AXVS ANNOUNCEMENT

EXPLANATION OF DELISTINGS / DRAFTING / LIST MANAGEMENT

DELISTINGS:

You must lodge your delistings by the deadline of midnight November 19.

Your delistings must be for both you senior listed players and your rookie listed players.

You need to check your current lits here: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,86823.msg1199346.html#msg1199346

This is the only accurate record of your list. If you feel there are any errors immediately PM BB and myself.

In order to take national draft picks and preseason/rookie draft picks you need to have the spaces on your list beneath the caps of 40 and 6 to fit the drafted players in.

DRAFTING

The official draft order:  http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,86823.msg1199347.html#msg1199347

You can take as many of the national draft picks and rookie/preseason draft picks that are available to your club as you have room on your list to take. Once you have filled your list back up to the caps of 40 and 6 you can no longer draft and will have to pass on any further picks, you cannot draft players to take your list past the caps of 40 and 6.

You can use national draft picks to promote players on your rookie list to your senior list.

Every player you draft in the national draft MUST ONLY go onto your senior list.

Players you draft in the preseason/rookie draft which are ( afl 2013 preseason drafted, left over players from the 2013 axvs national draft, axvs 2013 delisted players still on afl lists, axvs players in the pool from 2012 drafts) can go on EITHER your senior list or your rookie list.

Players you draft in the preseason/rookie draft which are afl 2013 rookie drafted players MUST ONLY go on your rookie list.

* With this in mind when you are delisting consider not only the spots you need on your senior list for national draft picks you want to take, but also, rookie promotions you wish to make, AND preseason/rookie picks you intend to take where you will want the player you pick to go onto your senior list.

for example if you have rookie pick #1 you are going to want a spot on your senior list for that player or he will be stuck on your rookie list for the entire 2014 season unable to play unless you have a long term injury and upgrade him mid season.

THERE WILL BE 5 COMPLETE ROUNDS IN EACH OF THE DRAFTS. NO 6TH ROUND.

LIST MANAGEMENT POST TRADE PERIOD #2

Due to this seasons change of being able to trade uneven numbers of players, in trade period 2 some teams will end up trading out more players than they trade in, and likewise some teams will end up trading more players in than they trade out.

At the completion of trade period 2 lists will be brought back to the cap limits of 40 and 6 in two simple steps.

STEP 1. The teams with more than the cap of 40 and 6 players on their lists willhave to delist players to take their lists back to the cap of 40 and 6.

NOTE: These teams cannot delist players they have drafted in either draft in 2013. They must be other players.

STEP 2. The teams with less than the cap of 40 and 6 players on their lists will have to take picks from the remaining pool of players to bring their lists back up to the cap of 40 and 6.

NOTE: These picks will happen in the original pre trade draft order until all lists are full.

If you have any questions or do not understand any of the above please PM BB or myself asap.

The player lists for every team will be posted in the official DRAFT thread as soon as the delisting deadline is reached and everyone will be able to see their list after delistings and see exactly how many spots they have for drafting.

Due to this being the first season of having to delist unless BB disagrees strongly I will allow in the time between the delisting deadline and commencement of our national draft teams to delist further players if once they see their final list they feel they made a mistake and need more room on their lists for draft picks.

THIS DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT YOU MUST POST YOUR DELISTINGS BY THE DEADLINE.

KEEP IN MIND THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE THINGS WILL BE VERY VERY SHORT SO BETTER YOU THINK ABOUT IT NOW AND GET IT RIGHT BEFORE THE DEADLINE.

Okay the trades been changed. I've added 44ND and Colli gave me a late rook pick which he wasn't going to use, as I need another pick so I have enough picks to ensure I have a full list.
Trade period 1
Tigers give Picks 43ND, 44ND, Rook 25
Tigers get Rook 56, Rook 58, Rook 68

Vipers give Pick Rook 20, Rook 68
Vipers get Picks 43ND, 44ND, Rook 17

Ales give Rook 17, Rook 56, Rook 58
Ales get Rook 20, Rook 25

Trade period 2
Tigers give Matt McDonough
Tigers get Majak Daw + Paul Puopolo

Vipers give Majak Daw + Paul Puopolo
Vipers get Matt McDonough

Colli to confirm, JB doesn't have to as his trade doesn't change.

APPROVED

Reasoning: Adding in this extra pick for Colli evens things out a bit and as he says, he has a grand plan for it. I still think it is a bit uneven, but not so much that I will deny it, seeing as all coaches involved know their repsective risks in completing the trade.

Also, we are reaching the character limits in the trade posts on the opening page, so from now on I will be going through and deleting the reasoning for some trades and will no longer be posting the reasoning on the opening page, I will just post it when I approve the trade.

thanks BB, with 6-8 players on my delisting cutting block, these two were likely to go anyway :)

also take a look over my recent PM if you see anything missing from the announcement or that needs changing let me know.

think it is pretty much as we discussed.

So if anyone needs to use a lot of picks in the draft let me know if you have any interest in trading a pick in the 20's or even in the 30's for these 3

N43 , N44, N52.

Surely pop wasn't going to get delisted?? And Jroo said Daw is a 30 ave forward? Not about that. Considering why would he want him lol.

But it's alright I guess.

Puopolo isn't young and I can see where Colli coming from. Puopolo isn't in his long term plans.
I said McDonouts was a 30 ave fwd I'm pretty sure and not Daw  ???

Oh I read it wrong my bad. Remember, look at pops last 5 plus semi final and you will see the huge increase from his overall average. Just saying

poops had the run of his life but is never going to be consistant enough to be a best 4 fwd starter for anyone, not in AXVS.

will be a pressure applying fwd going fwd with possible mid rotations, but definatley on the inside not the outside.

yes british xvs he was gold.

in axvs im not likely to start him over 7 other fwds i have.

and yes he was on my chopping block, after my first 5 delistings it is a semi decent player i have to cut or a youth with potential.

i would sooner cut puopolo than the likes of smedts or nick heynes or taylor garner or the raft of other high draft pick youngsters i have coming through.

the question from my point of view is not what is puoplo worth now compared to mcdonuts , it is what are they worth compared in 2 seasons time.

ask that question and you get an idea of my though process, i am not silly enough to think the deal favours me this season coming maybe not the next but i believe when my youth all come through together in 2-3 seasons mcdonuts could be a gun fwd, puoplo wont be... he will be the same.

Another announcement here, everyone.

Colli and I have decided that the first trade period will officially end on the 18th of Novermber, that being Monday, at 5PM AEDT. We will end it there so we have time to finalise everything before the list lodgement with delistings the following day and then drafting during the upcoming week.

Sorry for leaving it a little late to tell everyone. I hope everyone can still get their trades done in time.

Mcdonuts will probably not play a game.
Maybe not next year but after that he should be close to a regular in our team.

BB67th

Time for me to jump on the pick swapping bandwagon as well. I don't need all of my rookie picks, so I have a few picks up for trade to package for a higher rookie pick.

Rookie 48 + Rookie 63 + Rookie 79

That's what I have to offer and I will take anything higher than rookie 48 for them. I'd even take rookie 47, but I already have that pick :P
