.

In no position for luxury trades such as this, still have MacPherson too :(
He's frustrating, but everyone has him, and upgrading rookies is more of a priority
As some have said, bye cover will be handy too
I'll keep him, and instead I plan on trading Dusty unless he dramatically improves because he's been even worse than Dev
He looks terrible. Not a premium. Might get a bit of an edge on the majority if you trade.

If you trade him to a Petracca or a premium Demon/Bomber it could give you an edge, just as long as that premium outscores him for the rest of the year.
The positive with Smith is atleast he has made some cash. It hurts more when i realise Laird, Cogs, Dusty, Cripps, whitfield have lost
about 410k in total, and about 68 sc points on average, all now average under 101 due to form or injury.

Yeah he certainly is not the only under perfoming player this year but this is not a usual year he stays.
1) He is averaging over 80 points per match (including last night's 71), which is higher than the forward rookies.
2) He averaged 97 two years ago (last year he was injured), so there is the potential of some upside.
3) He will be useful during the byes.
4) He has DPP, which could come in handy.
5) His price doesn't look like dropping further than his starting price yet.
6) Other than Simpkin, Whitfield, Walters, Petracca and now Greenwood maybe, the jury is still out on the other forward options.
The Bombers midfield is struggling and they are relatively young, so maybe he gets more of a run through there and turns things around.
I'm holding him for now.

To think Whitfield was $30k cheaper last week, if you didn't already have him.
When you still have Pitto & Starc on field Dev is going A OK. Pitto to Grundy this week if I can cobble together 6 DEFs & Jy is OK .

Starc to Lloyd and Pitt to Gawn this week. only early in the week so who knows by Thursday

On the never again list.
I benched him and took Georgiadis' 86.
At the start of the year I wasn't going to pick him as I had a feeling he wouldn't score well enough. But with Steven not playing Rd 1 I decided to get smith.

I thought I’d go smith over petracca as he gets a lot of tackles and petracca is immensely inconsistent
I couldn’t have been any more wrong
Would love to trade him to Lloyd via Brander but I don't think I can raise the funds. Have to wait and see.

Dev Smith needs lancing but he is the boil that just wont go away. This week I have to get rid of Pitt not sure I can do both Dev and Pitt.
After a pair of 105's to start the year he has turned into an absolute potato
70, 70. 68, 71, 49

Lol ;D the pimple on your ar5e of your supercoach team.
Yeah, he's likely gone from my team this week too. Only carnage will save him.
Didn't see much of the game this week but saw enough to realise his role isn't helping him.
Stinking it up big time, but is it worth holding on to simply because he's already had his bye?

I can easily trade him, but think I am now leaning towards holding him
I'll give him a few more weeks as he will help during the upcoming byes, and he's not going to lose much more cash from here anyway
I'd rather field him than a rookie still (just lol) and I can do other trades in the meantime. Going to move him to M7 for now, getting a mid rookie off field, then can upgrade him to a prem mid in a few weeks time (unless by some miracle he's turned it around)

Gone for me, bringing Whitfield back in. The extra 4 trades is my justification for the move ;D
Also have Wingard there scoring not much better, so Smith has to go

I'm keeping him only because he will be handy during the bye rounds. I don't expect much from him, but there is always the sneaky chance he turns it around.

only chance of turning it around is if we get some mid injuries and they run him on ball. At the moment I dont think he knows what his job is!

Heppell, Shiel and Stringer (who was playing mids) out, and he still spuds it up.
Prior to last week he was still getting enough of the ball (decent AF/DT scores) but his DE was terrible and was giving away a heap of free kicks. Stupid, unnecessary free kicks as well >:(
I have been thinking I will keep him, but I can also do the following trade:
Bewley - Petracca
Taylor - Close
D.Smith - Oliver
It's tempting getting Petracca and Oliver in but I would only be left with 4k though......

I turfed him for Georgiades.
A bit disappointed in his score but felt like he got shafted a bit from Champion Data.
Westhoff had the same stats and kicks one less goal and scores 115 SC.
I understand that Georgiades gave away 2 free kicks but still deserved at least an 80 odd SC score imo. ::)

Always seems that if a player gives away a 50 early, they get penalized the whole game with slow scoring. Smith will probably score about the same anyway..
Yeah MG got completely shafted. Why do 2 50s define a players entire game? The system is broken.

I'm happy to hold onto a DPP forward that can score in the 70's, has no byes, won't lose much money, and potentially has a chance to turn his form around. It will be easy enough to turn him into a keeper later on after we get through some of the bye carnage.

Yeah, his BE is only 39 and he has Gold Coast, St Kilda and Richmond coming up, so should be handy during those rounds. He won't be losing money, he has had his bye and his DPP is handy. There is also the chance that he turns his form around, which could save a valuable trade. He is also priced at a level that is easily upgraded to a premium keeper if required later on.
