Now that all the trading and drafting is over and we move into the new season, let's see how each teams best XVIII looks now

popedelio

It's hard to say where my best 18 is at, but so far before preseason I have the following

Washington Senators
DEF: Elliot Yeo [MID], Alex Rance, Sharrod Wellingham, Jeremy Howe [FWD]
MID: Luke Hodge, Andrew Gaff, Brendon Goddard, Tom Liberatore, Michael Rischitelli, Stephen Coniglio
RCK: Mark Blicavs
FWD: Michael Barlow [MID], Harley Bennell [MID], Jesse Hogan, Liam Duggan
UTI: Patrick Cripps, Jacob Hopper, Sam Menegola

DEF: this is easily my weakest position, losing Hodge to be MID only has cut it's strength in half essentially, and I can see Yeo losing it coming into next season, will need to trade to improve this area. I can't see it improving during this season unless someone like Billy Stretch starts (unlikely) performing well
Grade: C

MID: Easily the strong point in my team, consisting of 5 guys that are all capable to go 100+ and Rischi and Conigs shouldn't be too far off neither
Grade: A

RCK: Probably the last season I will have Blitz here, seems he will become a roaming utility and likely to lose his RCK status, though that would also mean he should follow up from last season being at least a top 5 ruckman
Grade: B+

FWD: I have 2 very strong forward options, both from Freo, but from there the talent tails off. Though depending on how some young players produce I can see vast improvement. Duggan, Cockatoo, Tomlinson, Martin and Langford, hopefully 1 or 2 of these guys come along and help improve the depth in my forward line.
Grade: B

Average Grade: B

Nige

Guadalajara Pirates

D: Cale Hooker Sam Fisher, Bachar Houli, Jasper Pittard, Matthew Boyd
M: Joel Selwood, Brad Crouch, Brandon Ellis, Luke Shuey, Nathan Fyfe, Jared Polec
R: Aaron Sandilands
F: Jack Gunston, Mark Lecras, Justin Westhoff, Matthew Pavlich
I: Ben Jacobs, Matthew Wright, Heath Hocking Tom Hawkins

Could be better, could be worse. I really only had the rookie draft to make any additions to the team but it's not bad. Got a few aging stars though so the end of the year could be painful.

Roswell

Defenders: Corey Enright,Shaun Burgoyne,Kade Kolodjashnij,Ryan Harwood

Midfielders: Jack Steven,Sam Mitchell,Liam Shiels,Ollie Wines,Lachie Neale,Nathan Jones

Ruck: Ivan Maric

Forwards: Nick Riewoldt,Michael Walters,Cyril Rioli,Jamie Elliott

Utilities: Jack Crisp,Toby Greene,Anthony Miles

Interchange: Aaron Vandeberg(Mid),Tom McDonald(Def),Ben McEvoy(Ruck),Luke Breust(Fwd)

Reserves List

Defenders: Orazio Fantasia,Ciaran Byrne,Jack Fitzpatrick(Fwd)Ted Richards,Luke Delaney,Nathan Brown,Dylan Buckley,Xavier Richards,Tom Doedee,Darcy Tucker

Midfielders: Mitch Grigg(fwd),Viv Michie,Brant Colledge,Dean Gore,Adam Oxley,Alec Waterman,Matthew Kennedy,Joshua Schoenfeld,Tom Phillips(Fwd)

Rucks: Jake Spencer

Forwards: Hayden Ballantyne,Charlie Cameron,Caleb Daniel,Brandon Jack,Mason Wood(Mid),Kayne Turner,Oleg Markov,Yestin Eades,Jarrod Garlett

Forward line has a few guys fighting for a spot,Elliott,Walters,Rioli,Breust, then we have our dpp's of Vandenberg and Grigg who both show they can score well which gives us some flexibility down forward.

Defence is tight and could have Harwood,Tmac and Fantasia(if he goes well) fighting for that last spot.

Rucks will be the one in the better form of Maric and McEvoy

Mids/utilities we have a good amount of youth coupled with some more experience with Mitchell and Jones,we are probably a bit thin depth wise but flexibility elsewhere can cover that if need be.

Atto

Dallas' Best XVIII (based mainly on last year's averages)

DEF: Josh Gibson, Taylor Duryea, Mark Baguley, Matt Rosa
MID: Robbie Gray, Travis Boak, Stephen Hill, Josh Caddy, Cameron Guthrie, Jack Viney
RUC: Matthew Lobbe
FWD: Tom Bell, Jack Reiwoldt, Jarrad Waite, Jack Darling
UTL: Bryce Gibbs, Lewis Jetta, Mitch Hallahan
INT: David Zaharakis (M), Sam Butler (D), Sam Reid (F), Rhys Stanley (R)

Reserves

DEF: Ethan Hughes, Tom Sheridan, Mitchell White, Nick Vlastuin, Cameron Sutcliffe, Sam Mayes, Jack Hombsch, Josh Prudden, Lukas Webb, Jacob Weitering, Riley Bonner

MID: Jordan Murdoch, Jason Tutt, Ryan Bastinac, Ben Newton (FWD), Billy Evans (FWD), Lachie Weller, Connor Menadue, Callum Mills, Ben Keays, Nick O'Kearney

RUC: Toby Nankervis, Marc Pittonet

FWD: Mitch Clark, Matt de Boer, Paddy McCartin, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Hayden Croizer, Corey Gault, Josh Saunders, Zac Webster, Jack Silvagni

Rundown

DEF: A reasonably solid starting squad in the backline, and while that line seems old in the best 18, I'm happy with the backups, they are all young and the majority of them plays regularly.

MID: No star power in the best 18 for the midfield but it is deep! Good mix of older and younger guys. (There's) a few underwhelming guys like Gibbs and Zaha last season, if they go back to their best it'll be a midfield to watch out for.

RUC: I'm much more comfortable with Lobbe as the starting ruck now since Ryder got suspended. A solid back up in Rhys Stanley and two projects in Nankervis and Pittonet.

FWD: The position I am least satisfied with, while the best 18 players are okay there is very little depth. Structurally looks lost too.

Yes and no
I had Hodge as a defender, and Goddard as a forward last season, both lost their dpp, which I expected though

I think the biggest surprise is Barlow getting forward status, which is a massive win for me :)
